I had an AWE Track Exhaust installed on my 2021 M340i. When they installed it in March 2024, I noticed rattling within a few weeks. However, their installation tech told me to ignore it and said it was normal after I brought it in again for them to check. Fast forward to today, the exhaust heat shields, connecting member rear tunnel and center mount exhaust bracket are damaged (about $700 to repair). A different service shop was the one who noticed this, and pointed out that one of the bolts were cross-threaded and the exhaust was mounted too low when they put the car up on a lift during my routine maintenance. I sent the pictures of the cross-threaded bolt, as well as the rest of the damages to Eric and his team, and they said since I was past the 1 year warranty they wouldn't help. The pictures I showed Eric show very clearly a cross threaded bolt, which lead to the rest of the damages. They even stated that over a year of driving could have led to other things damaging the heat sink and bracket, when clearly the damages are all caused by a rattling/improper exhaust install. They said if I had brought it in within 3/2024 and 3/2025 they would have covered the damages. However, why would I bring it in a 3rd time for them to check, even when after their installation tech heard the rattle himself, and said it was normal? Also makes me think even if I had brought it back in within the 1 year warranty period they still wouldn't have covered the damages... I understand businesses can make mistakes, but they should be judged on how they respond to them. Eric and his team's response clearly wasn't great, and I'm confused how they can be so reputable in the car community if this is how they conduct business. If you're considering going to Supreme Power, just don't. Message me here and I'll give you the contact info of the store that found out these damages for me. This store offered to not charge me the labor needed to fix the damages and only pay for parts. They truly have a love for the car community unlike Supreme Power. read more
