For our monthly house dinner, we stumbled upon Uniboil and were knocked out of the park! Their vermicelli was absolutely delicious when paired with the spicy broth and beef! It also my first time having lotus fruit and now it's a must have for any broth/hot pot! It was a very relaxing restaurant to enjoy conversations with friends! It was incredibly easy to order food using their QR code menu on the table and the servers were very attentive if someone needed a refill on water or if we needed extra utensils! I'm looking forward to the rainy season when I can really leverage their Hong Kong-style hot pot!

Food was good and staff was kind. Would come back and get the angus beef boil again. Characters

Small shop located on the corner. There's a lot of construction going on right now along the streets so the entrance into the parking lot was a tad bit hard to find. There was only like one server for the entire place so service was a tad bit slow, but understandable. They have pretty good portions for the price and flavor was rich but nothing too special. - T1. Besides not getting greeted for the first 8 minutes when we got there, service was good. We were the only patrons there when we came during a week day at the beginning of our visit. You order from a QR code on the table with your phone. Because I was having bad reception for some reason, I couldn't get the QR code to load the website quickly. After a few tries, I finally ordered successfully. Nonetheless, afer we ordered, from then on, the service got better. I ordered the seafood noodle soup with vermicelli and my son got the popcorn chicken bento. I really liked my boiling seafood soup a lot! I ate all of it while I was there.

A decent hot pot place. Not the best but decent. There's was a lot of chicken in the hot pot. I wished they would have added for vegetables to balance it out. You order and pay through your phone. Very easy self-service. Perfect place if you don't want to interact with anyone and just want to eat.

It was a rather cool day so we decided to find some soup and found this place. We ordered the Korean Army stew, Tomato beef stew, and Beef noodle soup. They were all very tasty and delicious. We asked to have the fire turned off because the hot pot gets too hot for us. We also ordered some Pork Katsu as an appetizer as well and It was cooked perfectly and very crispy. Their drinks were very good also. We ordered a Thai tea with boba and Matcha latte. Both drinks were very good and the boba was soft and chewy. The restaurant is very clean, many tables inside, and menu is a QR code. You order online and ring a table button for service. Staff was attentive and helpful. We'll be back when we are craving some good hot pot soup. Happy Nom Nom!

I enjoyed coming here! There's a wide range of items on the menu: baked rice (which might be Cantonese), budae jjigae (Korean) and other soup noodles, hot pots (which I didn't get), popcorn chicken and boba (Taiwanese), and fried spam musubi You order online, and there's a button to ring for service. Here are some comments on a few dishes: Boba: The dirty latte is just brown sugar syrup with milk. I didn't realize that before ordering. Popcorn chicken: This was the highlight for me! Really even frying, and flavorful.

I finally tried this restaurant after knowing it's been around for years! The food was really good and it would be great to come back on a cold winter day. We ordered the fried spam musubi, black pepper beef baked rice, and szechuan pepper noodle. We were a fan of the fried spam musubi. Very crispy and flavorful! The beef baked rice was probably the tastiest dish. Never had an asian rice dish with cheese on top and I have no complaints! Probably my fave dish out of everything we got. The szechuan noodle was very tasty, just a bit salty. Definitely got that szechuan tingle! The restaurant was empty when we came for dinner on a Sunday. We were greeted by a worker, but had to order from a qr code. I have no problem not having a waiter, but it felt like no one was there. I think they tend to the neighboring boba place more. Feels a little hostile in there, but the food came out fairly quick and was very yummy!

4.3 Yummie personal hot pots. Some of the spicy ones a bit hot for me but the chicken stock and tum yum were just right. Vermicelli were uniquely thick. Connected to a boba place next door that looked good.

Absolutely delicious meal! Had the Korean Army Stew (pictured) and the Korean Cheese Diced Beef. They are also a boba drink shop and the hot honey citrus tea was excellent.

It's a quiet little escape that would be perfection on a chilly day, but was equally satisfying as a spontaneous lunch on a random weekday. The staff was friendly and helpful enough to walk me through their process and selections, and the delicious and affordable "popcorn chicken" appetizer and the Korean army stew hit the spot AND left me with enough food for two more days! There was a lot of sodium involved, but it didn't feel salty, and I REALLY want to try some more of their MANY options. I love finding unexpected gems.

We sat outside with our dog, we ate amazing personal hot pots, and everything was delicious! Is it normal hot pot? No, and part of what I love about hot pot is that it's a communal, social event. But what I love about Uniboil is that we get to try two types of soups and I don't have FOMO because we only get one broth. I got the regular beef and bok choy, and he got the spicy Korean army stew. I'd skip the musubi and spring rolls - not because they aren't delicious, but because there is SO MUCH FOOD. Honestly, ONE hot pot could have been enough. I did not get any boba, but was severely tempted. The soups are literally boiling and the add-ins are worth the upcharge - there are a ton! Parking is easy, service is good. Even though they close at 8:30, someone was still seated at 8:15 and served with a smile. We had no idea what to eat, and are very glad we found this place.

