We are also very particular about our home and he listened to any feedback we had and adjusted to ensure we were comfortable, as this was our first project with him. He was prompt and on time every day, and he ensured he left our house clean before leaving for the day. Roberto genuinely cares and wants to give his clients the best result possible. We had a small leak in our laundry room that damaged a baseboard (unrelated to the project we were doing with him), but he took the time to look at it and provide his feedback on what we can do once we fix the leak so we don't have to remove the entire baseboard. I would highly recommend Roberto and we will definitely call him again for our next project.

As a person, Roberto is a very friendly guy and a great communicator who made sure to text and/or call me regularly with updates. He was highly communicative the whole project, which I personally prefer, and it went to show how much he wanted to ensure things are done right and to my expectations. This was evident even during the initial onsite inspection, where he patiently spent a full hour with me onsite walking through the details. He was very open and transparent about what he can do, what solutions he offered, what materials are optimal, and what I could expect. It was always very clear what I needed to provide and at what schedule. His quote was very fair, and while I initially thought of using separate contractors, I gave him the bid to manage the whole project. His price was competitive for managing the schedule and the back and forth needed to ensure the work was done at the right cadence. The work schedule was managed tight and completed exactly to our quoted timeline. All of the folks he brought onsite were experienced, organized, and friendly, with different teams scheduled to exchange work days much better than if I had tried to manage the sequence myself. It's clear that Roberto takes great pride in his work from his attention to detail and wanting to do things the right way. Over our ~2-week project, he went above and beyond to make minor repairs and fixes to ensure the end result was stunning. During work, everything was covered neatly and taped neatly. As you can see from the before photos, the house was a bit run down. The oil-finished floors needed both a refinishing and spot repairs of gaps, holes, and water damage, and the final refinish was perfect. The original ceilings had a rolled-on, inconsistent texture with cracks, and Roberto communicated the effort needed to make them smooth. The cost was fair and the ceiling is now essentially perfect. As the house is from the 1920s, some walls still have the original plaster and old world texture which I decided to keep, while rooms with wallpaper were removed, sealed, primed, repaired, and painted. The end result looks fantastic, and as mentioned he went above and beyond doing patching and wall sanding to make it extra perfect, which was greatly appreciated. The trim work was also incredible: all baseboards were installed with care and with sharp corner work, and he flawlessly repaired the crown moulding in the kitchen and office. Overall, I was incredibly impressed. Roberto is a super nice guy who cares to do great work, and he is the first person I'll call for future work on my home.

They provided a very fair quote, but we ended up having to put the project on hold. When we were finally ready to revisit it, they were willing to honor the original estimate, which we really appreciated. This is our first home and the first major renovation project we've undertaken, so we were a little apprehensive going into the process. We ultimately decided to expand the project into a full remodel, and even with the additional scope, the updated price remained very reasonable and close to what we had originally expected to spend. Once the project started, everything moved quickly and smoothly through each phase. Communication was timely and responsive, which helped keep the project moving efficiently from start to finish. Tony, the foreman, and his team were extremely detail-oriented and did exceptional work. The craftsmanship really shows in the finished bathroom. Everything looks carefully installed and precise, and the tile work in particular is incredibly clean. We're extremely happy with how the bathroom turned out and with the overall experience, especially for our first major home project. Brandon and his team did a fabulous job for us. We wanted to replace our old entertainment center / bookcase and Brandon came up with some really neat ideas to add a modern touch to the design. I was very nervous to trust such an important job to…read moresomeone I found on Yelp but I had asked around and could not find anybody to do what I wanted to fix my cabinets. They all wanted to just paint them. I wanted them restored to the original finish if at all possible. We paid a lot for these custom cabinets 20yrs ago and really wanted them to be restored to look the same. Michael came out to look at them and told me he has never tried to do work like this before but he was willing to try and felt pretty confident he could do it. If we didn't like it we could always paint them after. It was a risk I decided I wanted to take. We could not wait any longer. 2 of our most used cabinets were severely damaged with water damage - one from a hand towel that had been hanging on it for 20 yrs that would often get damp from hand washing and the other our silverware drawer. They removed all of the damaged cabinet & drawer doors (leaving behind about half of them that had no damage as they were less often used and still looked brand new) and took them to their shop in Livermore. This made the job much harder as they then had to match the color to our existing ones. In addition our kitchen has 2 different paint colors so they had to create 2 different finishes - one a stain and one a paint. Linda, an employee of Michael was in charge of the painting and stain work and the artist who did the work on my cabinets in their factory. She showed us photos along the way and then came back out to reinstall the doors plus also repair the water damage we had on baseboards and cabinet sides that weren't able to be removed. She taped everything off in our kitchen to prep and then spent 2 days refinishing all of the rest of the damage. She was very careful and caused zero problems anywhere around her work. The finished product was absolutely 5 stars - could not have gone any better. I have delayed for way too long giving Michael and Linda credit for the work she did but the benefit to that is that I can now say after over a year (finished Sept 2024) of having the refinished cabinets in my kitchen they have held up perfectly and still all look absolutely brand new (helps not having kids living at home anymore!) I would 100% recommend you to trust Michael and his team to be honest, hard working and skilled crafts people for your cabinets. I was so impressed with him, his business, Linda, and all of their work. Thank you Michael & Linda!

I met with Junior, initially several weeks ago, to go over fabrication and installation of 4 slabs of Cristallo Quartzite. He we extremely friendly and helpful with suggestions and outlining what SOSA would be able to do for us. We received his quote a day later and was very pleased at how competitive it was. I made the decision to move forward that day. He gave me an aggressive timeline for demo, fabrication and installation and kept to it without any delay at all. We had purchased the quartzite prior to our meeting and arranged for the slabs to be delivered to SOSA once we got our quote. It took SOSA just two weeks to demo, template and fabricate the slabs for a very large counter, backsplash and a bar. The fabrication was superb. Once that was complete it was installed 2 days later. Now onto the crew. They were fantastic. Friendly and always with a smile. They installed the material in 1 day and it was perfect. Every seam and every corner was carefully installed. Junior was always available to and was very accommodating whenever I had a question, no matter how simple. All in all, I think SOSA is the best. Junior and the entire staff and crew were very easy to work with and were always available. They created something that looks amazing with the ease of an outstanding organization. I can't recommend them any higher. They are excellent.
