4.7/5 stars! Walking around this area, I always passed by this restaurant and finally decided to try it out! The interior is quite dark and the atmosphere is loud and lively, with tables being placed closely to each other. We were seated near the entrance very quickly, which was awesome despite it being a typical dinner rush time. I honestly didn't know initially that they specialized in burgers, but I was pleasantly surprised by their wide selection and protein substitutes. I don't eat red meat, but I sometimes crave a great burger that suits my food limitations. Aside from the beef protein options, they have a variety of protein substitutes that include ahi tuna, fried chicken, grilled chicken, salmon, and their veggie patty. - Mac N' Cheese Balls (5 pieces) 4.5/5: These were super delicious and crispy. There were chiles and whole macaroni inside, not like others I've had where the pasta was mushed or chopped up. It wasn't as creamy as I prefer, but it was good nonetheless. - Fresno Fig Burger with Veggie Patty 5/5: I am a goat cheese lover, and combining that with fig marmalade sounded like a dream! I was so excited that this burger was so customizable to fit my food preferences, allowing me to remove the bacon as well as changing the patty to their Beet and Kidney Bean veggie one. The goat cheese was creamy and paired well with the sweet fig. The veggie patty was soft on the inside, while crispy on the outside; you can definitely taste the subtle beet flavor in the mixture. The mustard and arugula were also nice to break away from the sweetness of the fig and pungent goat cheese. - Truffle Cheese Fries 5/5: I chose these fries to sub my regular fries and I couldn't be happier I did so. These might be one of the best fries I've had! They were fried to perfection and topped with truffle salt, Parmesan, and chives. They were also served with a white truffle cheese sauce that was fantastic! The truffle flavor was evident, but not too strong, and the sauce itself was not heavy. Stopped in on a Monday night and had no problem getting a table. The Eureka Sour (made with bourbon rather than whiskey) was delicious, but a little heavy on the ice. I always passed by Eureka while exploring Mountain View, and finally got to try it!! We didn't have a reservation- and upon walking in on a Friday night, we were told it would be a 20 minute wait for a table. We ended up sitting at the bar! I ordered the Wild Child cocktail, which was super yummy! It was a little fizzy and the lychee was the perfect pair on top. For food, we ordered the Honey Glzed Brussel Sprouts and the Bone Marrow Burger. The Brussel sprouts came out right away, but we waited for about 45 minutes for the Bone Marrow burger. It was a bit underwhelming to be honest.. Waiting for the food to arrive for so long, I thought the burger would be better. I would not recommend to order this burger. The brussel sprouts were a little too burnt for my liking but the glaze really saved it! I would definitely give this spot a second chance in the future. This review is a result of a couple of trips to Eureka with friends. To begin with, Eureka is doing an absolutely stellar job with food, ambience , service and the vibe in there is just phenomenal. Its ambiance strikes the perfect balance between casual and upscale. The staff is not only friendly but also highly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. They offered insightful recommendations, promptly catered to our needs, and made us feel like valued guests throughout our visit. Eureka's menu is filled with creative and delicious options. Across two different visits , we ordered crispy brussel sprouts and cauliflower bites (repeated across the 2 visits) alongwith Spinach and Artichoke dip, Watermelon chicken salad , Napa chicken sandwich and Saered Ahi salad( repeated as well across the 2 visits). All of these were crafted to precision cooked with an effort and plated out very well. Absolutely recommend the Seared Ahi Salad along with the Cauliflower Bites and Brussel Sprouts. Have seen Eureka packed every weekend for quite a long time, but for some reason I don't want to venture inside. I guess it's attributed to the fact that I don't drink. Happy hour advertisement won't sway me. Went there last night, got a table inside after 20-30 min waiting. Room is dark, floor is slippery. Waiter was friendly, able to provide suggestions of popular food. Service was quite fast, our fried shishito pepper arrived less than 5 min after the order was taken. It was room temp outside and a bit warm when you bit it down. We ordered bbq bacon, double smash, and 28 day dry aged bone marrow burgers. They were tasty but very greasy. The brioche buns were great for the burger but they were too much butter. The beer came quite late. I am not sure I want to come back there any time soon. read more

