I'm surprised I have never left a review for Eureka! I have been here plenty of times over the years: for happy hour with coworkers, dinners with friends, date nights with my boyfriend, and even just to grab drinks. I love their margaritas! The food and drinks have always been consistently good, and the service has never disappointed. On one recent visit, my coworker and I went to Eureka, and I fell in love with the fried pickles! That is something I normally don't ever order but I wanted to try something different. They were so good that my boyfriend and I came back a few days later just to order two baskets before heading home! Like I mentioned previously, I never had a bad experience here. The food is consistently good, the drinks are even better, and the service is always on point. Eureka is definitely one of my go-to spots, and I will absolutely keep coming back.
We came here with a medium-large group and kind of landed here due to the long wait at another closeby restaurant. Luckily, it was Happy Hour, so the timing was good! I started with an Old Fashioned drink, which was solid - strong enough to pack a little punch but still taste good. We ordered a few appetizers - the Korean Beef Frachos were especially good and the Brussel sprouts were very solid. With so many appetizers, I went with a Caesar salad and two soft tacos (shrimp and fish). The Caesar salad was good and healthy sized, so I could share with others. It was a typical, but good, Caesar which didn't have anything fancy about it (no anchovies, egg yolk, etc), but nothing was really lacking either. Both soft/street tacos were good, respectable in size and very tasty. Other people in our party got burgers, goat cheese salad, chicken sandwiches, and everyone seemed very happy with their meals. Service was friendly and casual. Our server was the one who really recommenced the Frachos, which was a great call. I've been to Eurekas before and always been satisfied. I'd probably rate the typical location a 4-star experience, but this one seemed extra friendly and the food I enjoyed more than I expected, so a solid 5 star experience in my book.
Thanks to the GM for reaching out after my last review and inviting me back to give Eureka another try. I'm glad I did because this experience was so much better than the first. If you read my original review, you know the service was terrible. This time, though, Jorge took great care of us. He checked on us often, made sure we had everything we needed, and was friendly from start to finish. That's the kind of service I was hoping for the first time around. The food was much better too, especially the fries! Y'all know they were trash in my first review. This time they were hot and crispy. I ordered the Fresno Fig Burger with fig marmalade, goat cheese, bacon, tomato, red onion, arugula, and spicy porter mustard. Whew... that burger was good! The combination of sweet and savory flavors just worked. My husband and I ended the meal by sharing the Bourbon Barrel Cake with candied pecans, bourbon caramel, and vanilla bean ice cream. Listen, don't leave without ordering it. It was absolutely delicious.
Just making my timely updated review. The lights were still dimmed, which brought a great ambiance to the dinner experience. It was very relaxed and just had chill vibes. The evening started off strong, as we stopped by during Hoppy Hour (around 9ish). There wasn't a wait, and it wasn't too busy, so we were seated right away. The front staff was nice and polite. She gave us the option of either a tall round table or a shorter rectangular table. We of course, opted for the slightly shorter (height-wise) rectangular table. Once we were seated, we were given the menu, and the waitress told us that we would be right with us. She stopped by to ask about drinks, and we opted for water. She dropped off water and came back with perfect timing because by then we were ready to order. I also love the simplicity of the menu. There really aren't too many options where you feel overwhelmed, but there are still enough choices to pick from. Shout out to the pastrami quesadilla, I didn't realize it had been swapped for a new menu item until I asked about it this time around, but I'll be waiting for its comeback! We ordered a few items: the mac and cheese balls, the Wagyu bone marrow burger with truffle fries, and a double smash burger with ribbed finger potatoes. We had to get the mac and cheese balls since it was Hoppy Hour! I also didn't realize that on Wednesdays, the double smash burgers are half off. I'll definitely remember that for next time. After we ordered, the food came out quicker than I expected. It was a nice surprise. I think the first item came out about 10 minutes after our initial order. The mac and cheese balls came out hot, which was great. The breading made them super crispy and gave a nice crunch that balanced really well with the softer, chewier mac and cheese inside. I was glad the inside wasn't too runny since that would have made it like lava! I didn't see a cheese pull this time, but next time I'll try again to see if I can catch one. It was a great start to the meal. The burgers came out shortly after we finished the mac and cheese balls. I totally forgot that the truffle fries came with sauce. I should have asked for the sauce on the side, but it wasn't a problem that it was added on top of the fries. It just made them get soggy a bit faster, but that's no problem; it just means I've got to work faster! The burger was good and came out super juicy. I asked for it medium, and it looked about medium, so no complaints here! I never realized before, but the bread was so fluffy... it was a super pillowy bun with a nice bounce to it. It definitely helped balance out the meatiness of the patty. The hint of tomato gave it a nice, refreshing bite and really helped cut through the richness of the meat. The onions also added a nice sweetness to the burger, which was appreciated. I also snuck a bite of the ribbed potatoes, and they were good as well. They were a bit crispy on the outside and nice and soft on the inside, with just a touch of saltiness. I also stole a pickle from the double smash and realized I probably should have asked for pickles on my burger, but I'll remember that for my next visit!
