There is now glitz and glamorous Adventure waiting for you at HD, not at all. But the lumber selection is far superior (price, selection and quality) to other box box depot's. You won't find any fancy stuff inside at all but they have isles of hardware, pluming, landscaping and other good stuff. The staff might not be knowledgeable like an ace hardware store. The price and selection makes this the place to shop if you know what your doing. The lumber yard is simple, drive in drive out. After they right a tag you go inside and pay. read more

It's nice being able to grab 80% of your remodeling items from one location. Two things that ruined this place for me. One - the mirror that I purchased was scratched badly and when I came to exchange it, they all were scratched. Two - face masks are required to be worn inside the premises, yet today an associate named Monique did not wear one and was breathing heavily around. Everyone else seemed to follow the mandate. Aside from the great prices, Contractors' Warehouse have the friendliest associates. DEJHUNAE from Store 6133-724 deserves all the recognition for her dedication and her sincerity. 1) Prices: My boyfriend and I compared across all of the retailers for cheap pavers prices and by far, nothing beats Contractors' Warehouse. We ended up getting 6x9 venetian pavers for only 0.99/piece. That's a huge steal comparing to Home Depot selling them for 3.28/piece. They also offers shipping for only $200. We're about to get Over 1,000 pieces delivered. I'm not sure how their delivery services will be so we'll wait for a separate review on that. 2) Customer service: Dejhunae is attentive and caring. She called not one, but 4 other branches all around California to help us get the amount we needed for our project. She checked in with the vendors to ordered extra because the venetian pavers are discontinued. She makes the entire ordering process easy despite the low inventory. Please give her a raise. I never seen an employee more dedicated to an order and customer than her. She is just the sweetest! I'll be ordering more items from Contractors' Warehouse for other projects. Newer home improvement store with no lines at the register - which is refreshing if your used to Home Depot. Came in to exhaust all options for in stock flooring before a fairly large job where it would be useful to choose a material that is sitting on the shelf so that I wouldn't have to stock pile or fear of running out. I wasn't impressed with the flooring alternatives here - nothing that HD or Lowes didn't have. Granite countertops were shocking low in price but I really have no interest in that stuff - its more suitable for a graveyard than a kitchen where the material can stain and crack... On the weekend they had some food trucks and a lively atmosphere. I could see this place picking up where Orchard left off... perhaps even Lowes given that they are closing stores. read more

I love being to drive into the warehouse and quickly pickup supplies with my truck. They have a great selection of materials. The staff here are slow though. Three people were hanging out behind the customer service desk while I waited by the register. I always have to wait at the exit gate before soneone waddles over to check my purchases. read more

We had our second floor house addition done . As we were shopping around we discovered contractor warehouse HD supply . While we visited Santa Clara , the closest to our house was Hayward. The price was right and we had to order door, windows , bath tub , toilets , shower door. If any one has done a large home addition you would know how challenging it could be to place large orders. We placed 22 windows, with 22 door and a lot more. It wasn't easy until Shirley stepped in to help us and sort our order. She spent hrs ensuring our order was correct and placed on time. She went above and beyond her line of duty to ensure we were satisfied. She did not stop there she also gave us her direct contact and email if we had any further questions. If there were open it she followed through email or phone call. Having Shirly at contractor warehouse was like have someone backing you in your construction project and she took away most of our headache . Even when we received our order and we had issues with couple of window , she again stepped in sort it out for us. We never had to follow up, she alway took the initiative to follow through . We come to rely on Shirley to the level I could send my son to pick stuff from contractor warehouse knowing Shirley will get him the right size/ style/ color/ design . I'll consider myself truly lucky that I found this gem. This store is so much better than Home Depot and Lowe's from selection, products, and price comparison. I stumbled upon this place while looking to remodel my condo, when I got inside my mind was blown where has this place been? And why haven't I known about this? All of those questions went out of the window because now here I was, having just left Home Depot disappointed that they did not have anything in-store, and they just had big brand products and items without much variety. I am honestly do not think I will ever be going to Home Depot or Lowe's anymore I found my new hardware store it is definitely definitely a secret gym in the East Bay. If you're looking to remodel or do any work to your home look no further than HD supply. Not only did they have everything I needed at a reasonable price, the staff was very helpful and very personable. I was helped by an associate named Treyvon and he was very knowledgeable and very willing to help. He loaded all of our items and I was able to actually advocate for a potential discount on an item because of a minor flaw. All of the associates that we encountered were friendly. I unfortunately had to return two of the five items that I purchased because I measured wrong, so I can also attest that their return policy is very fair and the return process was no hassle at all. After going to Home Depot to get pavers and tiles I decided to stop by HD Supply and compare. HD had many of the exact items as Home Depot but for less or more for the same price. For example, a 60-pound bag of mortar at Home Depot was $5.50 but for $5.50 you get an 80-pound bag of the same brand at HD Supply. Staff were very friendly and helpful.I ordered the material to be delivered on the day the contractor was scheduled to start work. Items arrived on time, however, not all the items were the right ones. For example, the tiles were similar in design but a shade lighter than what we ordered. I brought my concerns to their attention and Damien, the sales manger, delivered the right stuff and took back what needed to be returned. I was going to give them three stars because of the mixup but the way they took care my concerns deserve five stars. read more

