This is pretty much your standard donut shop, but they do have a nice variety of donuts and they are good. I thought the prices were a little high for what they offer, but in all fairness, I would expect that in Carpinteria. The place is located out at the end of a large strip mall, so there is ample parking available.

In & out in no time. Server greeted my family as soon as we entered. The menu is fresh and display case fully stocked.

Decent selection of donuts, though some picked over by 9:30 am so it's been a busy place! Can't fault them for that. I got a puff donut which I'm not really crazy about and it was stellar, but the old fashioned chocolate dip fry cake... *chefs kiss* So good.

All about the corn flan!!! 5 stars!! It's the only reason why I go in. I often tell them it's amazing and the staff puts a cordial smile that is very telling. They've heard this praise many many times and they know it's good. It's perfectly baked dark caramel in color, no crust, bits of whole corn kernels in the soft textured creamy corn filling. It's a dreamy mouth feel. The sweetness is spot on. You may feel a bit on the fence whether it's savory or sweet. It's right in the middle and that's why it works.

Wonderful experience with fresh, tasty doughnuts. What more could you ask for? My dad got these for us the morning after my sister's wedding and they were a yummy treat and great price. They are located in a very convenient location as well. Thank you!

I really love the rosca de reyes, the best of Carpinteria , and a very friendly service.

I provided skewers and Tyler's donuts arranged donut holes on them for my baby shower. They turned out so nice and delicious. Very fast and affordable, too! Will be ordering from them again for my next special occasion.

The outdoor seating was super cute with little steel tables and chairs, plus plenty of umbrellas for anyone sensitive to the sun. The menu was simple but had vegetarian options, and they also had a case full of bakery goodies that looked delicious. I ordered the white mocha decaf with oat milk and a breakfast sandwich -- both were really good! There wasn't too much interaction with the staff, but they kept the line moving and got the food out quickly. Overall, a great location within walking distance to shops and gardens that we enjoyed strolling through after breakfast. Definitely worth stopping by!

My parents are older and get cold easily, so we sat next to the fire pit. It turns off suddenly and we request it to please be turned back on as it's overcast and barely noon, and a waitress who hasn't been near us in 20 minutes says she smelled gas just now and had to turn it off. Translation: cheap management saw the sun coming out and wanted to save money. There was no gas smell. So classless. Even when we mentioned it again and asked, the glazed-eyes looking girl gave a slight remix of her "unfortunately umm due to me umm smelling gas umm we are not able to turn it back onnnnn." Is everyone who works here on meds or something? Coffee was terrible and watered-down, and simple premade sandwiches took 20 minutes to heat in a panini press and bring out. Food was very mediocre and my "poached" egg was basically hard boiled. The food tastes much better when you order online, probably because they actually know you have a set time limit to pick it up so they make it fresh and with effort. They just dgaf if you're seated, I guess. Just go to Lucky Llama guys.

His didn't arrive until about 10-15 minutes later, and they forgot the bagel entirely. The server dropped the food off and disappeared. His potatoes were completely raw, the food was barely warm, and the corned beef hash had zero crisp to it. He took one bite and spit it out. We sat there waiting forever just to tell someone because no server ever checked back. Eventually another employee dropped off the missing bagel and immediately ran off again. My husband finally had to walk inside himself to tell them the food was cold and undercooked. A few minutes later they brought the same plate back out, clearly just microwaved. The eggs were now rubber, the hash was still awful, and the potatoes were still terrible. He went back inside a second time and told them to forget it and just charge us for the bagel, coffee, and my breakfast. Even getting the check took another 20 minutes. What's most frustrating is that nobody seemed to care. No apology, no urgency, no effort to fix anything properly. My breakfast was mediocre at best. The eggs and bacon were fine, but the French toast was cold and looked like plain toast, and they covered the potatoes in cheese without mentioning it. After reading other recent reviews, it's clear this wasn't just a one-off bad day. The common theme seems to be cold food, long waits, inattentive service, and management/staff who simply don't care. This place is overpriced, overrated, and unfortunately living off its past reputation. Maybe just stick with bagels.