A group of 8, we arrived early to guarantee a table outside, which was lovely and far quieter than being inside. Service great - very friendly. Food was very good - the steak salad with (very little) blue cheese was excellent but needed more of that blue! Fried chicken sandwich was crispy and delicious as was the fish and chips. I love Eureka and come here regularly-- the food is consistent and service is always great. They also have a ton of big screen tvs so if you want to watch a game it's the perfect spot and vibe. I'm surprised I haven't written a review yet but Dani was our server today and I wanted to give them a special thank you for being so kind, fun, and on top of everything!! For drinks, I highly recommend the Moscow mule-- it's the best one you'll find in the Bay Area. Eureka makes its own ginger syrup and it is beyond amazing. They also have a great beer list with a lot of hazy IPAs if you're into that! For appetizers I highly recommend the Brussel sprouts and the cauliflower (the aioli that comes with the cauliflower is so so good). All of the burgers are phenomenal. I go there almost every night by myself or with others and spend at least $100 per person. They changed their regulations where you need to leave a card to open a tab. I gave them a card to tab and paid with a different card but they charged the original card by accident. They made a mistake and accused me of making a mistake even after the bartender stated he was the one that made a mistake. The MOD accused me of yelling at the staff for no reason when I didn't. The manager never tried to mitigate the situation and if anything, she escalated it more. She kept saying I am in the wrong and if I keep raising my voice I will be banned all the while the bartender is right next to her stating it was his mistake. I just wanted management to acknowledge it was their mistake but it's somehow my fault they charged the wrong card. I told them I tried to charge a different card so I don't get in trouble and the MOD literally told me it's my fault for trying to do that. WHO DOES THAT? I am from the industry and I would NEVER say that to a customer. She also threatened to call the cops for me asking her to correct her mistake? There were so many wrong responses but never the correct one, which would be a simple "I'm sorry". I would never go back even if I wasn't banned after this incident. The most unprofessional manager I have ever met and I actually felt attacked. I was literally accused of using the wrong card even after it was established I paid with the correct card. I would give -100 stars if possible. I would advise retraining management. This wasn't my first negative experience with her either... This was at 11 pm on 9/19. read more

We went here before the 4th of July concert. It's in a convenient location right on Castro street. The facility looks like any other Eureka location and is generally presentable, but I will say the men's bathroom smells worse than some porta-potties. The service was mediocre at best. Lily came to take the order quickly but never returned to check on the food or offer anything else. Maybe they don't want to know how the food is. We ordered the $12 "hoppy hour" burger which was pretty awful. The meat was flame broiled but tasted dry and old. The fries were dry and "hollow", not sure how else to explain that. The $8 hoppy hour spinach and artichoke dip was decent tasting but was a very skimpy serving of chips and dip for that price point. The $17 wings (practically $3 per wing) were ok. The dry rub wings were better than the beer barbecued version. It came with 2 carrot sticks and 2 celery sticks and about a teaspoon of watery ranch dressing. Anyway, I don't really recommend this location based on food quality and service. read more

The food was amazing! The drinks were ok. The only down part, I came home and ate my leftover crispy veggie burger to find it had a piece of wood or something in it. It's a good thing I chewed slowly because I could have really done some serious damage to my inside of my mouth and throat. I will be reaching out to the manager tomorrow so share the photo. I would have given 4 stars but the sharp piece of wood or whatever it was lowered the rating:( Updated: I called to leave a message but I haven't heard back now a couple weeks later- still waiting for a solution. I wish they had a stronger truffle flavor but it was still good and I would order it again. The cowboy was big but not too big where it fits uncomfortably in your mouth. I would get this burger again for sure. My partner got the steak salad. It was fresh. Wild Child, the drink, is really good! I asked for something with little to no hint of alcohol taste -- I'm not a drinker, and our waiter suggested wild child. It was definitely good, sweet and little taste of alcohol. Why Eureka, other than its good operating hours? I expected good services, excellent beers (that I cannot get elsewhere), and good quality foods. I got all three. Got two strong and dark beers from the rotating menu. Very satisfying. We both got protein enhanced salad: I tuna and he steak. The protein portions exceeded both our expectations, flavors also. Both proteins were perfectly cooked: rare enough for the texture and good match to the raw veggies. Services were attentive and not hovering. When I finished the first beer and beckoned for the server, someone just stepped in to take care of it, without fetching "my" server to do it. I liked that. Good portions and I guess it's average price for these burgers so definitely expect to spend almost $20 for a burger. This place serves burgers, chicken wings, salads, and ofc drinks. Took me a while to wait for a seat at the bar, but eventually got a cozy corner spot. There was a dude there that brought his backpack on a date, since he selfishly used a valuable bar seat (while the place was packed) to place his bag on. Dayton, the bartender, greeted me and hit me with a couple of menus. Ordered up a nice beer or two from Alvarado. Great beer. Good conversation too with Dayton - he was awesome to still chat with me while keeping an eye on his other customers across the bar. Cool dude - boss man give him a raise! Though the orders were taken quickly it took a while to be served. I ordered a medium rare burger. when I got it though it looked great, it was barely warm. After taking a few bites it was tasty but not medium rare. Fries were barely warm and a bit hard. Seasoning was fine but I like my burger and fries warm off the grill.
