We've been all over the Bay Area looking for marble and granite suppliers in order to re-do our bathroom countertops. For some reason there are a bunch of these marble/granite suppliers clustered all in the same area in San Leandro, some even right next to each other. So after going to maybe 6 or 7 places in San Leandro, I can say that Eurostone stood out as one of the better places to check out for a few reasons:
1) They had a pretty nice selection of slabs to choose from. Most of the places all had the same kind of slabs, but this place had some that we did not see at the other places. For instance, being Taiwanese, the Hualien Jade marble slab from Taiwan stood out to us. We didn't see that at any other place.
2) Their prices are really really outstanding. Much better than other places. For the marble slabs that we were looking at, the price was between $9 and $12 per sq. ft. Of all the places we looked at, this place was by far the most cheapest.
3) They only provide materials and do not do any fabrication here. But fortunately, they had a 3 page list of contractors that they recommend. That was super-helpful for us.
4) The quality of the stone was above average. Some of the other places that we went to kept their slabs outside in the open. That can't be good for the slabs, being exposed to the elements.
While their slabs seemed to be above average and better than most places we went to in San Leandro, the quality of the stone did not seem to be as good as the stone at IRG (in Brisbane or Dublin). Of course IRG's stone was more expensive, so you get what you pay for.
I think if you're on a tight budget and want pretty decent quality, then definitely check out Eurostone. read more
