BEST INDIAN FOOD IN THE UNITED STATES I cannot express how incredible this will be for you have to try! They are so nice too!!! You can try everything first!

Mango lassi, chicken curry with veggie rice, spinach and tofu, spicy coconut chicken with veggie rice, garlic naan!

I've been coming here for the last 8 years. I drive about 2 hours from LA just for the chicken curry, spicy coconut chicken, veggie rice, spinach, mango lassi, and garlic naan of course. This family owned restaurant is worth every mile and I can't wait to come back again. The owners are a sweet couple who make everything fresh from scratch daily. Very welcoming and delicious hearty meal! And they give samples!

Naan Stop is seriously a hidden gem. The food is always fresh, and you can tell they use high-quality chicken--not the frozen or rubbery kind you get at other places. I had the tikka saag, daal, coconut chicken curry, spicy garlic naan, and chai, and every dish was spot on. The flavors are authentic but still easy for anyone to enjoy, and the spicy garlic naan actually has a nice kick if you like spice. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. They chat with regulars and really make you feel at home. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and I was pleasantly surprised to find they even have boba. Definitely my new favorite spot for Indian food.

This place is pretty good. I just wish there were more options for choices. My indian spot at home had mango chicken & sweet coconut curry. They only had spicy coconut curry, and it's pretty spicy. But still very flavorful. The portion sizes could be better. It's pretty small. I ordered cheese naan for the first time here and it was pretty good. It kinda reminded me of a quesadilla with thicker dough. The service was quick and the women was really nice. The place is pretty clean and well kept. Nice ambiance.

Curry is watery with overall good flavor, true spicy flavor. (Acid reflux all day) it's affordable, convenient and filling fast food! Large servings and welcoming staff.

1 Chicken 1 Vegetable Plate: Saag Paneer 8.58/10- so good, i love how creamy it is but not OVERLY creamy. Apparently the saag paneer has tofu instead of the cottage cheese, however I can't really tell. Chicken tikka masala 7.27/10- found it pretty watery unfortunately, however the flavor was still good. I wish it could have been a bit more spicy to add flavor. I felt like they didn't put that many pieces of chicken and also the pieces of chicken were kind of small. Also in relation to how much rice there is, so I feel like this could have been improved Garlic naan 7.48/10- some pieces were incredibly doughy, others very crisp. Pretty good, didn't have a huge flavor of garlic though but really good in relation to the vegetable/chicken plate

This place was decent, but it's over priced. Not to add the owner has a attitude as she asked me not to pay with card for a small purchase because it charges them a fee, I don't know I just found that weird but her son is amazing and very funny. The first time I came here I had a pleasant experience, but that was because the guy help me out but when the elder lady helped me the next time I came, she definitely was not pleasant. The building only has so little seating but it doesn't get that much customers so you'll always have a spot. The garlic naan was terrible and explains why it's one of the cheapest things you can get, but the butter chicken was decently good. I wanna say my favorite thing was the rice which isn't good because when I'm going to an Indian restaurant I'm mainly excited for the garlic naan and butter chicken.

this is my first time getting naan stop and i got the tofu tikki masala and it's one of the best things i've ever eaten. the tofu is SO succulent and i'm actually writing this review to make myself eat slower. (flatbread in picture is mine but i'm sure their naan is fire ). vibes in there are excellent too. i'm pescatarian and it's hard finding good affordable vegetarian food but this is so good. i cant wait to try more of their dishes.

One of the few places in Isla Vista with FLAVOR. Naan Stop is a staple in this college town and we are lucky to have it! The food is full of big flavor, spices and quality ingredients - which can not be said about everywhere in IV. It's one of the few places I'd drive to IV for. The owner is one of the nicest people you'll meet and you can tell he truly cares about his business. His service, good energy and generosity is something we can all learn from. He makes sure it's comfortable, clean inside and ready to enjoy your amazing Indian food. Big fan of this guy!

This place is a good stop for getting an Indian food fix, esp in IV! I came here with my roommates for dinner and when we got there, we had a hard time deciding what to order. Luckily, I was offered samples and it helped me figure out what to order! The worker was super patient with me and kind the whole time I was figuring out my order. I ended up getting a 1 chicken 1 veg rice plate with butter chicken and saag paneer! I also ordered a side of garlic naan and earl grey milk tea. The portions I was given were more than plenty; my food lasted two meals! Everything tasted great and I enjoyed every bite! The boba in my milk tea was the perfect texture and the drink had good flavor, but was a tiny bit watered down. Other than that, everything absolutely satisfied my cravings. I will def be coming back another time!

