Order and pick up area

Great spot for some good tea and boba drinks. Tried the peach fruit tea, 50% sugar and regular ice, and it was very refreshing. It was still a little sweet, so probably gonna try 30% sugar next time. It was very clean and spacious inside with simple decor. Plenty of tables and seating inside. Service was fast and efficient. You place your order on one of their kiosks and they call out your order# when ready. We'll be coming back to try some other drinks. Happy Nom Nom!

Sometimes this place is a hit or miss. Reason being is that sometimes the tea could be watered down if they don't give it time to cool off. The service here is ok mainly because you hardly interact with the servers because you have to order on the kiosk. It's also kind of dark in here because they just use the natural lighting from outside, and bathrooms are also out of order.

Mango Pomelo Sago (caffeine free & non-dairy)

HOCHAYA . a sole review on their mango pomelo sago. i've been to yi fang plenty of times and their mango pomelo sago is my absolute FAV. the one closest to me closed and i've been looking for this drink since. HONESTLY close enough !!! more on the sweet side compared to the yi fang version, but unique and so so delicious. one of the best parts of our santa barbara trip as we enjoyed the drink and each other's company ofc :) service: standard ,, they just have kiosks environment: modern i like the concrete look would come back the next time we're in this area esp for that mango pomelo saGOooooo

Ordered a grass jelly with boba milk tea. I like that we can order and customize our drink with ice & sugar levels. Staff were friendly. This is located next to the Smart & Final. Nice plaza with other retail shops.

Made a quick trip to pick up boba after spending the day in Santa Barbara. Hochaya is close to the freeway and pretty close to a few shops and restaurants here in Goleta. There's plenty of seats outside, and honestly if I wasn't in a rush home, I would've sat outside and enjoy the weather. The store is pretty and big. When you walk in, you're immediately greeted by their staff who are very kind and welcoming. You are able to order via their two kiosks (this is card/ tap only) and can order at their register (cash only). OKAY THE DRINKS: Their drinks are pretty good!! The two drinks I bought were both tasty and refreshing- I think I liked the Lychee tea a little more than the Wintermelon Lemon to be honest. I also saw that they only had brown sugar boba after 4pm, so if you're wanting to try their brown sugar boba- make sure to come after 4pm!

Passion Fruit Green Tea

We ordered online and got to pick up our drinks really fast. We tried the Thai Milk Tea, Kyoto Uji Matcha Latte, Hochaya Fruit Tea, Passion Fruit Green Tea, and Butterfly Pea Lemonade. While the experience at the store was nice (friendly and helpful staff) some drinks were disappointing. The best drink we tried was the Hochaya Fruit Tea. It was flavorful and sweet. We ordered with 30% sweetness which we found to be perfect for this drink. T The most disappointing drink we tried was the Kyoto Uji Matcha Latte. It was an average tasting matcha latte. We thought it was not enough matcha for the amount of milk the drink had. We could've added more sugar to the rest of the drinks since we did 30%. Overall it was a nice place to visit but would not be out first choice for drinks (especially matcha).

When you walk into this cute tea house there is a large counter with brightly lit menu board above. There are 2 kiosks to order at (English, Spanish and Chinese) and then they call your number and you get your drink at the counter. It is very clean and you don't have to talk to anyone! (Except hopefully to say thank you!) We ordered the Sea Salt Cheese Foam Green Tea and the Butterfly Pea lemonade (caffeine free). They were very different but very good! There is one size and I would say it's a med/large for $6-9 (depending on add-one) so it's a good price for a boba place. I would recommend stopping by and grabbing a drink!

Pineapple Green Tea and Thai Milk Tea

great price for the size of the drinks! was $6 and change for like 20oz of crazy good tea with soft and fresh boba. i love that you can customize the amount of sugar by %. both the milk tea and probiotic tea were super yum. the staff was helpful and kind which was much appreciated.

Fresh Taro Milk Tea (non-dairy)

Some of the best boba that I have had! The only downside not many flavors to choose. They give you the option to choose the amount of sweetness and boba as well as ice. The taro is delicious but be aware it's the actual root and pure. You order at a kiosks and the order comes to you pretty quickly. The service is pretty prompt and are friendly. They also have brown sugar options to drink. They have non dairy options which is a plus.

I've been here since many times for the past 2 years idk why I'm barely making a review but I love this place. Both owners (wife and husband) are extremely kind and bring good energy. The building is very cute and modern, but most importantly their drinks are amazing and priced at a fair price. Their Boba is always cooked perfectly and I like how its smaller a than most boba shops I've been to, they also give good proportions.

Oolong Tea with Milk & Oolong Tea Jelly

A good boba option while driving down the PCH. This stop is right in between Gaviota and Santa Barbara on Highway 1/the 101 Freeway. Also a 30 min drive away from Solvang. Perfect spot for a boba craving mid-road trip! I got the Oolong Tea with Milk, which was decent. More milk than tea. However, I got this drink with the Oolong Tea Jelly and it was a game changer! so much flavor from the jelly. It gave the drink much more depth. Even my boyfriend (who doesn't drink too much boba) really enjoyed it!

The pic does not pick up the real dirt but it was gross!

The matcha tasted awful. I literally took a couple sips and had to throw it away. Wouldn't recommend.

We were passing the area when we decided we needed some lunch. I found this place on yelp and…read moredecided to give it a try. It was an open layout that had plenty of seating inside the restaurant. The decor was moder, but not overdone. We were greeting and pointed to a table but that was it. We realized there was a QR code on the table and we could order our food on there. It took a little while to get our food even though no one else was there. I found it really odd to not even be told to use the QR code to order or be informed of anything. Stewed beef noodles with Ramen- 9/10 My husband ordered this and I tried some. The broth was delicious. Rich and flavorful but not overbearing. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the meat was tender. The bok choy was a needed touch. My husband ate the whole bowl and wanted a second because was so good. Certified Angus Beef hot pot- 8/10 I ordered this with the tom yum broth. I didn't know it was a creamy version of the broth until it was served. I'm not mad about it but it wasn't in the description in case others are dairy sensitive. The broth was flavorful and really delicious. I will say that the beef was tough and it a typical cut that overcooked very quickly in the broth. I'm not positive it was Angus beef grade. I just now realized it was missing the lotus root but gave me zucchini instead. I was also missing my quail eggs. If I didn't read the description to know I was supposed to have them, I would've missed that too. Overall, the food was delicious but the service was 1 star for sure. We were never checked on and the waiter only appeared if we pushed the call button. If you can overlook the lack of customer service, the food is really delicious.

It also my first time having lotus fruit and now it's a must have for any broth/hot pot! It was a very relaxing restaurant to enjoy conversations with friends! It was incredibly easy to order food using their QR code menu on the table and the servers were very attentive if someone needed a refill on water or if we needed extra utensils! I'm looking forward to the rainy season when I can really leverage their Hong Kong-style hot pot!
