It was the perfect day to enjoy outdoor seating! We ordered a large bowl of pho noodles with cooked brisket and a side of summer rolls. The service was decent and quick. The pho broth was refreshing, though a bit on the bland side. My only real complaint was the chili oil sauce--it had a flavor that was noticeably different from what I'm used to and didn't quite complement the dish. The chili oil sauce had a curry-like taste. This is a nice hole-in-the-wall Pho spot in Kentlands. I came in for dinner with my sister on a weeknight and it was slow. Service was quick, and they were nice. Instead of having traditional pho soup, I was craving lemongrass meat. I ordered the grilled lemongrass beef with vermicelli noodles. I was pleased with my selection! I went here for lunch and ordered the Bun Bo Hue on the menu. The BBH came out, hot and not microwave. You can tell because microwave food will be hot for a short time then cool down, the broth here was hot until the end. The BBH soup flavor was on point to what I am used to eating BBH in California and Vietnam. The only complaint I have is the BBH noodle is too soggy. The noodle was overcooked making it mushy and making the bowl of BBH went down in point. I hope the restaurant correct the over cooked mushy noodle. I'm not sure why I never stopped in this place before today. It is one of my biggest blunder. I opted for carry-out. I ordered my go-to dishes from a Vietnamese restaurant, Shrimp Summer Rolls and Pork Vermicelli. The rolls were so fresh. You can tell that they were made to order. The peanut sauce was to die for. The pork vermicelli was good that I finished the whole thing. I couldn't stop. I just kept eating until it was all gone. The sauce for the vermicelli was so good. OK - I've been holding out on a review because I wanted to "gate keep" this place. It is absolutely my top Pho place in the DMV area. I've brought a few of my Vietnamese friends and they say the soup tastes like home or even close to their mother's cooking which is a high honor for another pho place. I normally get the Euphoria special pho which comes with plenty of brisket and ox tail. Recently I ordered their vermicelli noodle dish special which came with lemongrass chicken, grilled shrimp and a spring roll. Everything was delicious and tasty. What could be better when you're feeling sick but a hot bowl of pho delivered to your door. This was my first time trying this place and it won't be the last. I order the summer rolls and the tai pho (eye of round steak). The summer rolls and peanut sauce were perfect and everything about the pho was just as I wanted. Tender beef, perfectly cooked noodles, delicious broth and all the sides I need-onions, scallions, cilantro, jalapeño, lime, bean sprouts, hoisin, hot sauce. And what made me the absolute happiest was how it was packaged for delivery. The broth was separate from the noodles and beef, which avoided over cooking them. So I used to actually like this place, then they raised prices and the food became worse so I stopped going to it. Recently dragged back by some friends... I can no longer dislike this place, and it's actually become rather great. The Pho broth has become way more flavorful than before so I have to give them credit there. I still think their Bun Bo Hue is subpar and would suggest avoiding compared to other options in Rockville (or if you are from CA), but their Pho has won me over. The Ban Mi's are not over filled, but delicious and a nice compliment to a bowl of Pho if you are a big eater! read more

This must have undergone a management change in recent years. The place was fine before but definitely elevated a notch in food quality and service. Their pho is flavorful - well simmered beef with balanced seasoning. I'm not a fan of the heavy cinnamon/fennel type that seems to be popular and Euphoria is one of the few places that manages it well. They are super generous with their greens, which I loved. I wasn't used to the fried onions sprinkled on top - so keep that in mind and let them know in advance. Their banh mis were also good and they use a softer bread instead of baguette so it was easier on the roof of our mouths. Service was incredible. They are attentive and accommodating - including adjusting to dietary restrictions and no-gripe substitution for veggies in lieu of heavy rice on the pork chops. Coming from Ohio, we thought the prices were reasonable. It's within our grandkid's walking distance but somehow never got to the restaurant until this weekend The ambience and service was a 3 star, nothing notable, but the food was good. 10/13/2021 A solid 3.5. My colleague and I came here for lunch on a Wednesday at noon. We were the only ones there the entire time. I would have expected more patrons to come in given the snail like pace of the kitchen. If it was that slow for only two patrons, I wonder what the wait time would have been when they are busy. I ordered Fried Meat Spring Rolls as an app. I wasn't particularly wowed by them. They were average at best. For my entree, I ordered the Vermicelli Delight Bowl (beef, pork, and chicken). My colleague ordered the Vermicelli Euphoria Special Shrimp, Chicken, and Spring Roll Bowl. We both liked our bowls. The meat in my bowl were flavorful and the vermicelli was cooked just right, not over or undercooked like at other places. My colleague ordered the Vietnamese Iced Coffee and said it was a bit too strong for her liking. Our server disappeared into the kitchen for awhile and my colleague had to go up to the counter and call out to get his attention. Again, while we were there, I only saw one to go bag which a patron was picking up as we were settling the tab. I am not sure what took so long for everything. Stopped for an early supper after picking up the yogurt samples for tomorrow night's tasting. Little hidden gem on Main Street, 6 tables in a tastefully decorated room + 1 outside. 97° so we passed on the pho and got the Euphoria bowl. Nice texture on the vermicelli, topped with veggies, roast pork, chicken, a skewer of large perfectly grilled shrimp and a spring roll with a savory meat filling more like lumpia. Didn't look like a lot of food but I was comfortably filled. The dipping sauce deserves special mention, balancing sweet, sour, fish sauce and sweet. Jasmine iced tea was very refreshing. I was not happy with their food and service. I told them I was allergic to cilantro when I placed my order. However, when the food came, there's cilantro in the pho. Then the waiter took the food back to the kitchen and simply removed the cilantro from the pho. If you have food allergy, I wouldn't recommend you going to this place. read more

