Super High Expectations but bummer, super low experience. Love the Public Market and have anticipated and been psyched about Lily's arrival for some tine now. So, yippee, they are open and very close to the Victoria street entrance. Delighted by their pretty donut display, their pure ingredients, gluten free options that actually look yummy, and an extensive and refreshingly unique beverage menu. How to choose?!?! Yet all giddiness petered out by the dull employee and no cash payment option. Happy bubbly engaging people please to match your peppy layout and donuts. And these are donuts. Reasonable donuts. Donuts shops should accept cash.

Support local! This business just opened in the eatery two months ago and they're not only talented and beautiful looking, their donuts are amazing!!!!! They're perfect for events like weddings, corporate parties, birthday's and just a dozen just because! They change out their donuts and rotate them out often but their donuts are very outlandishly decorated in a great way and carefully curated. I got the old fashion and they sprayed some 0% whiskey on top and even added a cherry on a toothpick and an orange peel! Thanks for having donuts and cake donuts! https://www.lilysdonutsandpops.com/pages/locations

Lemon Meringue was one of my favorites

What a find at the Public Market! Love these donuts. From the crème brûlée to the original, all were eaten and all were magnificent. I loved the light and fluffy crème in the brûlée. The maple was a real surprise, it looked like a standard donut but it was brioche and just the right amount of sweet and deliciousness. So I ordered them all and I can go on... my fav for the day, if I went back, the maple and the lemon meringue... don't get me wrong I'd eat them all but my tummy is only so big, so I'd go with these two. Also, coffee is legit If you are in town this is your spot!

Epic donuts in the SB Market (food court). Great place to go with a variety of offerings in the building. These donuts are amazing...Key Lime Pie and Pistachio stood out... definitely try those! Coffee and tea available as well. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices. Overall highly recommend if you are looking for some tasty treats!

Such a wonderful experience ordering such beautiful-looking donuts. Sarine assisted me and was very informative and thorough with what was being offered. My favorites were the pistachio, the cinnamon roll, and the original, although it seems like you can't go wrong with any flavor!

Located in the public market, donuts with various flavor concoctions as well as some of the strongest cold brew I have tasted! The cold brew will definitely wake you up. They have a variety of other drinks as well such as matchas other coffee drinks and lemonades. The donuts, there are savory and the usual sweet versions. They are a little more sweet and you can definitely share. The favorite so far a has been the espresso martini and the raspberry lemon. They were extremely friendly and were very informative on the different drinks that they have. Definitively will be going back.

The Moo hawk mentioned a new donut shop opening in th public market so I wanted to try it out. When I arrived they were bringing in the donuts. The blueberry donut had real blueberries and blueberry glaze, but the dough was unfortunately not blueberry flavored. I have lazy taste buds so when you bite into a piece that has blueberries, it tastes good, but if you get a piece with out it, it's just a plain donut. The pistachio cream wasn't bad. The iced americano was too light for me, but the wife's cold brew has bright flavor notes (I still prefer Starbucks coco notes in their cold brew). Service here was good. They were fast and it was morning so not many people yet. The sitting area had beach vibes, so we ate near the shop

Really polite counter person which is always a plus in my book. Donuts were soft and rich without being overly heavy. Fresh fruit and ingredients can be tasted. If I wasn't on a diet I'd frequent more often.

The service is exceptional always friendly and remembers us. The donuts are fresh and delicious extremely tasty. We had the madmen, the blueberry which is to die for, breakfast sandwich with the best bacon I have ever had and the creme brulee which was a masterpiece.

