I want to start my review by talking about the stellar customer service experience I received while…read morevisiting Kin's for the first time. The young lady up front was very welcoming and provided amazing service! This place has been so popular on social media and they are known for their matcha specials. If you follow them on instagram they post their daily specials and provide great updates of their inventory and wait times (a genius idea may I add). My personal favorites were the matcha einspanner and their strawberry matcha latte. For mochi donuts I especially enjoyed their lemon blueberry ricotta and brown butter turon specials. Inside they have nice seating and some stools but it gets very busy so the seating area can fill up. They also provide umbrellas if there is a long line and a hot sun outside. I highly recommend this place so be sure to check it out!

We got the regular matcha latte and the strawberry matcha latte which were both delicious and had lots of matcha in it which we appreciated. We also liked that the drinks weren't too sweet. We also tried the mochi donuts, mango cheesecake was good but Thai tea Oreo was weird. Ube muffin was decent but overpriced for the size. Wish we could've tried the brioche but they don't sell them until noon. Overall solid spot for matcha and pastries!

Personally, I'm partial to the Goleta location since it offers a small breakfast and lunch menu My go-tos are the Spring Greens Sandwich, Trout Toast, and the Farmer's Market Frittata, which always feels fresh and seasonal. I'm also mildly obsessed with their Olive Rosemary Focaccia and the jalapeño basil cashew spread. Honestly, I'd put that spread on just about anything. Service is counter style with friendly staff, and there's a beautiful glass case showcasing the day's dishes and fresh breads. I love a good visual moment when deciding what to order, and this place definitely delivers. Just note that popular items can sell out, so going earlier is better. Their bread menu changes depending on the season and produce availability, which keeps things interesting. You'll also find gluten-free options, sweets, and dry goods if you want to take a little something home. The patio is cute and sun-filled, perfect for lingering with coffee and a pastry. Parking is street parking only, but on weekdays there's usually ample neighborhood parking nearby. Just note they're closed Sundays and Mondays, so plan your carb pilgrimage accordingly.

I ordered the fruit loops, animal cracker, and chocolate chip pillow. Service was great and very friendly. Inside there is not much seating unless you arrive early as there are lots of college students inside but I wanted my donuts to go so it worked out. My favorite was animal cracker and chocolate chip pillow. Not overly sweet or too much chocolate flavor overpowering. I also ordered a hot cocoa and a strawberry matcha. The hot cocoa was delicious. The strawberry matcha I would pass on because the milk overpowered the matcha and the strawberry flavor was lacking as well. Highly recommend the donuts!

The basics are all there but they have so many speciality donuts and I wanted to try them all! Creme brûlée, spring themed donuts of various shapes and flavors, and other delicious concoctions. Since I was meeting up with family, I didn't hesitate to buy a dozen and have a donut tasting with the fam. Favorites - creme brulee donut, Boston creme (vanilla donut with creme inside and chocolate frosting), spring "nest" with coconut and creme inside, and the glazed twist (simple but light and fluffy with a vanilla touched glaze). Also, grabbed a coffee and it was good. Need to buy a bag to take home next time.