I ordered Naan Stop from DoorDash; with that in mind this review is only reflective of the food. I ordered the 2 Chicken Plate (chicken curry & chicken Tikka). The food looked as though it had been through a dryer cycle. Sauce was dripping out from every side of the plate. The rice was very bland, although most white rice had a particular flavor, I could not taste it on this rice. Some of the rice was mushy at the bottom; most likely from being soaked in the sauces from the chicken. The chicken curry tasted somewhat bland with a hint of curry and tomato. The chicken tikka was overly creamy for my taste; however, some may want it that way. I was hoping that more spices would come through and tantalize my palate, but it was not so.

The samosas are a must, and I almost always order the bowl combo, which comes with your choice of one entrée and basmati rice, then add the garlic naan because it is perfectly pillowy and way too easy to finish. Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Vindaloo are both heavy on my rotation, so clearly I know what I like. The portions are generous, everything travels well, and the prices are reasonable. And I need to mention their drinks because I'm slightly obsessed with the iced chai and mango lassi. Both are very much part of the order now. I've also eaten here in person, and the cozy, casual atmosphere makes it a great neighborhood spot for a quick meal or takeout. First Visit is today, a beautiful Sunday afternoon and we arrived at the very end of lunch before they close to prepare for dinner service. I started with the Ginger, Basil Limeade which was very refreshing and reminded me of a similar refresher from a Burmese place in SF. Definitely unique and a perfect compliment to the tasty food. Do yourself a favor and order the Samosas, (2), with the green and tamarind sauces. These are housemade as well as the sauces- and oh, so good!! Hubby ordered Butter Chicken as an entry and it was a large portion, along with the onion Naan. I ordered the plate with smaller bowls of the Chicken Tikka Masala and Chicken Vindaloo, accompanied by rice in order to try more dishes. So much good food and the price is reasonable. We enjoyed the flavors, quality of the ingredients, including the tender chicken, and the naan with onion was just out of the oven and hot as the sun. We enjoy Indian food wherever we travel and Indian Rasoi stands up and holds a place among the best. The service, ambiance and food are all top notch. I can't wait to try their burritos with the chicken tikka masala wrapped in Naan!

It's my new favorite Indian restaurant. The server was very knowledgeable and friendly, and our food came out quickly. The only nit-picky criticism is that I do wish it had a more intimate and darker atmosphere, especially for dinner. It felt a bit sterile and looked more like a lunch spot. It was good .... but First, it's located on State. If you've been to the area, you know what parking is like. If you don't - find street parking and walk. Or grab a spot in a lot or garage and walk. I opted for the garage. I don't remember how much it was. I didn't need to sell an organ tho ... Walked in. Lively. Not too loud though. Seemed to be a decent crowd for a Saturday night. No wait. I made a reservation. Host seated us immediately - even having gotten there early. Think, "Ran" time. Service was good. Attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. Off to the food ... We shared the following: Crispy Cauliflower, Garlic Naan, Basmati Rice, Butter Chicken and the Special (Halibut). We liked the meal but both agreed on the following - the appetizer (Cauliflower) is definitely shareable. For more than two people We both started feeling stuffed just before the entrees arrived. I guess we could have stopped as opposed to clearing the plate. For our taste, we would have enjoyed the Naan more if had had more garlic. It was a hint. We enjoyed the Butter Chicken and Basmati Rice. At least I did. However, we both didn't care for the Halibut. If you know the fish, you know it's lean, not fatty so you want to make sure you don't overcook it. Which it was for my preference. If the dish is intentionally cooked this way, then we both just aren't fans. I'm used to Halibut being tender, juicy and flaky. See the pics - what this reminded me was like white meat chicken. We didn't send it back nor take it to go as we did try it and took out about a third of the dish. Another tidbit to share - no hot tea. No big deal, I ordered it iced - but just mentioning it as an FYI. So, would I go back? Undecided. I enjoy ethnic foods, including Indian but I don't live nearby and there's so many other restaurants I haven't been to. But if I were in the area, craving Indian, I'd consider it.
