Decided to stop by during such a cold day. Needed a piping hot pho. The location has plenty of parking. They have a robot that brings your food. As it arrives, the waitress kindly places your food at your table. A great way to bring multiple plates at once. I ordered summer rolls and there was nothing to rave about. They actually felt grainy. For my pho, the house special was the way to go. The broth was flavorful. Generous pieces of meat and tendon. I needed abut more onion but really enjoyed it.
Given that Pho Nom Nom had positive reviews, I decided to try it out. I live in LA where there is an extensive Vietnamese community and consequently some great Vietnamese restaurants. Was pleased to see that they serve Bun Bo Hue style soups and ordered the large S1D. Was quite disappointed. The backbone of any soup is the broth. It has to be slow cooked overnight with tons of bones to extract the full flavor. Sadly this broth was insipid and tasted little better than beef broth out of a can. The vegetables were fresh and the noodles were good. Lastly, there was hardly any meat in my soup. What should have given me pause on entering the restaurant and walked away was that all the waiters were Hispanic and the manager(?) looked like he was not Vietnamese. Not to mention that the waiters were inattentive as they were busy on their cell phones most of the time I was there. That should have been a warning sign. Keep in mind that most, if not all, of the Vietnamese restaurant in LA employ Vietnamese cooks, waiters, managers as they know their food! Ambience was fine. Restaurant was clean. Lastly, not sure why they employ robotic carts to bring the food to the table. Are the waiters not to be trusted to bring food to your table?
I only have good things to say about this place! Let's start with the pho - absolutely fantastic. The broth was rich and aromatic, clearly simmered for hours to develop that deep, satisfying flavor. Adding a squeeze of fresh lime, a few sprigs of basil, and a touch of their garlic chili sauce really elevated it to another level. I appreciated the different size options. The spring rolls were another winner. Perfectly crispy and light, with a filling of fresh, vibrant vegetables. You could taste the quality of the ingredients. The restaurant itself is clean, bright, and inviting. The layout has a good mix of seating options to accommodate different groups. There's a cute robot server that brings the dishes to the table, and we had a laugh over it saying that something was blocking its way, and that it would lose its job if the food wasn't brought to the table soon. The (human) service overall was prompt and efficient, just what I want at a pho restaurant. Overall, this restaurant is a gem. The food is top-notch, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the service is on point. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious and comforting bowl of pho. Free parking lot.
This review is based on a to go order. When I called this place the cashier on the phone was extremely nice! Excited to take my order. That was a great first impression for my first time coming here. I use to come to the pho spot that was here before so when I heard about Pho Nom Nom being here I thought I try it. And the reviews are great! The restaurant is clean and vibrant. If I had time I would have loved to eat in. The pho was good! I did the eye round steak. They portion was pretty decent for the price. I didn't extra meat on one bowl and it was $19 for the bowl. Not too bad. Flavor in the broth was good but I felt like it could have a little more flavorful. I felt like there could have been more onions and cilantro but they didn't put enough in the bowl. Next time I will ask. But it was good and I would definitely come here again! Thanks for the best customer service I had at a Pho spot!
I want to love this place ..... but I went there for dinner with boyfriend. It's not my first choice but I decided why not. Big mistake. I order the P4 and some food and drink to go. However when I dressed it up, I noticed a fruit fly in my bowl. Confused where it came I did some investigating and it came from the vinegar. I know this bc there was another dead fruit fly on the nozzle! Thankfully they got me another bowl, fine. But then we received our drink to go it was completely the wrong order. We ordered a small smoothie w no bubbles - they gave us a large w bubbles. While we were checking out we said "we got the wrong order but we don't want you to remake it all over can you just charge us for what we wanted", and yet they STILL overcharged us . At this point we were over it. He apologized but we were done going back and forth Notes for the owners- check/clean your condiments Make sure your workers are attentive
We came on a weekday for lunch and it was busy. We ordered the S1 bun bo hue dac biet, S2a hu tieu tom thit, B6 chanh muoi and B13 sinh to bo (avocado smoothie). The food was good, and the large is quite large. My partner got the SL bun bo hue however it was more broth and a decent amount of noodles and protein. The blood cubes were fresh and good, but the other protein weren't and even seemed old like it was from yesterday's batch. Service was good, however a slight wait on food and drinks. Prices are similar to their Rockville location, so slightly overpriced in my opinion. It's located in a plaza so plenty of parking space compared to the other location.
Food: Delicious fried wonton, fried shrimp. Savory pho noodles . Tasty spicy beef noodles. Cleanliness: table was dirty, crumbs allover the seats, had to waved the waitress down to come over clean them. Surprised they didn't feel the need to clean it after the previous customer Service: foods came out fast. Not much communications otherwise. Atmosphere: standard, nothing stood out Value: even though the food were pretty tasty, but $17.99 for a small size noodle is kinda pricey. And to be clear, their small is really small. Overall, not bad, but there are better ones.
This place lives up to its name! Delicious, large portions of pho with excellent broth. Vietnamese coffee was excellent. Plenty of tables and it was easy to get a seat during lunch. The server we had didn't speak English very well so occasionally it was difficult to communicate. Service was efficient though, except there were a lot of people paying at the same time so it took ages to get the check.
Rounded to 4.5. We enjoyed our experience. A classic good pho place in the area - the meat is the highlight of the pho here hands down. The service is quick and they have a fun robot that brings the food.
I was craving a good pho for lunch, as it had been so long since I had it. I used Yelp to help me choose where to go since I was in Gaithersburg for an appointment. Pho Nom Nom was close and had decent reviews so off I went. I walked into a pleasant, smallish restaurant with soothing decor. Several tables and booths were occupied, so I took that as a good sign that people liked the food. The server, Ben, was attentive and helped me choose a pho: slices of round steak and meatballs. I ordered a large bowl but should have gotten a small. A robot delivered my order to the table with the help of Ben, which was a hoot. I have to say that the scent of the broth hit my nose first and it was heavenly. The accompaniments of lime, basil, bean sprouts and jalapeno slices were very fresh. I added a few modest squirts of sriracha sauce and got to eating. The round steak was a nice surprise ... steak in pho can be very chewy and this bowl had decently tender slices. I have to admit I wasn't a fan of the meatballs. They looked like half slices of a firm sausage (for comparison). They didn't taste bad, they just weren't my jam and I enjoyed the steak more. Next time I'd like to try the steak and brisket. Comfort food is filling so I took my leftovers home so I could have the pho for dinner (yay!). Of course, I had to end the meal with an iced Vietnamese coffee. Strong in the best way and not overly sweet, I took it to go and it gave me plenty of energy to finish my errands throughout the day. read more
Although the robot server freaks me out a bit, the human staff here are super friendly and helpful! One gentleman actually came out and helped my mom into the restaurant when she was on a walker. I have not tried the pho here but I really enjoyed the bun rieu and the com tam plate my mom ordered. My bun rieu had an ample amount of good quality crab meatballs, fried tofu, shrimp cake, and pork blood. I added extra peppers and asked for a little extra shrimp paste for my soup but that's my preference. I got my fix without having to spend all day cooking or driving all the way to Eden Center. I had a bite of the grilled pork chop with rice which was delicious and the fish sauce was actually to my liking here! So glad they opened right in Gaithersburg so close to home. read more