I came back for the Bacon-Jalapeño Jam Burger. To my pleasant surprise, it was during Hoppy Hour (3-6 PM, 9-close daily). Daisy did a phenomenal job with my order while being very friendly & attentive. Kinda reminds me of Finney's and I need to try the Bison burger!
Had an okay experience! The wait was long, our server was great, and the food was okay We came on a Sunday a little before 6pm with a party of 4. My friend got there early to put our name on the list. The restaurant appeared empty as there were lots of open seats/tables but it took us 40 minutes to get seated. The hosts were apologetic and we chalked it up to the fact that they were potentially understaffed. But it was definitely a bit frustrating to wait 40 minutes From there, the experience was pretty seamless. The service was generally good! My husband and I ordered Brussels sprouts, truffle fries, and a Bacon Jalapeno Jam Burger. Food was pretty standard! Good but nothing to write home about. The burger patty was cooked well, but the bun was a bit dry/stale. Brussels sprouts were good and the truffle fries were probably the tastiest thing we had. Overall, a mid experience!
Tried out the umami burger, with mushrooms and pickled onions, it was pretty solid! Unfortunately, the Fresno fig came out cold and the fries were overcooked/too hard. Almost like both were just left out for 30 minutes before they were put on the table. Service was fantastic, always someone coming to check on us every 15 or so minutes! Love this place for its outdoor seating, it makes for a very relaxing eating environment.
Our group of six came here for an early dinner on a Friday. We wanted to go to BJ's originally, but there was a 45+ min wait. Some of us had been to different Eureka! locations in Northern California and suggested to check this one, which was just across the parking lot from BJ's, out. I was glad we did. Not only was there no wait, they had a very chill covered outdoor patio as well. Their indoor area had more of a sports bar feel, which was cool, too. Staff were super friendly; our server told us about their loyalty program, and gave us some great recommendations on food and drinks. We're early enough to order quite a few things off the "Hoppy Hour" menu. I had the Wild Child cocktail, which had a pretty color, and was quite yummy. We shared 3 appetizers: Truffle Cheese Fries, Crispy Glazed Brussel Sprouts, Korean Beef Frachos. All 3 were delicious, and our favorite was the beef frachos, which was like an upgraded nachos, with very flavorful/tender ribeye steak pieces and mildly spicy seasonings with cheese over crispy potato wedges. It's truly the bomb! For my entree, I had the Al Pastor Fish Taco and the Blackened Shrimp Taco. Both were scrumptious, especially the shrimp one. My husband gave me some of his Caesar Salad, which was fresh and quite good. My sister-in-law shared some of her Napa Chicken Sandwich with me; it was delightful. Our daughter had the Goat Cheese Citrus Salad with added chicken and no pecans. She enjoyed it but said the amount of chicken she got wasn't worth the additional charge. Overall, we all enjoyed our food and had a great time. With the happy hour deals, I thought their prices were very reasonable. Would definitely consider coming here again for our next gathering.
Great food, good vibes! When I walked into this place, I was greeted with somewhat of an attitude, though I understand as I went with a little under than an hour left before closing. I ordered a burger, fries, Coke Zero, some lettuce wraps and wings. All great, especially the lettuce wraps highly recommend. I will be back here for sure as the person who took my order was on top of it when refilling my Coke Zero, didn't have to ask. Well deserved tip.
I went to Eureka! for the first time the other night with one mission: a sweet treat with family. The vibe was very chill for a Monday night. Just a few people at the bar watching the game and the restaurant has a cozy feel with the low lighting and warm wood interior. I could see out to the outdoor fireplace and kept thinking that would be such a cute date vibe. Just drinks by the fire where it's quiet enough to actually hear each other talk. I thought it was interesting that the waitress brought out a kids snack plate with carrots and oranges. I've never seen that before. Our server, Malia, was nice and attentive overall. For dessert we ordered the Bourbon Barrel Cake and the Turtle Pie à la mode. The Barrel Cake wasn't too sweet and the flavor was good, but the texture was a little grainy. The turtle pie was very sweet, but my son loved it so clearly it did its job. Overall it was a good little dessert stop. Next time I might come back and actually try the food.
Great food and drinks. Stopped in for new $13 lunch specials. Also joined the loyalty club and got $2 off a seasonal beer. Service was fast, food delicious.
Tried this place out in the City of Cerritos CA. Place is modern and somewhat fancy. The ambiance was warm with great décor. We made our order for a Party of 6. Mostly hamburgers and salads. The food was good, but the price doesn't match up with the burger. The burger I ordered was $21 plus, comes with small fries and optional to upgrade for sweet potato fries, onion rings etc for an additional $3 more. The burger was small as well as the fries. I felt cheated paying for this type of meal. The service could of been a better. Our waitress would come and go, disappearing 15-20 mins at a time. Our total stay was close to 2hrs. Overall, it's an okay place for drinks but not so much for the food. They need to work on their service. Maybe I will give it another try in the future. This experience was just Meh.
Came to enjoy different types of burgers and loved my experience . Service was friendly and the ambience was very chill. I will definitely return to try more
Decent gourmet burger and primarily whiskey spot near the Los Cerritos mall with cute patio seating. I got the dry-aged bone marrow burger. Kinda disappointed that it's smaller than their other burgers and it wasn't as flavorful as I thought it would be. The patty though was very tender and juicy, and the strong notes from the horseradish mustard aioli was a good compliment. I upgraded my fries to the truffle cheese fries and I would do that again in a heartbeat. Great savory flavor and rich cheese on crispy fries. Can't beat that! I tried the Morning, Peaches cocktail which is a bourbon cocktail with hints of coffee, peach, and vanilla. Very tasty and refreshing! read more

