Eureka is a fun place to go with indoor and outdoor seating options. We ordered drinks at the bar while waiting for our table and the servers were on it with several different bartenders asking us if we had been helped while we were still deciding. The drinks were not only well made but also delicious. When we sat down the servers were again on it and friendly. Nothing but good to say about the service. The food was blah. Very good service, the HH menu, is quite limited. Our meal, fish and chips was not what we expected, for 25$ a plate.

The Carlsbad Eureka is the best location! It's in a very non traditional place which I love. Super local vibe. The service is always top notch (Mia is AWESOME!), the outdoor space for kids and dogs is chill and open, and the food never disappoints. It's been the perfect place to train my dog how to behave in public establishments. And their new menu is fire! Definitely get the pretzel bites! And ahi poke. And bone marrow burger. The only thing I'll say is that online the al pastor tacos (new) are made with mahi, but it's actually cod. I only bring this up because I don't like cod. So happy this gets to be a local go-to spot for us. read more

We came here to celebrate two very special birthdays - my son and grandpa and spent a significant amount, so we expected at least the basics of good service. Unfortunately, even after reminding the staff and server 2-3 times about the celebration, no candles were brought out, and the dessert was served on a cluttered table without clearing our dishes. The food itself was ok , but the service truly took away from the experience. When you choose a place for a special occasion, the little touches matter -- and those were completely missed here. Hoping the restaurant pays more attention to hospitality in the future. A Fat tip was expected which we still generously tipped . Very disappointed. read more

Great ambience and patio setting. There is a large fire pit you can sit by and grass area for kids to play so you can enjoy a meal in peace! I got the wings and Mac and cheese bites. Our waitress Karishma was super friendly and very knowledgeable when it came to the menu, she offered some yummy recommendations that didn't disappoint us. All our burgers came out juicy and surpassed our expectations. We sometimes tend to forget how many different takes/styles one can do with a burger. The creative minds at Eureka don't disappoint at all. The restaurant is quite spacious, dog and family friendly, something that is refreshing and much appreciated. Although, I appreciate the unique and creativity behind the menu it wasn't my personal taste hence why I can't give it the full five starts . However, I still highly recommend especially if you are a hamburger lover, for vegetarians, there was a beet patty. They also have an impressive beer selection. read more

This is a great location, near Bressi Ranch and Palomar Airport. It seems a lot of local business people come for lunch here, so might want to make a reservation if you want a specific outside area. The night light for us was the juicy burgers that were prepared well, and the fries delicious. I also ordered a peach sangria, so refreshing for a hot afternoon. Our server Haley was super helpful with the menu, and made some good suggestions for us. We will try it again for dinner, as the Salmon dinner looked like something to try. I don't think it entirely screamed kid-friendly, but it was enough for our 3 year old to hang out... we ordered a kids mac and cheese, fish and chips and a double smash burger... all of which were delish! The fish had a light crisp to them which is always what I'm looking for... service was average for a not so busy evening, but not horrible... The place is Wally nice looking both inside and out. It has a fire pit ordeal so you can sit outside and even bring your pups. The staff all were super nice, especially our waitress. The manager also stopped by our table to ensure everything was ok. I got the bison burger which was good, but undercooked from the medium I asked it to be. Ambiance was really nice. Away from the crowds, easy parking, and friendly staff. The Caesar salad with chicken on it could have been much more flavorful. The chicken was very Bland and the Caesar salad dressing had little flavor. That being said they're hamburgers were incredible. He's happy hour Burger which is on their normal menu with nice and thick and flavorful. I wish I had gotten that. Burger was $13 during the happy hour and I believe the salad was around 19 to $20. Kids mac and cheese was small but their kids cheeseburger came with fries and was sufficient size. The kids meals did come with drinks which was a plus. The one thing I didn't like was the payment at the table with only three options for tips starting at elevated values vs historical tip ranges. read more