I was excited to try their Gaithersburg location as I live near the Rockville one and it's always packed. My friend got the classic pho and I ordered a vermicelli noodle dish with chicken. Food came out so quickly. We also had appetizers with spring rolls. It was quite busy on a Saturday afternoon around lunch. But food definitely met a standard of quality. read more

Update 08/18/2024 I came back again and service was much faster this time. The appetizer only took about 5 minutes to get to my table this time and the entrees came about 10 minutes after that. Food was good before but service was a bit slow but it was much better this time. read more

The food here was delicious, the pho broth was clear and so flavorful and aromatic, the fried rolls were crunchy and hot with the fish sauce, the summer rolls were also delicious, the grilled chicken was flavorful and delicious, the service was quick and easy, the place is quite small but they get you seated quickly also try their chili oil bc is so GOOD 10/10!!! read more
We ordered a P6 super large bowl ($17) and a S1 large bowl $19. We thought the two bowls were absolutely delicious. The super large pho bowl had lots of noodles. The broth was amazing and there were a generous amount of meat. The s1 large bowl had even more meat. The broth was rich. It was great! The servers were attentive and nice. The robot server, that brought the dishes in the beginning, was a nice touch. The side ingredients/toppings were fresh. This place is definitely pricer than most pho joints. However, pho nom nom is worth the few extra bucks! read more