This Vietnamese Restaurant has great dishes!! It's. Small restaurant near Whole Foods. They have a table outside if you want to dine outside. It was pretty cold that day so not for me. Total hidden gem. This place is so unassuming in the Kentlands, you would never know that they're serving up some of the best Pho and Vietnamese food in Gaithersburg. But they certainly are. Trust me. *I went with the Pho ( Tai) *What they call the Vietnamese Pancake ( more commonly referred to as a Banh Xeo) *And an order of grilled shrimp summer rolls. oh *And a grilled pork Banh Mi No... I did not eat it all in one sitting... just most of it ;) And yes everything I had was absolutely delicious. If you've never looked up a recipe for Pho. You should. It's truly a labor of love. Most Pho recipes take 8+ hours of slow cooking to achieve such a flavorfully deep broth. Also, it's not a mistake that the broth is super clear. That is a hallmark of Pho's that takes a good deal of effort to achieve. This Pho was just tops. Excellent quality, the noodles were cooked well, and the meat was quite fresh. The grilled pork banh mi was not the best cooked meat banh mi I've ever had (that currently goes to Mi La Cay in Wheaton), but it was quite good. And the Banh Xeo ( which is like an egg pancake that is folded over and filled with beansprouts, meat, and other seasonings) was so delicious that I'm really craving it pretty hard now that I'm typing. One thing I will note is that the menus that are on the delivery services that they currently use are all a bit different. And I truly could not find one that I could put in the full order I wanted on the site/app. So I ended up calling the store directly and had them just take my order for delivery over the phone. Glad I could save them a few bucks too. I wouldn't hesitate to order from here again. High quality Viet food, nearby, that is reasonably priced. I'll take that all day every day. read more

I have a lot of patience and compassion towards small businesses and restaurants but what I have ZERO tolerance for is a restaurant that does not care if they serve their customers spoiled food. Got the vermicelli bowl special with shrimp, chicken and egg roll. Egg roll was completely rancid - the meat sour from that spoiled taste. Chicken was definitely not fresh either but shrimp was fine. I let them know, they sent me a new egg roll, freshly fried but inside also completely rancid. Didn't even try to apologize or comp the bowl. I had to ask if they could comp some of it and they took off a few dollars for the egg roll. I get it's a small business and in times like these, every penny counts but people also don't go out to eat with the intention to get sick and eat rancid food that has contaminated the entire bowl. It's this lack of care towards food safety that crosses a line for me and makes a restaurant completely distrust-worthy. I am giving two stars because their oxtail pho was very good and tasted fresh (light on msg and clear broth). Came here for some banh mi sandwiches, right before heading to the Montgomery County Fairground for the Hot Air Balloon Festival. The banh sandwiches were a little bit smaller than the ones I'm familiar with in Virginia, but I can't fault the place since it is mainly a pho restaurant. I've seen worse in my pho's before, fine, no biggy, but then my pho was sprinkled heavily pepper. I've never ordered pho and had so much pepper sprinkled that it looks like little gnats floating on the top of the bowl and I would know, I've been to Vietnam and had (authentic) pho. This place was recommended by a good friend only for the oxtail pho so we ran over to try! It was on a rain day so it was perfect. We ordered the summer rolls with this peanut sauce that tasted like the purest peanut butter they truly grew the peanuts in the back and puréed it to perfection. WOW, I could order the sauce by itself. I ordered a large house special pho and my partner ordered the brisket and added oxtails. Man!, that oxtail was chef kiss. The service was super speedy assuming it was the owners daughter she didn't say much but she was super efficient. The decoration was super homey and filled with plants and made it feel so welcoming. We ordered takeout by telephone, when I arrived to pick up our food it turn es out they had forgotten to make one of our dishes. They proceeded to make that item, but it took another 20 minutes, which means every other item got cold.but Even worse, I had ordered a tofu-based item for one of our diners who is a vegetarian... but they made it with pork instead! Which he discovered after taking his first bite. And there were no other items he could eat. So to recap...food was late, cold, and a vegetarian was served pork instead of tofu, and then went hungry. It's a family owned store, right next to the new bubble tea shop. It's small and clean, no frills and has excellent service. We shared a Vietnamese summer roll, and I got a bowl of pho and my friend got the grilled chicken dish. The pho was well flavored and the broth was perfect for a cold fall night to warm up the insides and be comforting. The portion sizes were perfect and the prices too were not too expensive. I had one fairly good visit here and one utter disaster. During the good visit the eye round pho was tasty and the coconut smoothie was excellent...on the second visit we waited a very long time for our food and there was a significant delay between when my order arrived and when they finally brought out my son's dish (we took it to go...it was that late). They also didn't tell us they were completely out of pho until we had sat down and were ready to order...! I'm writing this while thoroughly enjoying leftovers from here. Most places in the Kentlands close at 9:00pm, but Euphoria closes at 9:30, and those 30 minutes made all the difference last night when we decided around 9:00pm to get dinner. It's has a cozy, casual feel that's perfect for a spur of the moment dinner out. Id been here before, but had never tried the pho. Last night I got the eye round/brisket pho, and some beef summer rolls. I'm no expert, but the pho here is delightfully refreshing, yet filling. The pho had a good amount of meat in it for the price. The summer rolls were perfect with the peanut sauce (that I could've drank an entire jar of). I took home half of my soup, and they gave me a quart of broth to take home with it. I'm finishing up my leftovers as I finish this review, and I'm already craving more. It's that good. read more