Sometimes, though not often, I develop a craving for American food. As someone with an unashamedly Asian palette, I have pages and pages of thoughts on the firmness of sushi rice, the texture of noodles, or the complexity of chili oil. You need look no further than my yelp reviews for proof. I have far fewer thoughts about American food, so when the craving hits, I tend to just look for a menu that appeals to me. I came to Eureka after visiting the Flower Fields, absolutely starving and craving some fries and burgers. On this, Eureka definitely delivered! We came around 2PM so the restaurant was not very crowded. Eureka looks like the sort of place that caters to nearby office workers, with a great happy hour selection, sports on the TVs, and clean, wooden decor. Service was prompt and our server was attentive and chill. We opted for outdoor seating, and the fireplace and heaters cut through the chill. My party got the bison and fig burgers, both medium, as well as the cinnamon honey sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries arrived first, and they were definitely a dessert kind of fry. Exceedingly crispy, and drenched in honey. They were like a crispy, finger-food version of sweet potato casserole and very fun to eat. I have no idea how they got the fries so crispy and structurally sound, as my own attempts at sweet potato fries at home always end up rather sad and limp. Our burgers arrived next. Each burger came with a side of fries and ketchup. The bison burger was tender, with a surprisingly spicy roast pepper, caramelized onions, and some kind of sweet, jammy relish on top. I've seen ground bison on sale at Costco and have always been slightly intrigued about its taste. It was good, but I did not taste much of a difference from regular beef. The fig and goat cheese burger was excellent. The soft, gamey goat cheese, sweet fig preserve, and peppery arugula made each bite an adventure. Paired with the juicy patty and crisp bacon, this was a very memorable burger! The fries were crispy and fresh, with a soft and mealy interior. You can't go wrong with that! The only thing I wished was different was the bread. It didn't taste quite as fresh or as toasted as I would have liked. This is entirely down to personal preference, but I think I like buns with a bit more body and chew. I enjoyed eating at Eureka, I think I'll definitely keep it in my back pocket for the next time that I have the specific craving of American food that isn't fast food. First thing we asked our server Kate, when is this place was open to business? Six years already, and we didn't know about it? Nice place, with both inside and outside seating (dog friendly outside), the food is good, we ordered Al Pastor Fish Tacos with house salad (we didn't know that it's extra $3). One smart move, we asked to bring the source (which was claimed not to be spicy) on the side. It was really spicy for our taste. My boss ordered her favorite cheese burger, called American and she loved it, also with house salad. Our server Kate got a really cheerful disposition, she was a pleasure to deal with. I think we were even visited once by a manager , asking about service and food. My NJ son and daughter-in-law were really impressed with this place, welcome back to California! Stopped in after looking on Yelp because we were in the area and wanted to try something new. The location is a little hidden off the street in a modern complex with other eateries. We tried the cauliflower bites, Mac and Cheese Balls, and the Double Smash. Wow! Both were so yummy! I was a little surprised my husband loved the cauliflower bites because they're topped with bonito and he's a picky eater but opted to just roll with how they're supposed to be served. Good thing I did cuz he loved them and could have easily eaten the entire order himself. The Double Smash was next level yummy! The bun is so soft and buttery and the meat is so delicious full of umami. The menu says they feed their cows carrots so I had to try the beef. It was so good, we ordered one to go as well LOL. For the to go one, we paired it with the Mac and Cheese Balls instead of fries. Yum! They had a slight heat to them. We were greeted immediately and seated soon after. The restaurant is modern but in a warm inviting way. They have outdoor seating with a cool fireplace. Our server was friendly and shared her faves from each section which was helpful since it was our first time. She knew we weren't in a rush so it was nice that she gave us time to decide and not bug us constantly asking if we were ready. Eureka is a common visited place since it's so close to work. Their food overall is really good and the wild child drink is delicious and easy to drink. The chicken nachos use to be a go to favorite of mine but something about them is just different and not as good as it use to be. If you sit at the bar the service is great, but the wait staff is hit or miss. Overall, the food is pretty good. I've tried burgers, Mac n cheese balls, nachos, Brussels, a few others. Everything has been tasty. There is also a grassy (fake grass) area outside where kids can run around a bit. It's a nice spot. read more

First time here during lunch hour. I arrived a little before noon, so the parking lot was yet to be full. Then at around 12:15pm, the plaza got really busy. The hostess was welcoming, and we were seated indoors right away (we asked for this instead of outdoors as it was a bit chilly). They have quite a few alcoholic beverages, and their menu items were also all appealing. My coworker ordered a burger, and the meat was very tender. She enjoyed her burger and her side of fries. I ordered the fish and chips, but upgraded to the honey-cinnamon sweet potato fries. The fish and chips were delicious! Overall, good eatery with delicious options. After a few hours at the trampoline park, Papa needed some dinner, and this place is right next door. The atmosphere is nice, the buildings feel like a collection of cargo containers but there are nice fireplaces and the interior is nicely woody. My son and I were seated quickly, and the host enthusiastically recommended some menu items. "I've been here a month, and I've had this one eleven times!" The waiter was great, very helpful. I'm a tiki freak so I ordered The Headhunter King, and it was one of the best drinks I've had. That and the mac and cheese balls, I had a moment. We have been coming to Eureka since 2021. We would get their amazing burgers, the charcoal lemonade, and their bourbon cake. We had couple incidents where we have been ignored after being sat at our table. We witnessed without a doubt racism here. It's definitely sad but how do you explain when the staff knows you're sat, ignores your table, makes eye contact, they don't greet you, it's not busy, helps others before you (others that don't look like you). This has happened multiple times and not only to us but my cousins. They definitely don't care for our business. Please take your money elsewhere.