We came as a party of 3 on a Saturday afternoon when they opened around 11:30am! We got seated immediately since we were the first ones there lol and you have to scan the QR code on the table to view the menu and you order your food through the code as well. I ordered the Spicy Tom Yum soup with a side of vermicelli noodles, it was about ~ $20? It came with a good amount of meat and fish balls, however the broth really lacked a lotttt of flavor. I was kind of upset about it because I loveeeee Tom yum soup! My mom and brother got the stir fry with udon noodles and they enjoyed their meal. This place was "mid" as people call it now a days lol, I've had better!

Food variety is great, but definitely recommend dine-in instead of delivery whenever in-person is a possible option.

We let the group pass us and entered the restaurant. We were promptly seated at a corner table and given menus. It did take a bit for the server to come back to take our order, but we did realize we came in 1/2 hour before closing, so we eased off a bit. My partner order the hot pot and was very happy with his choice. The server came back with a hot plate and instructed us how to cook the meat. I was a bit apprehensive about having to cook my own food, but the fragrant smell as it cooked changed my mind. The broth was flavorful and the veg and meat were tender as they soaked up the soupy goodness. I also ordered the boa buns and the pillowy texture, mixed with the soft pork and crunchy cucumber and carrots made my belly sing. We slurped up our food and cleared out as quickly as we could. I hate being that person that lingers at closing time. What I do regret is that I did not take more time at their counter as we exited because it was full of snacks and curios that I love. Next time for sure!

We had noticed the restaurant a few times before, after stopping for gasoline at the corner station directly across from Meet Up Chinese Cuisine. We had intended to stop by long ago. No more waiting. Last night, we made it happen. Ample parking is on site, and another perk in a city with a shortage of this feature. They also maintain later operating hours than most SB restaurants, another HUGE plus in a city which seemingly shutters before sundown. The restaurant interior is bright, airy fresh, clean and inviting. The two large robotic table attendants wore white attire with cheerful red aprons. They exude a special kind of whimsy and add another level of delight rarely experienced in dining. These capable assistants greet you at the front desk, and proved a novel and intriguing welcome (especially in today's landscape of our ever-increasing AI functionality). The adorable stuffed pandas are a great addition as well. The vividly colorful and impactful tile tapestry behind the entrance doors is a spectacular selfie spot and work of art. It sets the tone for "Meet Up Chinese Cuisine" ~ and is telltale of the effort and authenticity invested in everything they do. There is a live stage off the central dining room - where band equipment quietly awaits to spring to life and provide additional enjoyment to an already beautiful dining and seating arrangement. We were greeted by a kind and polite woman who was working at a nearby table as we entered. She promptly and warmly greeted us, and patiently assisted us in placing our order. This included an item not located on the menu, which my husband loosely described. (THANK YOU!). We were invited to wait comfortably in the dining room while the order was prepared. The scents emanating from the nearby kitchen were heavenly, and so enticingly to our already eager appetites! We placed an order which included three mains and a large soup. It was prepared accordingly to order, and in due time. Bagged and carefully carried to our table, where two young male attendants used the receipt to double-check the contents and asked if we needed any condiments or items. Exceptionally attentive and aware team in this eatery. We were truly excited to get it home and dig-in. Before I describe the dishes, I cannot PRAISE this next feature enough. I've never seen it before, and it is a game changer for take-out (especially saucy dishes and soups)! Once home we carefully unbagged the items...anticipating some leaks and spillage (as we transported it in the cargo attachment on the back of a Motorcycle! Not a DROP!! I carefully removed the plastic lid from the Pork (soft noodle) lo mein with vegetables. Over the TOP of this container, and UNDER the plastic sealing top lid -- we found "SARAN WRAP" which cleverly sealed itself utilizing the heat reaction caused by the HOT food (hence the term: shrink wrap). I was stunned, in a giddy excited manner! I carefully and easily removed the Saran Wrap to a beautiful burst of FRAGRANT steam and delectable noodles with an abundance of meat and FLAVOR! Every bite was flavor-packed and the meat was "melt in your mouth" tender. The temperature was MOST notable. It was as HOT as if the dish had just finished cooking in the kitchen. Splendid! Each subsequent dish (ie: moo goo gai pan, spicy beef with select peppers and veg, hot and sour soup, and the BEST steamed rice) were literally some of the most authentic, flavorful, and delicious Chinese fare we have ever enjoyed. In the top "5" for sure. "CRAZY - GOOD." The kind which lingers pleasantly on your palate and maintains a solid place in your memory vault! For a little tucked away haven, "Meet Up" surprised us in the BEST of WAYS, and now we have a solid genuine gem to enjoy whenever the urge for the ULTIMATE CHINESE FARE hits. Pricing is affordable, with generous portions for the prices paid. Even the steamed RICE is complimentary and provided WITH the dishes (where most in our city seem to charge as ala carte nowadays). There is no skimping here on the rice either (or any dish), and the fresh, tasty, superior locally sourced ingredients shine through in every single bite. Thank you to all who helped us last evening. You represent the very BEST in restaurant hospitality and food service. Santa Barbara is blessed to have you amongst our ever-changing restaurant culture. We became loyal patrons the moment you extended such grace, kindness, and professionalism as we held the menu and discussed options and selections at the register. We are grateful, and appreciate you and your five-star staff, food, and memorable restaurant. Beyond exemplary all the way around. Bravissimo!