I've been to Eureka! a few times for happy hour and always had a great experience. I finally went in to try their regular menu and my only regret was waiting all this time. I already can't wait for my next experience. I immediately was seated despite the fact that it was Dinner Hour and was greeted with a kind host and live guitarist. The volume was loud enough to enjoy the music but not too loud that I couldn't have a conversation at my table. I ordered quite a few items and I can't place my favorite. The Truffle Cheese Fries & Mac N' Cheese Balls started the party and already set the bar high. I personally liked dipping the Mac balls into the cheese sauce that came with the fries! My main course was the Protein Bowl. I decided to go with tofu and had no disappointments. The crunch was delicious without the tofu being dried out. The sauce was something I couldn't place with the herbs but even though it doesn't seem like much, it tied in all of the flavors perfectly without needing more or being overwhelming. My partner ordered the Napa Chicken Sandwich. I expected a slightly dry, thin little sandwich but what came was enough to share, but of course he didn't except for a bite. It was too delicious! We finished the meal off with a Whiskey Flight and a beautiful sunset. I'll definitely be returning to this location for more good bites! read more

I, uh, don't have much to write about this place. Been here a couple times and was seated quickly (small and large party). Outside seating is good. Inside seating is good. Service is good as well. Food- not bad. Not great, but standard pub-ish fare (vegetarian review). Fries are good, beet burger is not bad, cauliflower is ok. Everything- ok. Sorry- that's about it for my take. No other intrigue or details to share. Parking was not too bad. read more

Hello Athena!…
So corporate sent me a gift card to try again, went to a different location but still underwhelmed. Sunday night at 4:55 & place was empty. We had 3 different servers but I get it. Double smash burger on a Parmesan crusted bun was not Parmesan crusted at all, seemed like a regular bun. When it was brought back to the kitchen to check we were told the Parmesan falls off...take a look at my picture. Skimpy on the fries & they were lukewarm. The steak salad was good however. Someone in management stopped by & we told him about the meal. He comped us a dessert which was nice but don't think I need to go back to any Eureka. read more

-Good drinks -Overpriced for underwelming food -Inconsistent service experience -Good atmosphere Came here on a Saturday after some holiday walking and shopping with a friend. We chose outside dining, which was heated nicely, and were seated almost immediately. First we put in our order for drinks, then food. Drinks: Campfire! Gingerbread Man Old Fashioned Although the Gingerbread Man Old Fashioned was good, it literally had a gingerbread man shaped ice cube, I overwhelmingly recommend The Campfire! The Campfire! was brought to our table in a custom bottle filled with smoke and poured into a glass. During this presentation, the people sitting next to us were wowed and decided to order the same. Sadly when there's arrived, the bottle was just placed on the table and wasn't given the same flashy presentation. Food: Wings Crispy Veggie Beet Burger New York Strip Streak Wings weren't bad but not memorable. New York Strip Steak came to my table pre cut which I very much dislike. On top of that, it looked more shredded than sliced. The flavor wasnt bad but again not memorable and serving size was to small. Overall not a bad experience for my first time but it felt very inconsistent. I would not recommend this chain over any other. read more

