2026-04-29 update. Changed from 2 stars to 4 stars. I learned that the clutch switch available to buy from BMW is no longer the one that works on my 2004 E46 M3. BMW is to blame for this one. I was able to buy the correct brown OEM E46 M3 clutch switch used on eBay for $125. I switched this out my self and this solved my cruise control and idle issue. Kevin and the European Auto Source team was able to fix the wiring associated with my rear parking sensor noise and passenger mirror tilt down in reverse for an additional cost. These items work now. I mentioned in a previous review that European Auto Source lost my garage clicker worth $40. This was my mistake, as I had it programmed into my rearview mirror. European Auto Source had nothing to do with this. When I came back in to fix the rear parking sensor and passenger mirror tilt down, European Auto Source said they were able to find my ash tray underneath my seat, which mysteriously went missing in my initial repair. I'm 99.9% sure that they found it lying around in their shop, and said they found it under my seat. We never moved the ashtray from its original location. But anyways, no harm no foul. All and all, I am very pleased. My total cost was $4,980.08 + $122.91 for used OEM brown clutch switch + $228.86 for rear parking sensor and passenger mirror tilt down wiring (PDC control module) for a total all in cost of $5,331.85. Compare this to $7,000 to $8,000 quoted from other shops, I am quite pleased with the cost and value, albeit it took a bit of communication and involvement to get there. Got to work with Tom and Kevin in getting a set of Redwood Ohlins coilovers into my Tesla Model 3. Tom also has the Ohlins in his model Y so it was reassuring and informative of what needs to be done. Took a bit of effort to dial in the ride height, nothing to do with this shop, just the way the coilovers seem to be less compliant in the rear. Upon inspecting I saw a lot of orange markings to map out adjustments and to make sure bolts are torqued correctly. Definitely something I do not see often bringing my other cars to have suspension work done. The guys at the shop definitely took the time to install this without cheaping out on time. They also uninstalled my air suspension cleanly and made it easier for me to remove the remaining parts. 11/10 rating if I could. read more

So glad I came across European Auto Source! I had been wanting to upgrade my tail lights to blackline LCI since I got my BMW F33/430i convertible. I found these guys through BMW forums and then started following them on IG. I wanted to upgrade my tail lights from pre-lci to LCI. I had bought a wiring harness from ebay (stay away from ebay seller bmwparts74) that said it was made for my F36 and turns out I was sent the wrong part. I was bummed out and I thought I was going to have to reschedule and bring the right harness but these guys went above and beyond. They replaced the wrong plugs with the correct ones for my vehicle. If I could leave zero stars I would. The issue I had was that I brought my e92 n54 335i to their shop in order to replace the engine belt and fix the leak in the the oil filter housing gasket. Kevin said they fixed it so I drove it home. It's been mostly parked because I haven't gone anywhere since COVID. Less than a month after I got my car back, I noticed it was still leaking. I took it back to EAS and instead of actually fixing the problem they told me the leak was coming from a crack in the water pump. The water pump was recently replaced and only had 20,000 miles on it. They also said the leak was due to the O ring on the oil filter. They slapped me with another invoice to fix the problem that they never fixed in the first place. I took it to the BMW Dealership and had them diagnose it, they told me there was nothing wrong with the water pump and it was, in fact, the oil filter housing gasket that had not been fixed correctly. I spoke to the owner of the shop, Tom, who was unprofessional and rude. He told me there's nothing he can do. His shop was the one who made the mistake of giving us false information, giving extremely poor customer service, and wanting me to bring the car back in to charge me again after I had already experienced their incompetency. I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone. Save your time and money. read more

