So, first I was surprised to see this place anywhere other than Redlands. CA (where the Yummerz started). But, to see the great atmosphere and super friendly people? That was very refreshing. Stopped by after work for a burger and beer with a co worker. First impression is a club vibe. Music playing and a bar showcased in the middle. We were seated in a booth across from the bar. That's when things took a south turn. The menu they gave us was dirty and sticky. That is usually a "no go" for me. Took a good 8min before someone came back to check on us. Not trying to dis, the server was a shorter heavier Post Malone tattooed guy. If you get him just know it's gonna be bad service. Our drink order water and a beer took an extra long time to get there. The water glass was a mini version of the beer glass. I asked for a bigger glass for water and was denied. Really?! Got pulled pork nachos. Very good. If you make it that far. Order that. The burger was a "smash" burger. It was the thickest coldest burger I have ever had. It wasn't hot. Not even warm. It was actually cold to the touch. Like my mouth was warmer than the burger. Nasty. The fries were cooked easily 15min earlier and put in a warming dish under a light. Think buffet fries. And one would think that the cost of the ketchup comes out of the servers tips. Call it a teaspoon of ketchup. In total bill was $57. App, two burgers and a beer. Do not come here. Let this place go way. Maybe it will get replaced by a restaurant that actually strives for quality, cleanliness and great service. read more

The manager (apparently no longer working there) was kind enough to reach out via Yelp message and apologize for the quality of the food the last time I ordered from them. I decided to give this place a second chance, but dined-in at the restaurant this time. I ordered the bone marrow burger again, but this time with the honey cinnamon sweet potato fries. The burger was perfectly cooked and the sweet potato fries were much better than the regular fries + truffle sauce. The bun was still a bit soggy but not to the point where the bun was ripping. They did forget the ranch I asked for and asked me if I still wanted it like 10-15 minutes later, but I told them that they didn't have to worry about it since I was almost done with my meal. I do wish they wouldn't sit people so close to one another though (b/c you know.. covid). I asked to be seated in the front where it was completely empty with no customers but the manager said that they would prefer not to sit people there. Not too sure why, but I ended up getting a seat outdoors instead. Overall, I really enjoyed my lunch and am glad that I gave them another try! We ordered our food. First is the appetizer called Truffle Cheese Fries. Oh my, the dipping sauce that came with it was really good. Then we tried different sampler of mimosas which is known as mimosa flight. It came with four flavors. The OJ, Pine, Ginger and Grape Fruit. Well, that I can pass. I'm not too crazy about tart/sour taste drink. I'm more on the sweeter side. Then we ordered our main meal. My daughter had a burger and I had a grilled salmon. I was content with the salmon. We recently went to Eureka and the experience was wonderful! We had the yummy Baja Fish Taco and Spicy Chicken Sandwich, which paired well with the DIPA and a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon. The Spicy Chicken Sandwich was the perfect balance of spicy with a touch of tangy slaw. But, I can't wait to talk about the Brown Sugar and Honey Sweet Potato Fries! They honestly tasted like a churro. They were cooked perfectly with a nice sweet crisp! I would recommend for a nice date or a catch up with friends. First time to Eureka! And it won't be the last. We had a wonderful lunch here. Really cool, inviting atmosphere. It would be a great place to sit at the bar and watch a game. They have widely varied beer menu as well as a full bar. We came on a Sunday and they had Bloody Mary and mimosa specials. We ordered one of each and they were both delicious. We started with the truffle fries and the Mac and cheese bites and my goodness were they good. I can highly recommend both! We all had various burgers that were cooked exactly as ordered and came out hot and delicious. The quality of the beef they use is clearly top notch. Our server was lovely and efficient which made for a great experience. This is well worth trying and I know that we will be back to sample some of the other menu items. read more

I've been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile but was never close enough (come to Dublin/San Ramon next!!). We came in for a late lunch. The restaurant is really welcoming with big open doors that let in the beautiful day. Every person we spoke to was so welcoming and nice and obviously proud of their workplace, explaining that everything is craft made and custmizable. We started with the macaroni and cheese balls and you haven't had this dish until you've had it here. They are so light and creamy with a tiny bit of heat. We also enjoyed the poke stack which had black rice and a delicious sesame dressing. We ordered the cowboy burgers and customized both, one with a bison patty, one with added bone marrow butter. They were incredibly juicy and delicious (and huge) with crispy fries that were great in their own right. Service was outstanding. Absolutely would go out of my way to come back! read more

