Outdoor fire lounge area

I went to Eureka! for the first time the other night with one mission: a sweet treat with family. The vibe was very chill for a Monday night. Just a few people at the bar watching the game and the restaurant has a cozy feel with the low lighting and warm wood interior. I could see out to the outdoor fireplace and kept thinking that would be such a cute date vibe. Just drinks by the fire where it's quiet enough to actually hear each other talk. I thought it was interesting that the waitress brought out a kids snack plate with carrots and oranges. I've never seen that before. Our server, Malia, was nice and attentive overall. For dessert we ordered the Bourbon Barrel Cake and the Turtle Pie à la mode. The Barrel Cake wasn't too sweet and the flavor was good, but the texture was a little grainy. The turtle pie was very sweet, but my son loved it so clearly it did its job. Overall it was a good little dessert stop. Next time I might come back and actually try the food.

Atmosphere was great -- stayed for a while catching up with friends. I ordered the fish tacos; the seasoning was good, but the fish didn't hold together well and had a bit of a fishy aftertaste. However, their burger selection definitely looked enticing.

Eureka! - Cerritos We come here often for takeout and usually order the same thing--the chili mango wings--which we've enjoyed in the past. This visit was completely different, and frankly, very concerning. The wings came out burned, dry, and overcooked, with little to no sauce. I brought it to our server's attention--the only positive part of the experience was his friendliness--but when it came to addressing the issue, it missed the mark. At most places, staff are quick to correct a problem. In this case, he seemed uncomfortable and only brought out extra sauce. I told him it helped, but I was not happy with the food. Honestly, I picked up on a certain vibe and didn't feel comfortable pushing the issue further. I didn't want to be labeled as a "problem guest," especially when some people assume complaints are just attempts to get something for free. So I let it go at the time. That turned out to be a mistake. A second order of wings and fries came out the same way--overcooked chicken and cold, overdone fries--even after I specifically asked that the food not be overcooked. Later, I found out my daughters' meals were also not right. The grilled cheese was overdone, and the hamburger was dry and overcooked as well. Had I known at the time that all of the food was coming out this way, I absolutely would have addressed it more directly. At that point, it was no longer a coincidence. Every single item we received was consistently burned, dry, or poorly prepared. This was not a matter of "bad food." This felt like something else entirely. I rarely complain and typically accept things as they come, but this experience crossed a line. When multiple dishes across the table are all handled this poorly, repeatedly, it raises serious concern about intent, not just execution. Patrons should pay close attention--not just to the quality of the food, but to the treatment behind it. Not every environment is as welcoming as it may appear, and sometimes the message is sent through the food itself. To make matters worse, I left with a stomach ache, which only added to the discomfort of the entire experience. The lighting is also extremely dim, making it difficult to even see the condition of your food clearly. This experience did not feel accidental--it felt targeted. At this point, it raises the question of whether situations like this should be looked into more closely. Now that I know they did this to my kids after the fact I'm FUMING. We will not be returning.

If you are looking for a good selection of beers, try this place. IPAs are pretty good. Place isn't crowded even on a weekend. They have an enclosed patio with heater and fire pit.

Tried this place out in the City of Cerritos CA. Place is modern and somewhat fancy. The ambiance was warm with great décor. We made our order for a Party of 6. Mostly hamburgers and salads. The food was good, but the price doesn't match up with the burger. The burger I ordered was $21 plus, comes with small fries and optional to upgrade for sweet potato fries, onion rings etc for an additional $3 more. The burger was small as well as the fries. I felt cheated paying for this type of meal. The service could of been a better. Our waitress would come and go, disappearing 15-20 mins at a time. Our total stay was close to 2hrs. Overall, it's an okay place for drinks but not so much for the food. They need to work on their service. Maybe I will give it another try in the future. This experience was just Meh.

Great food, good vibes! When I walked into this place, I was greeted with somewhat of an attitude, though I understand as I went with a little under than an hour left before closing. I ordered a burger, fries, Coke Zero, some lettuce wraps and wings. All great, especially the lettuce wraps highly recommend. I will be back here for sure as the person who took my order was on top of it when refilling my Coke Zero, didn't have to ask. Well deserved tip.

