I was attracted by the menu when searching for a nearby pho spot so my partner and I decided to try Pho & Grill. It was self seating and there was ample seating so we were greeted right away by the waiter. There was no music so it was quiet expect for the other patrons speaking, just a speaker in the back of the kitchen was playing Spanish music. The food came out pretty quickly within 10 minutes of ordering and it smells so delicious, the crab Rangoon was so creamy and flavorful, as well as the crispy shrimp and fried dumplings! The pho hit the spot too adding the siracha & hoisin sauce, the meat was so tender that it just melts in your mouth, & they are not shy with their portions! This is our go to for pho, they are consistently kind and courteous, which is wonderful when you come so often. We rarely get take out, but choose to eat in instead, and it's usually very chill inside. Not overly crowded, normally it's at least 2-6 other families of 2-4 inside, which makes it relaxing while you're eating. read more

Glad to find a decent Vietnamese place near this area not too far from Costco in a small strip mall near the old Lake forest Mall location that is being developed. We need more authentic Vietnamese joints in the Rockville area and region. Pho & Grill has good Pho noodles and I particularly enjoyed their spicy beef noodle soup. I was also pleased to find Bahn Mi sub sandwiches with a nice selection of combinations and meats. The Vietnamese fried Spring rolls had a nice size too. Hopefully we can get more authentic south east asian varieties like Pho & Grill in the immediate Rockville area soon! read more

I hadn't been here since awhile before Covid, but stopped by with another couple to have lunch on a Sunday. Since our last visit, they have changed their setup. My understanding is that they have new management. So in the past, you'd go up to the counter and order from the menu, posted on the wall. Then you'd find a seat and take your "order number" with you to your seat. They have taken down the menu behind the counter and gone to full table service. They give you a pretty large menu to choose from and offer a wide number of options. The Pros: 1) The Pho is really delicious - one of my favorites in the area. Their broth is super rich. 2) You can order extra meat or veggies on the side. So many places don't offer extra veggies. 3) They give a cash discount The Cons: 1) Service serves you and then basically never comes by again. We were there for 2 hours and they checked on us once and never refilled our water or brought our bill, without asking 2) They totally messed up our bill and ended up giving us 35 dollars back that they didn't owe us. I had to go up to the counter and explain the error and she ran the bill again with the right total and change. I didn't want them to be short at the end of the day. 3) They add an automatic gratuity to the bill without telling you ahead of time. I asked why we were charged that and they said they do it to parties of 4 automatically. We were technically a party of four, but had separate bills. I probably won't go again for sit down service, as I'm not a fan of the changes, but I would consider doing take out Pho from here if I was in the area. Their prices, like everyone else, have gone up too, so it was $40 for 2, including their added tip and the 10% cash discount. read more

My wife and I ordered the bún bò Huế with a variety of meats. Unfortunately, most of what my wife got were fatty cuts. That's fine in moderation, but there wasn't much balance, and the overall portion of meat was pretty light. The broth was quite oily and lacked depth--it just wasn't very flavorful. The chả lụa didn't stand out either. On the upside, the noodles were solid and about what you'd expect for the dish. We also ordered phở for our daughter, but they forgot the bò viên and the broth was overly salty. Overall, not a great experience, and we'll probably try a different location next time. read more