An affordable place for home renovation materials and supplies. It's a slightly hidden warehouse that I think a lot of contractors frequent, so a pretty decent find if you're not too particular on the material (they have less of a selection than you might find at other places). We were looking for a high quality multi-ply engineered wood and a vinyl tile material, neither of which they had here, so we didn't purchase those from HD Supply. Their porcelain tile collection was adequate for our bathroom, so we selected an affordable design in a 12x12 porcelain tile. In addition, they have a small collection of other stonework, which we liked for a new fireplace we were designing, so we got a small quantity of ledger stone from here, as well. Don't expect a lot of help nor customer service, as it's mostly for contractors who know what their doing and a DIY type of place. If you know what you want and are ready to haul it yourself, their prices can't be beat on the materials they sell. read more

When I first discovered this store I was recommending it to friends as it seemed like a good alternative to the traditional chains. Associates were friendly and helpful. All that changed the minute I tried renting some tools there. The process was painfully clunky and slow with the guys needing two computers, a printer and a bunch of paperwork to rent out one tool. What's worse is of the two tools they rented, one gave out as soon as I brought it home. When I brought it back, the tech agreed that it was not working and issued a refund. A few days later, I got a call from Mario, the "manager" who immediately accused me of having broken the tool and having used it so extensively I clogged it up or used up the oil . When I pointed out that the battery was still completely full, that seemed to be lost on him. When I told him they had already looked at it when I brought it back, he said he was the only one in the store qualified to inspect it. The whole process was extremely amateurish, which I thought was slightly annoying. But Mario's total lack of professionalism and rudeness was shocking. At one point, he tried to bully me by saying that he was now going to issue me a bill for the repairs. I pointed out that in any case, I had paid for a damage waiver. He didn't know what that even was. Just the worst broish attitude and zero customer service. If they can employ a guy like that as a manager, my initial take on this place was very mistaken. Our contractor recommended this place for our wall cabinets. Before we went we called to ask for the exact dimensions and style and got a quote. Then we went to the store to get the cabinets and no one there seemed to know their products. We were helped by three separate people and kept getting misled about the products actually in stock. when they finally got someone to pull out the cabinet we chose, it was the wrong style, and the quote we got over the phone was half what it was in the store (probably because they didn't understand what we had asked for). And the guy who had to pull out the box for us seemed really upset he had to do that and it turned out to be the wrong thing. Disappointed we even wasted our time going there. read more

I always like the one in Santa Clara. They are cleaner, crew are more professional and helpful. Home Depot is a zoo! Lowes, you could hardly find any support staff, one of them in the window department argued with me too for no good reason. Funny! Indeed, HD carries more material than Home and Lowes, but Home and Lowes carry more tools! So a difference to note. Overall, HD is better in getting material. Try it, it is fun! Enjoy! read more

Worst customer service !!!!!! My husband got a door at there but didn't notice that's a returned defective item . It was broken and fixed by someone using screws!went there to return today (Hayward ca store), but they refused to accept. After a long long argument and conversation they finally agreed to accept the return but need to deduct 10％！ also the staff keep shaking her head and giving a bad attitude! I ordered a custom door, there were guides they follow however not only was my door under their standards meaning it could be 3/16 smaller in width however mine was 5/16 smaller. I sent pictures and proved my case. to receive a refund on 5/16/21 however 6/8 still no refund....reaching out to fabrication/warehouse. then same call 6/16 and now they 6/20 cannot get me my refund. Nor was I to return the door which in my opinion is their responsibility to come get. No resolution but they had no problem charging my card. 5 agents I have spoken too. Supposedly after today it will be fixed. We Will see read more

HD new home improvement store good alternative to Home Depot or lowes more for contractors better prices open to the public

My father went in this store to buy $800 worth of material that had been loaded on to his truck and he asked for the veteran discount and he showed his Identification card from the DMV that had his veteran status on it, as he well deserved because he served our country in the US Airforce . He has gotten the discount before in this same store and the assistant manager (Neal Robinson) told him anyone could put that symbol on the ID and he couldn't give him the discount . How can someone alter a government issued identification card especially when they served our country in the time of need. We are a proud American military family. I didn't want to use the race card but Neal Robinson wouldn't of acted this way if my father wasn't Hispanic . Not veteran friendly!!!! Discriminating and offensive. read more

This was my first time in one of their stores, and I am blown away. They have doors that the others don't bother to carry, they have space for all the windows the other can't carry, and that Drive Thru lumber yard is the crown jewel. You could really tell that this place is working hard to provide good service and really care about your experience. My husband and I went in today looking for materials for a remodel. They didn't have everything that we were looking for, but they do have way more options on display than lowes or Home Depot! They don't have as many tools, but in the end when you are trying to do a remodel having options is key. At one point I stopped one employee to ask for help and by the end I had THREE of them helping us find our way around the store!! At other places I'm lucky to track down one! Even after we found what we were looking for, more than one person checked in on us from time to time. I really appreciate how attentive they were and such nice people. We will definitely be going back for the rest of our supplies! read more