Have only come here around happy hour times. Great place with great food and love the vibe. We like sitting outside near the fire place in the summer time. Service has always been great.

Gotta love a good lunch spot! Quick and easy and not heavy at all! Service was good . Not too much of a wait time. Ambiance is like your typical lunch bar spot. Not too loud but you can hear some good laughs and talks around you.

July 29, 2025 | Cerritos | What an amazing find via Yelp! Beautiful atmosphere, delicious food, and drinks, along with time to spare before seeing a movie! Score! Seared Salmon: Seasoned to perfection, tender, and just downright delicious! Potato Fingerlings: Beyond delicious and I highly recommend! Every single bite was full of flavor! These potatoes are something special! Green Beans: Charred perfection, and really tasty! They definitely know how to make green beans extra tasty! Surprise: Wow! It also happened to be Trivia/Game Night! You simply scan the card at your table to participate, so cool! Really cool crowd here as well! Plus, the restaurant is surrounded by a number of other restaurants and stores to go shopping, including plenty of free parking shared by all! Strawberry Lychee Martini: The moment I saw lychee, knew I had to try it & glad I did! Decor: Lots beautiful greenery & wooden surroundings! Customer Service: Friendly, attentive & helpful with the menu! Overall: Yes, please! Plus, the name Eureka! is super cute! I enjoyed every single bite of my meal and I will happily return!

I don't usually leave negative reviews, but the service we received today was very disappointing. Our waiter, Quincey seemed bothered every time we asked for something. When we first arrived, we requested water and had to remind her about it. When she eventually brought it, she set the glasses down without saying anything or making eye contact. Throughout the meal, she continued to act the sam. When I asked for ketchup and later for a straw, she seemed annoyed and again dropped the items off without saying anything. It made us feel uncomfortable asking for even basic things. As for the food, I ordered the wings well done, but they came out soggy and heavily breaded. I understand that breading is a preference, and I should have asked but the texture was not what I expected. When our food arrived, we were also not given utensils or napkins so I had to get up and grab them from a nearby table. This has typically been one of our go to places when the kids want burgers. We've always liked the relaxed atmosphere where we can enjoy burgers and beer while the kids have a good time. Unfortunately today's experience completely changed that for us. I ended up sending the wings back which is something I have never done because it's embarrassing but between the food and the service, I felt it was necessary. My husband also ordered the jalapeño burger which came without jalapeños, but he chose not to say anything because of how unapproachable the service felt. Overall, we left very upset . It's sad because we've enjoyed coming here in the past, but after today, we're not sure we'll be returning.

I went here with my family for my birthday, and I have tried the Irvine location before. Everyone liked what they ordered, myself included! The firecracker wings and truffle cheese fries were really good. There were only 2 things I wasn't the biggest fan of but neither deters me from wanting to return. My fries with my Steak Frites weren't fresh and I could tell they'd been sitting out for a bit before coming out to me. The lights were also too dim in the restaurant for my liking. It made it difficult to see the menu, and I don't like eating in the dark.

Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich with Onion Rings

We decided to dine out on a Friday evening. After a minute trying to figure out where to go, we landed on Eureka. The cocktails of choice the Pineapple Tequila Sour and the Wild Child. Both where on point! For starters we had the Sticky Pork Belly Bites. They were cooked well, and well seasoned. The only drawback, the portion is way to small.too be so good. I think they should either cut larger bites or give more pieces. Side note.. add more of the Fresno chile per order. For the meal we chose the Ribeye Philly Cheesesteak with the cheesy truffle fries, and the Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich. Ribeye Philly Cheesesteak: Very flavorful, the bread was fresh, soft with a nice chew. The meat was tender, moist and cooked perfectly. But a side note, there very stingy with the meat. The next time, I'd ask to double the meat. The fries.... cooked well, but just ok. I'd prefer real truffle over truffle seasoning in a sauce. Spicy Fried Chicken Sandwich: My wife ordered the spicy fried chicken sandwich and added bacon for an additional cost, and substitutd onion rings for the fries.. The flavors of the sandwich were balanced, though it could have been a bit spicier for her tastes. Overall, she enjoyed the sandwich. The onion rings were perfect. Lightly battered, crispy, and sweet. The location was good, with a chill atmosphere and the customer service was excellent. Shout out to our server, Quincy.