I have been here twice so far and definitely plan on returning. I've been modifying my cars since the early 90s and I'll probably be passionate about cars till I'm six feet under. Earlier this year I was blessed with being able to get a BMW M4 coupe. I live in San Diego but I was having a hard time finding an aftermarket shop that specializes in BMWs. Then I found EAS through forums and then confirmed on Yelp. I emailed them through their website and received a reply quickly from one of their employees, who ended up becoming my point of contact there. His name is Kevin and he's an awesome dude. Always punctual, courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful. Everytime I go there it's like a kid in a candy store. Tons of BMW M cars everywhere, outside waiting and inside being worked on. They have a nice waiting room with a TV and a bunch of bucket car seats which I thought was a cool touch. They either have or can order pretty much any part you would want for your M. I came into the store side of the shop 2-3 weeks ago asking for a quote to install a short shifter kit that is custom made to order. the guy who met me inside went out back to check on the rate and came back saying it"ll be $275. I said that I will call to schedule the installation as soon as i"ll get the shifter. Got the shifter and called to schedule. now the price for the same job was $375!!!!!! and on top of that, the guy on the phone denied me from speaking to someone's in charge when I asked to. poor way of conducting business and non-existing customer service - and I say that as a business owner myself. respecting your own quotes should be obvious. read more

I rarely post negative reviews but I am very disappointed with EAS. I bought a $2,000 set of wheels from them and they were very nice to get my sale but it was a poor experience thereafter. They recommended a wheel size offset that did not fit my car (photo attached) and I had to communicate with the manufacturer directly to get this resolved. It took 8 months to finally get the right size and EAS reinstalled the brand new tires on the new wheels. After driving my car twice, the tire was completely flat and was leaking air between the outer rim and edge of the tire (no nail in tire or sign of misuse). I shared this with Kevin and he told me they would not warranty their tire install to resolve this, was very rude, and kept arguing with me. I tried to get a hold of Steve for many weeks and he ignored my voicemails and emails. I took the tire to American Tire Depot and they determined that the tire was flat because of damage caused to the inner seam of the tire from the installation (photo attached). There is no way the tire could be damaged on the inner seam other than stretching it too far during installation with the improper tools causing a tear. Im not upset that it took me 8 months to get the correct wheel size. I understand that EAS is a distributor and people make mistakes on recommendations but it is bad business that EAS did not stand behind the damage that they caused to my tire during installation of the tire. They didn't take any responsibility and ignored me after my many attempts to resolve this. RESPONSE TO EAS: -The tires were never driven on initially because the wheels did not fit the car. You mounted BRAND NEW tires on the corrected set of wheels. -I have 6 exotic cars so yes, over 3 months, I drove this car twice. The Federals are R-Compounds so tread life is less than street tires but this has no correlation to the damage you caused at install. -Steve, I never spoke to you on the phone regarding this because you would not call me back. I would have accepted your offer to inspect the tire if you would agree to take responsibility if it was related to the install. Instead Kevin said no responsibility would be taken and your response now supports this. Instead I went to another shop that verified the issue was relating to your install. There is no issue with the wheels, THE ISSUE IS CAUSED BY YOUR IMPROPER TIRE INSTALL AND UNFAIR TREATMENT OF CUSTOMERS. I don't care about the cost of the tire; money is not the issue. It's the arrogance and lack of responsibility that I am disappointed with. I believe in being reasonable and fair. The fact that EAS still does not want to make this right is even more surprising.... read more

I was looking to order and install some pretty specialized parts on my M2 Competition, and when no other shop could find the parts (and, in many cases, never bothered calling me back - and I'm ready to hand over my cash too!), Tom's team notified me they were on back order, provided me cost and installation pricing over the phone, and then when the parts finally did become available, they immediately reached out to me, and accommodated my calendar to schedule the installation. It felt like top notch concierge service! In fact, during the installation, one of the parts just didn't quite feel right, and no questions asked, Tom's team found a work-around solution, using another part that ultimately looked much nicer and worked better too, at a lower price! I was a little intimidated at first coming here because I've never really modified a car before and while I'm not clueless about cars, I probably didn't know as much as they did. Fortunately for me, Robert helped me out and was really chill. The day after I got my 335 I stopped by to pick up some matte black kidney grills which turned out to be a lot cheaper in person. Afterwards, Robert gave me a quick tour of the place and answered a few of my noobish questions while I was there. I went back recently to get a LCI retrofit done along with some other minor light mods and everything went very smoothly. I was in and out and happy with my new taillights.
