This place is great! This a locally owned donut shop that is absolutely amazing!! Everything is made fresh. You have coffee and sandwich options as well. There are plenty of donut options to choose from. The crumb and jelly donut are fantastic!! Everyone is super nice and friendly. The shop is great too. Super clean and easy to navigate. It is located in a nice area and there is plenty of parking.

Small shop in a shared shopping area with parking. Lots to donut and croissant offerings! Everything looked delicious. Large portion sizes on the croissant. Reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Cash preferred or pay a fee to use your credit card. Several tables inside to sit at or a popular to-go option. Coffee options too. Overall worth checking out!

Found this little bagel shop near our hotel which was super convenient! My friend and I split this bagel and I really liked it as I've never tried this kind of bagel before. The price was pretty good too. The only problem was the lines to order/pick up were a bit disorganized and there was a bit of a wait time to get the food. I believe it is family owned though so I appreciated their work and time.

Loved their bagels! This was my first time in Santa Barbara and I am so glad I found this place. The bagel was light, crispy, and savory and there wasn't too long of a line when we went. Parking lot is a bit small but at the time we went it wasn't that big of an issue.

Exceptional! We were greeted and service right away. I ordered the jalapeño bagel with cream cheese, and it was SO yummy. Definitely wish I had a spot like this in Palm Springs. Plenty of breakfast options, drinks, and seating for everyone. The inside seems like a 90s diner with the neon lights. You can tell this business is ran by a loving and hardworking family. Thank you!!!

Great service and great food! Came here during a trip to Santa Barbara and had a all seed bagel with log and came with scallion, tomatoes, and capers. Also god a egg bacon and cheese croissant. Everything was made to order and so delicious and filling I wish I lived nearby I'd come here all the time!

The real deal donut shop! Smitten immediately by all the hot coffee pots greeting you upon arrival , the kind you see at diners, and all the glazed donut rings in a row. That did it for me. Love it. Absolutely love it. I see all these reviews for savory sounding food here, something I would never consider or expect at a donut shop. Donuts. Coffee. What else do you need?!! But that's cool. Just don't count on me reviewing any of the other stuff, of which there is a lot of choices for beverages, etc. I just will always have a good coffee and a good donut here. And I feel and sense I can count on that here. Two tables outside. Perfect for conversation, settling into a good book, or writing your novel. Seems like a perfect spot for this kind of thing. Something about those little round tables in a narrow garden space in a funky shopping center crammed with cars, so Southern California style. Sugar, caffeine, inspiration. Happy times here. Straightforward hours: 5-5 everyday.

Holy crap!! Amazing in-house made everything. Maybe they don't grow their own coffee beans in the backyard...but I wouldn't doubt it if they did. Best bagel sandwiches hands down. Great donuts. Friendly service and local vibe to the max. Will definitely visit again in May when we are back in SB for Khrungbin concert.

This bagel shop operates in a single room looking house, it's very quaint and decorated very cozily inside. They have a bathroom for customers and plenty of outdoor seating, as the inside of the restaurant is on the smaller side. The bagels here are incredible! Very soft and pillowy textures with lots of flavor. I love the unique flavors for both the bagels and the cream cheeses. It was so fun and delicious getting to try them. Ikura - 10/5, the soy sauce-cured ikura was some of the best I've ever had! It paired so well with the tobiko cream cheese and furikake bagel. The pickled onions were a great touch. I love this flavor combination, it was an umami bomb! Heirloom tomato - 5/5, paired this with the garlic herb cream cheese and jalapeño cheddar bagel. This is such a classic summer seasonal bagel, and I loved the chives on top of the heirloom tomatoes. Very delicate and delicious flavors. Lox - 3/5, a decent lox bagel but underwhelming in comparison to the other options and flavors available. The gravlax lacked flavor, and I felt like it was undersalted during the curing process. Pinoy Palmer- 5/5, a delicious mango iced tea with calamansi juice. I thought this was a fun Filipino twist on the drink. I would have liked a bit more calamansi juice to make it brighter and sweeter, but it was still definitely tasty! Caramelized banana latte - 5/5, delicious sweet coffee with a hint of banana flavor. I personally love banana so I wouldn't mind it being stronger, but this way anyone can its subtlety.

The smoked salmon was silky and rich, paired perfectly with the capers, pickled onions, and fresh dill. The cucumber bagel was light, crisp, and refreshing with a generous layer of creamy spread that tied everything together. A little too much spread for me though. I had to take some off. The service was warm, welcoming, and efficient. The staff was friendly, happy to answer questions, and made the experience feel relaxed despite the shop being busy. The ambiance was simple, bright, and cozy with a clean, modern aesthetic that makes it a great spot to enjoy a slow breakfast or coffee. Also had seats outside. If you're looking for fresh, thoughtfully crafted bagels, Mother Dough is definitely worth the visit. I'll absolutely be back to try more of the menu.

If that's your vibe, go there. I was just looking for a classic bacon, egg, and cheese, so luckily we found Jack's. When you walk in, it feels just like an old school neighborhood donut shop, except they're serving bagels and coffee. My bacon, egg, and cheese was delicious. I ordered it on a jalapeño cheddar bagel and it hit the spot. For a $7 bagel, this was fantastic. Filling, flavorful, and the schmear was on point. My wife, on the other hand, ordered the bagel and lox. This was a bit of a letdown. The cream cheese was delicious and the sesame bagel itself was great, but it was definitely lacking the lox. Truthfully, it felt more like a cream cheese bagel with just a little bit of salmon. That said, considering the price, it honestly makes sense. Not trying to take anything away from the place because overall it was great. The service was super friendly, attentive, and just easygoing. You could definitely tell they have regulars who come in every day because it felt like one big family in there. Last but not least, the black coffee was surprisingly fresh and bold. Nothing fancy, just a really solid cup of coffee. Would I come here again? Definitely. Anytime I'm in Santa Barbara, I'd happily stop by again.

We tried multiple other places that didn't have outdoor seating (so not dog friendly), but then we found Caje on State Street. Granted it was a hot day, but this store was really really hot inside, like unpleasantly so. I felt bad for the barista! The coffee is reasonably priced, all things considered (fancy flavors, Santa Barbara, crowded location) and the flavor was nice and not one I've personally had before. I asked to go light on the ice and they did a good job there. The wait was a bit long, but we weren't in a hurry, so it was all fine. Good place to stop and relax and have a good tasting coffee.