We were regular customers at Eureka until today, the fish and chips are regularly a large order with 3 large pieces of Battered Cod but now they are four measly little pieces of what they said was mahi-mahi. About 1" x 3". We asked and they said they change the menu. This should be posted or it should be brought to the consumers attention upon order. First time back in a couple years. Arrived around 6:15 and seated right away but got the last available table. There have both indoor and outdoor seating. Happy hour with drinks and apps had just ended at 6 but started back up at 9-closing. We started off with the Brussels which were really good with the glaze they used. Perfect portion for two people, but anymore than two would have needed two servings. I ordered the wild child cocktail and although it was served in a tiny class it was so delicious. I ripped up the mint leaves and stirred it in. So refreshing. For dinner my boyfriend had the spicy chicken sandwich and I had the Fresno fig burger. I absolutely loved the Fresno fig burger. I asked for it medium well and it came out cooked exactly medium well. The goat cheese and fig spread was great with the burger and arugula. I typically don't like burgers but would definitely order this again! No complaints with the crispy chicken sandwich either. Lastly, their fries are really good! Great food and drinks both times we've been here. Even the picky kids are happy. The Fresno fig burger and ahi tuna stack are my favorites, but everything I have tasted has been great too. Needless to say, I am glad I gave Eureka a second chance as I had a much better experience this time around! Although I did not have a full meal with an entrée, I was beyond satisfied with just my brew and shareable appetizers from their Hoppy Hour Menu. My party and I ordered multiple rounds of their Truffled Cheese Fries (truffle salt, parmesan, green onion & white truffle cheese sauce), Mac N' Cheese Balls (beer cheese sauce, Fresno chiles, chives & parmesan), Falafel Bites (Tzatziki, feta, pickled red onions, dill, cilantro & red chimichurri), Lollipop Corn Dogs (Polish sausage, sweet corn batter & spicy porter mustard), and Deviled Eggs. I enjoyed their Mac N' Cheese Balls and Falafel Bites the best. Both had a little kick to it, which was great and paired well with my beer. Additionally, I appreciate their selection of rotating taps, as well as wine, bourbon, and whiskey. We were seated outside at the patio and it was perfect for our large group. Atmosphere was laid-back, and service was friendly. Parking was difficult as Eureka is located in a plaza with a number of other busy business, but once you make a few laps around you should be able to find some spots. It's my favorite and never disappoints. Today we also tried the Mac and cheese balls. What a crispy cheesy ball of goodness the only thing that doesn't make sense, and I don't know why I didn't figure it out before. The burger comes with signature fries that are $6 separately on the menu. The sweet potato fries on the side menu are $7, so another dollar. But if you upgrade signature fries to sweet potato fries with your burger, it's $3 more. Food for thought. read more

This has been one of my go-to spots for dining in Concord for some time now. Whenever other places are crowded, there is almost always a seat available at Eureka! Which I am certain is not because people don't like the food. I suspect it is 2 parts the location, which is just out of the way if you are at the Veranda, and a bit hard to really find unless you already know it is there, and 1 part the fact that the food here is a bit expensive. But in my opinion, it is well worth it. The burgers here are fantastic. Really delicious. But as I am trying to shed the winter weight, I have instead taken to ordering the fish and chips. I would prefer bigger fries with fish and chips, something more akin to steak fries, but I won't complain. The breading on the fish is also a little bit heavy and unconventional. But the fish was delicious and juicy, and the dipping sauce was spot on. A really tasty meal if you're looking for something a bit more friendly to your waist than one of their burgers. But the real star here, IMO, is the beer. They have such a fantastic selection of local craft brews that you are sure to find something you love. Shout out specifically to having Henhouse, Alvarado Street, and Knee Deep all on draft. Tough to go wrong with a selection like that. As I said, the prices here can be a bit high. But this area isn't cheap in general. Yardhouse is almost exactly the same, just with a club-like vibe that I personally don't dig. I like the feel of Eureka! I can sit at the bar and enjoy whatever is on the TV without too much distraction in the way of noise or overcrowding. The service here is also really great, as my servers are always really knowledgeable about the beers/whiskeys that are available. Check it out! read more

Food was not all that. It's good but not $96 worth good. Their mac and cheese balls are a bit plain and the cheese is overly cheesy with a lack of flavor. Their wings are good but have a lot of vinegar. My friend ordered their salmon caesar salad and thought it was tad plan, needed more seasoning. Personally, I ordered their burger (the first one) so boring I forgot the name of it. You could probably make it at home but I guess it was okay. I added bacon on it but the bacon was kinda salty. My other friend ordered their grilled chicken nachos. The cheese was dry and hard, was giving microwaved. My friend didn't like them. The environment was mellow. I don't know whose playlist was on, but the music was all depressing. Let's not even talk about how their toilets weren't flushing. OK, OK, OK, OKAAAYYY! Honestly, for their menu to be as small as it is, it PACKS A LOT! You look at it and think, REALLY just a one side menu?! - LOL. Brought my husband here for both of our first time and let me tell you, HE CRAVES for this place at least 1-2 times a week. I know not great to be eating out like that, but this place is his guilty pleasure. The setting of this place is super mellow and such a great date and a family vibe all around. Everything we ate here was PERFECT! And when I say 'perfect' I literally mean, my burger was cooked perfectly to a medium and my husbands ribs were falling off the bone and melts like butter in your mouth. Even their drinks are literally a bomb combination with their foods; which I had the wild child which is like a fruity, but spicy drink and the charcoal lemonade was a perfect pair with his ribs. Honestly, if you're ever going to complain about this place, its NOT VALID - LOL! Only because the customer services is AWESOME, the wait on your food is SUPER FAST and getting anyone attention to get dessert is an EASY eye to eye contact. This place is SOLID! The steak salad is my go-to. It's tasty, it's fairly healthy, it's got crispy onions, a really nice dressing, and yummy steak! The Cowboy is my favorite burger, but my husband likes the Double Smash. The Wings with Firecracker sauce or the Cauliflower Bites are my favorite starters. Also, this place is open late unlike a lot of restaurants in the area, AND if you go later than 9 there's a happy hour deal! Tuesdays are half off wine, so that's obviously my favorite day to go.