One visit we waited over 40 minutes without being acknowledged, another time our order came out wrong, and another time the food arrived cold like it had been sitting for quite a while. Because of that, I honestly did not want to come back tonight. But I was craving a good steak, and after my husband suggested giving 908 another try, I reluctantly agreed. I noticed the filet mignon on the menu paired with broccolini and decided to go for it. From the moment we walked in, the experience felt completely different. The hostess was warm and welcoming and seated us immediately. A young man came over right away with waters and took our drink order, which already surprised us in the best way. Then Alex S came to our table, and he truly made the night exceptional. He was friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful in making sure my order was exactly how I wanted it. I mentioned that I didn't want a large piece of butter melting over the steak, and he happily accommodated that request. He even checked on the exact ounce size of the filet for me, which I appreciated. We ordered the Brussels sprouts appetizer, and honestly, they were the best Brussels sprouts we've ever had. Perfectly cooked, not drowning in sauce, and absolutely packed with flavor. My 8 oz filet mignon was cooked perfectly medium rare, exactly as ordered. The broccolini was crisp, fresh, and not overly oily. Everything tasted thoughtful, balanced, and worth every dollar. Most importantly, Alex S delivered spectacular service from start to finish. We were genuinely shocked to learn this was his first night shift because he handled the dining room with professionalism, warmth, and confidence far beyond what we expected. Thank you, Alex S, for completely changing our impression of 908. Tonight's experience was excellent, and for the first time, we are actually excited to come back. Thanks again, Jed Dornoff

Aragon House Cafe is located on the corner of Clark Ave and Rose St, across the street from the liquor store. It's a small location and can be easy to miss. They have a small lot behind them of about 3-6 spots so you may need to grab street parking. Walking up to the cafe, they have an open window for to-go orders and the front door right next to it. As I mentioned, it's small; with about 6-8 tables. We decided to go on a Sunday around 10:15am (they have Yelp Reservations but it was empty at the time we arrived). There is a single use gender neutral restroom near the back as well. Marisol, helped us as well as the rest of the tables. The space began to fill which I told her is always a good sign. We started off with two cafe de olla, which if you aren't familiar is Mexican coffee and if available get over plain black coffee. It was the right amount of sweetness and fresh. For food, we wanted something sweet and an egg dish and we couldn't decide. I mentioned all the pancake flavors looked good and Marisol said that they were able to do different flavors instead of one flavor for a stack so we decided with the Matcha and Coffee pancake. For our savory dish we went with their Chilaquiles and added chicken. The pancakes were delicious. They had height to them and weren't dense, but a nice fluffiness. Both served with fresh whipped cream, and one with a matcha sauce, the other a coffee saucse, and berries. The matcha pancake was light and had a mild matcha flavor, we added a little syrup to it but it was so good. My favorite was the coffee pancake; it had pronounced coffee flavor throughout, and the sauce made it even better, no syrup needed. The Chilauiles were delicious as well, we got our eggs scrambled so our was topped with it. The chips were tossed in a spicy red sauce but had their crispiness intact, chicken was cubed and not dry, the eggs were scrambled just right as well. We polished that plate. The food here was amazing, and Marisol was a delight in serving us. Check this out if you're ever in the Bellflower area. The food items we got were amazing, but I imagine, as Marisol mentioned to us, all of their food items are good. Will def be back!

At a cafe trying to have a more elevated brunch vibe, that just felt cheap and disappointing. I can't wait to come back and try more items on the menu. The guy at the counter was super friendly and helpful. I was a little hesitant about the spice level, but he reassured me I'd like it -- and he was absolutely right. Plenty of seating both inside and outside, with a relaxed, casual dining vibe. Definitely looking forward to my next visit!