I was expecting donuts and was happily surprised with what I received. They were like custom ordered cakes. You have to try them

From getting in line to receiving our entire order, it took about 15 minutes total. Parking is easy with a large plaza lot, although seating inside can be tougher. It was completely full when we arrived, but we got lucky and snagged a table as someone was leaving. We ordered the Osmanthus Matcha Cream, Hojicha Black Sesame, Pandan Coconut Matcha, Vietnamese Coffee, Cinnamon Sugar Mochi Donut, and Buko Pie Mochi Donut. They also served us complimentary barley tea when ordering. Everything was delicious and absolutely lived up to the hype! The Osmanthus Matcha Cream was easily the biggest surprise and highlight for us. It was creamy while somehow still tasting light and refreshing, and we've honestly never had anything quite like it. It's made in limited quantities and sold out just a few minutes after we ordered, so I'd definitely recommend getting it early if it's available. The Hojicha Black Sesame was another standout. I've tried this combination at a few other cafes, but Kin does it better than any version I've had. Both flavors came through really well without either overpowering the other. The Pandan Coconut Matcha was also great, although I've had similar drinks at quite a few cafes throughout California, so it was harder for this one to stand out as much. The Vietnamese Coffee was solid too, but a little sweet for my preference. Personally, I think their tea-based drinks are much more memorable. Their mochi donuts were incredible too and easily some of the best I've had. Both were SO soft with that slightly bouncy mochi texture. I especially loved the Cinnamon Sugar Mochi Donut because it genuinely tasted like a churro in mochi donut form. Service was amazing throughout our visit, and I also love that the menu is projected onto the wall and updated as items sell out. Overall, Kin Bakeshop absolutely lived up to the hype for me. There are already so many other things I want to try, and I'm definitely looking forward to coming back!

We had a tough time finding a place to hang out and kill time in Santa Barbara waiting out traffic…read morebefore continuing on to LA. We tried multiple other places that didn't have outdoor seating (so not dog friendly), but then we found Caje on State Street. It's on a protected set of streets where there are lots of shops and stores. There's common outdoor seating just outside the store, which met our objective of hanging out with the dog. Granted it was a hot day, but this store was really really hot inside, like unpleasantly so. I felt bad for the barista! The coffee is reasonably priced, all things considered (fancy flavors, Santa Barbara, crowded location) and the flavor was nice and not one I've personally had before. I asked to go light on the ice and they did a good job there. The wait was a bit long, but we weren't in a hurry, so it was all fine. Good place to stop and relax and have a good tasting coffee.

We stopped here during our road trip, excited to finally try the Bella Rose Matcha after seeing all…read morethe dreamy promo photos-rose petals, a fresh strawberry, elegant glassware, the full aesthetic. What I got instead? A plastic to-go cup with iced matcha and a sprinkle of beet powder. No rose petals. No strawberry. No presentation. (See attached.) When I asked where the rose petals were, the barista seemed visibly annoyed and just said they had "run out." No apology, no heads-up at the time of ordering. I mentioned the drink didn't look anything like the photos, and he responded that this location only does to-go orders and doesn't serve anything the way it's advertised. Nowhere on the menu or website does it say that-which honestly feels deceptive. To make things worse, while we waited, two of the barista's friends came by and hovered near the counter like they were customers, but it was clear they hadn't actually ordered anything. Normally, I wouldn't care, but it was already taking 10-15 minutes to get our drinks and he seemed fully caught up chatting with them while preparing orders. I get that they probably had a crazy morning rush (it seemed never-ending), but in that moment he seemed distracted and disengaged and when he announced our drinks and I asked about the missing rose petals, it felt dismissive and unprofessional. My sister ordered a vanilla latte that had a cute heart in the foam, and my mom got a chai latte with cinnamon around the rim-it looked and smelled amazing. They both got everything bagels; my sister's had roasted veggies on it. I got a blueberry muffin, which was solid. The female staff were genuinely sweet and welcoming, so props to them for keeping a warm vibe going despite the chaos. The real letdown was the atmosphere. There was nowhere clean to sit. The only usable table was in the mall corridor, and I had to lay down napkins over a fresh puddle of dog pee just to sit. Every other table was dirty or taken. We were traveling with our pup and just wanted a calm, decent breakfast before another long drive, and this was not the vibe. The drinks and food tasted fine, but the whole experience felt scattered, unwelcoming, and nothing like what's advertised online. If you're coming for the aesthetic or a relaxing café moment, don't go to this location.