We have been here a handful of times and always enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food. This visit the service and food lacked, unfortunately. Not sure if our server was newer. It felt like it with him having to check the specials, then relay them to us and we had to ask him for things vs him asking us-The drinks we ordered and water. I have ordered the tacos before and LOVED them! This time, there was more breading than fish. I was bummed but the fries and our drinks (Wild Child and red blend wine) were perfect. My fiancés beet burger was just as great as he remembered so he was pleased. Although it was a Sunday football night, it really wasn't packed so another reason we thought it was just an off night. Again, every other time was good all around. Would we return, yes! We love the outside area, TVs with bar and food. read more
My sister and I came on a sister date here on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated in the outdoor patio area which I loved due to all the plants, the lighting and the heaters! The interior was also notably clean with a cool atmosphere. We ordered drinks, an appetizer, and two meals. I had a mezcal cocktail (10/10), the spinach dip (10/10) and the fig burger (another 10/10). All had great flavor and presentation. We had a great time here and look forward to returning to try some other dishes. *i've had the sweet potato cinnamon fries on other occasions, and they are delicious. read more

Drinks were delicious, per usual. Service was fantastic, per usual. The ONLY thing is that the wings were the smallest wings I've ever seen. I asked the bartender how many wings come in the order, to which he responded "seven." Cool. Little over $2/wing. That's fine. Now they were delicious. I love any kind of dry rub... , but I ate them in five minutes. I wasn't even that hungry, there was just so little meat on them. Now 90% of the time, I'm going to Eureka over BJ's despite that dry rub joke. But their wings are tasty AND thicker than a bowl of oatmeal. Doesn't change how much I love this restaurant. read more

Talk bout a good lunch ! Went around 2pm wasn't packed at all , an option on if we wanted to sit outside or inside, we chose to sit outside since it was a beautiful day our waitress Kacie A was such a sweetheart from the beginning to the end. She was consistent. She was on top of her job, making sure we were having a great experience and her personality just made coming here even better. Happy hour does start at three so keep that in mind but there is only a few things on that menu so for entrée we decided to get the spicy chicken sandwich with their sweet potato fries which was definitely a 10 out of 10. Definitely recommend so delicious so flavorful every bite was worth it, we also tried to double smash burger with the garlic truffle fries that I would rate a seven out of 10 wasn't my favorite definitely like the chicken sandwich more for appetizers. We had their glazed brussels sprouts in the macaroni and cheese balls and both were a 10 out of 10. Very delicious and definitely enough to share. The ambience was very clean. I love the set up. I love how they have TVs and the option to sit either inside and out when I do return, I would like to go back in the nighttime because I didn't notice they had a fireplace that I think would be perfect to add to the vibe. So over all experience 10/10 . I do recommended. And don't forget to tip your waiter / waitress especially if they deserve it read more

We got the salmon kale salad and chipotle burger. The salad is a bit heavy on the dressing so I would def ask for light dressing on it next time. The salmon was perfectly cooked. The burger was so good! It had a nice smoky flavor and the bun was extremely soft. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. read more

Thank you so much for your kind words and stellar review! We're…
Came and ate everything but the burger and wasn't mad at all about it. We shared the ahi poke stack ($18) which was so refreshingly good. The tuna is stacked on a bed of smashed avocado and some sort of rice maybe? It's Asiany in flavor - lots of soy/sesame/Fresno chili flavors - paired with wonton chips. It's a really good bite of ahi poke. I ordered the French dip sandwich ($22) which comes with roast beef, caramelized onions, Havarti + horseradish aioli. The bread holding the inerts was nice and girthy to withstand all the dipping action in the au jus. This was a great alternative if you're not in the mood for a burger. Eureka's menu has a little something for everyone. The space is big, kid friendly, and surprisingly takes resys for those who hate waiting. read more

Good evening Damain!…
Upon arrival, the greeter warmly welcomed us and promptly guided us to our seats. Our waitress, who was in training, attended to us quickly and kindly offered a taster of the charcoal passion lemonade when we inquired about it. We decided to order a smash burger with fries and a bison burger, upgrading the fries to mac and cheese balls. The food was delicious, and we had no complaints. The charcoal passion lemonade was refreshing, though it may not suit those who prefer sweeter drinks. The decor was lovely, with options for both outdoor and I do or eating. read more