This is by far the best pho spot I've been to in this area and I've tried so many of them, including pho 75. It's in the same area as Brewsters and the floor & decor store. I came here on New Year's Day (bc honestly what's better on a cold day) and it was packed inside. I ordered shrimp spring rolls and a beef pho and man. I was so sad when I got to the bottom of the bowl. It's also reasonably priced (about $15 for a large). I've been recommending this place to everyone I know. I know this will become my new go to spot for pho around here. read more

Come for the pho, stay for the robots! Friendly, clean with lots of food options. Love the Rockville location so happy to have them up here as well. It's a big improvement over the last Pho place in this location. They really put a lot into the rebuild. read more

We have a favorite pho restaurant, lace yet high Yelp reviews caught our interest in this place. Turns out, based on our one lunch experience Pho Nom Nom deserves its rating. Food P-11 Tai small bowl (see photo) was wholesome. Good broth, generous beef. Took half home. F-S1a Bo bab, cha cua small bowl (see photo): A new to me dish. Hearty and flavorful. Rice noodles recommended by staff - good choice. Photo shows an unlisted tendon bonus ingredient. Finished every bit. A-10 Appetizer Sampler. As it was our first visit, we were wanted a broad tasting. Mostly hot fried items and a cold shrimp and beef roll (read menu online for details), yet we liked them all. So, we've not eliminated any from consideration next time. The photo shows the plate AFTER some pieces were already consumed. Sigh. Water - no charge. Service We experienced three servers: of which one was a self-driving tray set (robot). Though one of the human servers seemed to be learning, the other ensured we were never neglected. A server packed up our leftovers neatly. Ambiance Clean, comfortable, quiet, lots of seating, lots of parking in front. Some takeout and some table-served diners present. Did not visit the rest room. Overall, a top-notch Vietnamese place. We'll be back. read more

10.19.23 This is their second location. Their original is on Rockville Pike. Food: -Pork egg rolls (A1) - crispy wrapper, but bland on its own. Fish sauce gave it more flavor. -broken rice (rice with fractured rice grains) with pork chop, shredded pork and choice of egg (G3) - It wasn't broken rather just jasmine rice so right off the bat I was disappointed. This entree came with the choice of an egg cake or a sunny side up cake. I asked for both so was charged an additional $2.50. Pork chop was bland too, but good with the fish sauce. Everything else was very good. The employee asked if I wanted pork rind and scallions and that elevated the dish. So yummy! -grilled pork sub (BM3) - I ordered two for carryout for my hubby and I to have for dinner. There wasn't a lot of filling (meat and veggies), but the roll was hearty. I thought it was good, but my hubby didn't like the flavor. Beverage -Vietnamese cold iced coffee (with condensed milk) - I would have preferred it to be sweeter. They offer the choice of two sizes, small or large. Menu: Aside from pho, they offer special soups, rice and vermicelli dishes, and Vietnamese sandwiches. They also offer more variety for beverages than other pho restaurants. Service: -Assuming the male servers (possibly owner and employee) who took our order and served us were very hospitable, funny, and friendly. The downside was they were inattentive. My friend asked for no onions in her soup and she got them. For my entree, they forgot my egg cake. Also I had asked for the veggies (pickled daikon and carrots, and cucumber) on my sub to be separated from my sub, but they put it on there. I suggest repeating special instructions and confirm your order is accurate before eating. Decor/Ambiance: -Nice photos and paintings on the walls. -Robot brings food out to tables. I can see why this place is so popular. It's some of the best pho around. The broth tasted fresh, clean, and flavorful. The meat was a good cut and the staff is very friendly. They have a little robot that comes to serve you your food and then says enjoy your meal and finds it's way back to the kitchen Don't be alarmed by how sketch the shopping center looks, the restaurant looks nice on the inside. read more

This is the best pho spot around (I come from Frederick to get this). Customer service is always top notch and the food comes out quick being carried by a robot server. The portions are large and it's very affordable. This is a must try if you're in the area looking for Pho. They also have a location in Rockville, but I like this one better due to the ample parking available. read more