This review is based solely on delivery/take out. I had been to this location back in 2015 and the Olney location more recently pre-COVID and it was awful. I saw that this location was available through Doordash/Uber Eat early in the pandemic, and I refused to order from them. But after getting bored with all the options close by, and seeing that this location had better reviews - I decided to give them another try. TBH, I am so glad that I did. I had the combination beef pho (large) with no noodles. But I asked for extra bean sprouts (steamed) instead. Not only was the broth delicious, but the portion of meat was generous and they actually gave me EXTRA bean sprouts! I don't know how many times I've asked for this at other pho places, and it NEVER happens. So just for getting my order right - I was so happy! I also had the grilled pork roll which was delicious. Everything was sealed. They gave everything, lime,sprouts,sauces,noodles,broth. They placed the meat in the container instead of inside the container like the other pho spots do. That's alright, not really a big deal. Portion size for the meat is SMALL! If your a guy and like it meaty? you will have to order double meat. I love how they cut the meat thin too! Broth? Reminds me of that pho place in the beer and wine store. Just a little salty. Pho Viet Saigon has the perfect recipe still. But!!! Pho and grill broth was enjoyable for sure!!! Only complaint. The noodles were somewhat hard to pull apart when I was putting my bowl together at home. The bottoms of the noodles were stuck to together and that was annoying. While in the area searched on Yelp for Pho places to eat. First place on Shady Grove Road didn't have vegetable broth, I'm just learning within the Pho community vegetable soup doesn't mean vegetable broth. Left there and drove to this establishment. After calling they serve vegetable broth. Well the soups were very good; that's until one of the 3 had a fly floating in it. Contacted the place and they wanted to see a picture of the fly which was provided. I think this is a bit much but okay. I have been to this place many times before. Pho Grill is a typical pho place. It has a limited menu but with your essentials. Bring some cash with you because if you pay with cash, you get a cash discount (I think it's 10%.) The parking lot is a little hectic so take caution. You order at the counter but they will bring your to you. I am a plain iced tea drinking was was excited that they had jasmine iced tea. However, I was very disappointed with the drink. It definitely did not taste like jasmine. Very sad. The summer rolls were delicious and were freshly made. You could definitely tell when it's not because the skin/wrap gets hard. They came with generous portion of peanut dipping sauce. I had requested the pho soup to come with less noodles and they accommodated the request. I am all about the brooth and the toppings. Honestly, whoever said the Best Goi Coun Nem Nuon (Grilled pork rolls, $3.95) is the best in Montgomery County is pretty accurate. No longer I have to stop by an ATM and then drive to Eden Center in Virginia to get my fix of that spring roll stuffed with crispy grilled chicken addictiveness. I admit it I'll pretty much eat anything wrapped up in rice paper but this is exceptional. The dipping sauce with this (not a peanut sauce but more of a tangy fish sauce base [i think]) is delicious. Speaking of things wrapped in rice paper, the summer rolls ($3.95) were ok here, not quite as outstanding as the Goi Coun Nem Nuon, but the peanut sauce that came as a dipping sauce was pretty tasty and plentiful (served in a larger bowl than most places). We also ordered on of the new additions to the menu, Shrimp Toast ($5.45), unlike other shrimp toasts I have had this had a crust of fried shrimp paste baked on top of the french toast. I thought it was pretty fantastic. I had the #1 Eye Round - Tái with medium rare meat (Large $8.75 / Small $7.75), and we also ordered the new addition the menu, Bun Bo Hue ($9.95). The broths were pretty solid, it's one of the few times I had to add sriracha and a ton of limes (I really like limes though, I should have been voted least likely to get Scurvy in high school because of my citrus addiction) to the broth, so it is lacking a bit, but not bad at all for the price and the service. Speaking of which, I loved the service here. We came here for dinner, after trying to go to two other local restaurants were we sat around for 20 minutes just waiting at the actual table for menus and to be served. In sharp contrast, it was a delight to come in here, and order at the counter (like a deli) and we were served food fast. The staff here is soo sweet! I love them. This review solely based on my takeout experience as all my visits have been during the pandemic. The service is always great when I call to place my order and the food is always ready on time. The Brisket Pho and Spring Rolls are my go-to items to be honest. I have not really tried anything else on the menu except for a spoonful of rice with Lemongrass Pork, which was also very tasty. This is my go-to place to satisfy my pho cravings. I have only tried their vegetarian pho so far and I love it! There are very few places that have a good vegetarian pho. The broth for most veggie pho is so underwhelming on the taste that you have to douse them with hoisin sauce and sriracha. I found the broth here quite flavorful, but I still douse it with hoisin and sriracha anyway ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Their customer service is not bad either, but the wait can be 20-25 minutes. Once, apparently they were out of veggie broth. I usually get it to-go and they pack it nicely, so it is easy to assemble the pho at home. The quantity is also pretty good for the price. She had never had the grilled pork rolls and really loved it especially with the dipping sauce. We each ordered a small bowl of pho. When a coworker asked if I wanted Vietnamese food for lunch I said pho sho! We found Pho & Grill located in the same shopping center as Marshall's and Dollar Tree. There is plenty of parking and the restaurant is easy to find. I basically drove as fast as I could because I was craving a bahn mi like you wouldn't believe. When we arrived we were greeted and lead to the counter to order with staff. They have menus but also highlights on the wall. There is a minimum purchase in order to use a debit/credit card so be aware. My tofu Bahn mi was less than $5 so I added the tofu spring rolls. My coworker ordered Pho and shrimp spring-rolls. While waiting for our food my coworker realized he forgot to order a drink. When he went back up they wouldn't allow him to use his debit card because it was less than $10. I was annoyed because he just spent $18 less than three minutes beforehand. I'll be honest, our food was out within ten minutes and it looked great. Unfortunately the only thing great about it was how it looked. Both spring rolls were really bad. I'm pretty sure they put mint in them and the mint was super overpowering. My coworker ended up eating just the two pieces of shrimp out and tossing the rest. It was apparent that the tofu inside of mine was not even cooked. My bahn mi was drier than the desert and I found no indication that there was mayo on it...which is my favorite part #mayoislife. The pho really lacked flavor and my coworker tried adding anything and everything to make it taste better. I was really let down by Pho & grill, I should have read the mixed reviews before coming. This is hands-down the cleanest PHO place I've ever been to! Very friendly owner, servers, and bussers! Just a stark difference from any other place. I find the prices cheap compared to other spots. A large bowl and an iced coffee costs $10.50 (75 cents more than Pho 75) and 2-3 bucks cheaper than every other place in the area. Soup is consistently good. I like PHO 75 a little better, but find it better than PHO Nam (shady grove road) which always has poor quality meat. Good PHO! The grilled dishes seem a bit plain to me, but I get the PHO! It is a great place to bring friends who may be squeamish about the smell of typical PHO places. And I love the counter ordering. Very quick and efficient to order, eat and leave. Despite being quarantined, when it rains, you have to order Pho. I placed a delivery order through the Door Dash app and even though they opened at 11 AM, I was still able to schedule for later delivery. I ordered 2 P4s which are basically Pho Noodle Soups with Eye of Round, Tendon, Tripe - and they came in prepackaged bowls which it made it convenient to eat from. They put extra veggies (thai basil, soybean sprouts, lime wedges) on the side that you can ass to your pho. Also I asked for Cilantro on the side which they put a bunch on a small container. They provided chopsticks, plastic spoons and forks and napkins in a plastic bag. The soups came in large containers and were still hot when I got them. If it's warm just pop them in the microwave and it'll be hot! The delivery items were just as delicious as the in restaurant experience! read more

The meat for pho are pre cooked in water than sliced, It doesn't taste tender and no beef flavor, lemon grass grill pork are also pre cook in water then sliced, and soaked in soy sauce, it didn't taste any lemon grass flavor, of course no grill flavor also. Not a huge fan of Pho but this place has a cute low-key ambiance and plenty of parking. Great for a quick dinner on a cold winter night.