For the third consecutive year, I've been put into a position where I've had to organize a catered…read morelunch for a group of 10 to 20 people at work. Not wanting to choose one of the two eateries I chose each of the past two years, I went with The Stand to see if I can give them the 4th star that I've been trying to give them for the past year or two. The final verdict? No, unfortunately. This year, I was in a rather unique situation where I also had the option to double my party size, and The Stand had catering packages that would feed both party sizes: The Feast for 10 to 20 people, and The Big Feast for 20 to 40 people. But don't think The Big Feast is twice the size of The Feast; rather, the only difference is an additional platter of 20 half sandwiches/wraps. Otherwise, both will have a platter of 20 half sandwiches/wraps, a large gourmet salad, a large side, and a cookie/brownie platter. After much deliberation, I went with The Feast with Meyer Lemon Broccolini and a Sidekick of Chinese Chicken Chop Salad with Chips & Guac. I chose all this to avoid the need for flameless heating kits since I wasn't sure how they'd work. I was drafting an email to the catering team to add some supplementary instructions I overlooked initially, but after the FIRST15 to 20 minutes following submission of my order, Sydney from the Catering team gave me a call to ask for clarification on some details based on my email communication. Really appreciate how punctual she was at this, and she was happy enough to send out an updated invoice. However, I learned from Sydney that the Meyer Lemon Broccolini would need a flameless heating kit even though the catering website did not mention that. In fact, during my email communication prior to placing my order, I pointed out that the Meyer Lemon Broccolini and Red Ginger Green Beans weren't listed as vegetarian despite being vegetables, and they confirmed they were indeed vegetarian, but not vegan. I noticed these oversights were immediately addressed after I brought them to their attention. However, their website still indicates their cookies are vegan when they are not; I'm not going to bother with another email at this point lol. I had given them two weeks' notice for my order, knowing that the catering team can change it on their end. I didn't want just one flameless heating kit, so I decided to switch out the Chips & Guac for the Mac & Cheese, which is about $13 more. I arrived about 10 minutes before my scheduled pickup time, and I saw my catering order out in the open on a table where any customer could just grab it and go. Luckily, there were only a few customers inside, and when I stopped by my order, Kim came out to greet me. We recognized each other even 8 to 9 months after those technical difficulties spelled out in my last review update. I asked her to review my order with me before leaving, but when she said "Chips & Guac", the abstract record in my mind came to a screeching halt. I asked to see the invoice, and it was the older version from before I made the switch. I later found out they had printed my invoice too early even though their catering team said I could decide as late as the day before. Luckily, Kim checked the kitchen and needed only about 5 more minutes for the side of mac & cheese to be ready. She also let me keep the chips & guac even though she initially said she could swap it out, so that was nice at least. I also appreciate how they waited until my arrival to make a custom grilled cheese sandwich for my vegetarian guest, who enjoyed said sandwich. I also asked to put that guest's name on the box so I could tell easily. However, my abstract record cacophonously halted again when Kim asked me to pull up to the front door so they could load my order into my car. I had parked close by and previously requested for at least one employee to help me carry my order to my car. Also, I didn't want to block the right lane of the frontage road through the town center, so Kim and a team member helped carry the order to my car. My guests enjoyed the food for the most part, and I used this opportunity to invite them to visit The Stand with their family/friends on their own time (and dime lol). My order included an abundance of sauces and dressings, and I also appreciate how there were label stickers on each half sandwich/wrap in the platter. However, I would highly recommend a different means of labeling these sandwiches/wraps. As an example, I tried to grab a Chimichurri Steak Wrap only to find out it was actually a Falafel Wrap, which was the only vegetarian option in the platter. Good thing I got my vegetarian guest that grilled cheese sandwich! Lastly, if you've managed to make it to the end of this review, I'll let you know there's a discount code for customers placing a catering order for the first time. You actually read it in this review somewhere. Missed it? Sorry, I'm not giving it out like that. You'll have to re-read the review :)