Elevated classics that are well made. You would think because it's a chain its like just elevated American food, but there is a good variety to their menu that separates it from like a Chilis. Plating and presentation is cute, and that's because the ingredients themselves are quality. It's sophisticated, like there are not other places serving purple rice over poke, but that is with good reason sometimes that feels like a bit much, but that's their way of elevating. read more
Had a late dinner here with wifey and some friends and it was a vibe. We came around 9pm and there was no wait at all. There's options to sit indoors or outdoors and we opted for outdoors to enjoy their nicely lit patio and a light breeze. They have a great selection of gourmet burgers, seafood, chicken, and salads on their menu. Wifey got the braised short rib which was tender and soft. I got the bone marrow burger and it was decadent and juicy. For those who prefer a sweeter side dish, get the honey and cinnamon sweet potato fries and you won't be disappointed. Overall, the staff here are very friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed the nice causal ambiance of the restaurant and the vibes of the patio they had. We will definitely be back! read more

First time eating at Eureka. We needed to stay in the area, so we came here right before rush hour. We got seated right away. Ordered a few beers, nothing special. We started with the Mac and cheese balls appetizer. Pretty tasty dipping sauces, that helped give the Mac and cheese balls a better flavor. We also ordered the steak nachos, fish and chips, and the grilled chicken sándwich. The steak nachos, were mediocre. The shredded cheese was melting onto the chips, but nothing special, I could have made those at home. The grilled chicken sandwich was also nothing special, more bread than chicken breast and toppings in the sandwich. Lastly, the run of the mill fish and chips, once again nothing special. Service was decent. Overall, I would stay this a slight step above chilis, more expensive for sure, but nothing worth coming back for. read more

It's a hit and miss with both locations I have been to. This night I decided to grab a bite to eat with my teenage daughter. First off the Lola comes to the table and stood so far away from the table we could barely hear her and she couldn't hear us. But still took our order as if we were social distancing for COVID. We had to repeat ourselves several times. Hopefully that's the correct name as communicating was a struggle. My daughter ordered a burger with no onions and tomatoes and lemonade. GUESS WHAT!! Yep! You guessed it. The burger had tomatoes and onions on it. The lemonade came in a way I have never seen. I had to stop the waiter to make sure it wasn't alcohol in her drink . (pic posted) He said because the drink was made at the bar it came in a glass like that. We were going to send it back but, lola took forever to come from the back. My daughter took the tomatoes and onions off and attempted to eat the burger but she just couldn't manage because she doesn't eat tomatoes or onions. We had to flag down other staff walking by just to get more pickles because our waitress seemed to disappear. Once I spotted lola I asked her for the check because we were over the poor service and undesirable food. She took forever to bring the check. Once she dropped off the check she took forever to come back to check us out. I am a big in tipping so I still tipped. It was the lowest suggested amount. I wish I had it in me not to tip at all. Because she was so deserving of $0. I had been to this location plenty of times and this is the first time they have failed me. Not sure if I would return. read more

Is your patio open to host events?
I think in the past my friend tried to have her wedding rehearsal dinner here but this was during the pandemic, and there was a limit on how many ppl it would be, so it didn't work out. I'm hoping someone from the restaurant gets back to you on this…
Do you take reservations for patio seating?
Was always told patio was first come, first served no reservations. Imagine my surprise when I walked in to try to snag the fireplace, only to be told that the seats were being held for reservations. Please clarify for future reference.
Do you have any happy hour specials for take out or delivery?
We do not have happy hour specials but we do have good deals on our wild child, industry margarita and Beer bags if you order on our website. Thank you!
Are guests able to dine-in? I know there's an outdoor patio with seating at this location.
At this moment our patio is open for you to enjoy your takeout food.
Do u have happy hour on the weekends?
We do! We offer our hoppy hour 7 days a week. 2-6pm and 9-close.
Could we change the French fries to something else?
They all can:). Or we can make it “naked”, which is the burger/sandwich on top of a bed of arugula topped with a lemon vinaigrette drizzle.
Do u have anything for birthdays?
They gave my friend a choice of dessert. Large parties are welcome here too.
I see that you don't take reservations. Is there usually a wait on Sunday around 11am?
Every time we have come there has never been a wait.
Do you guys happy hours on sat?
Hi there. We offer our hoppy hour 7 days a week. It is from 2:00-6:00 pm and then from 9:00-closing.
Do you guys have happy hour on friday's?
Absolutely, come early to get a good spot.
Helllo, I'm looking for a restaurant to invite my friends over for my birthday dinner . Do you make reservations for a group of 30 adults?
Good evening Omar. Thank you very much for considering us to host your birthday dinner! We do take reservations and can host a party of 30 depending on day and time. Please give me a call at the restaurant to discuss further.…
