This is hands down my favorite poke spot in Santa Barbara. The fish is always incredibly fresh, and the portions are generous. The staff is consistently kind, helpful, and welcoming, which makes the experience even better. Every bowl I've had here has been delicious and satisfying. If you're looking for quality poke and great service, this is the place to go!

I come here all the time. Everything about it is great. Fast service, great portions, great options, just great. I'm moving soon and am going to come back just for choppa. Best poke iv

(Disclaimer- no poke review) White peach green tea with boba and rainbow jellies - the fruity flavors burst in my mouth with every sip i take, followed by a decadent serving of soft, chewy boba and refreshing jelly. the tea is not too sweet and the boba is masterfully cooked; chewy on the inside & soft on the out. 10/10 would recommend. jasmine green milk tea- pretty dope ngl, definitely picking up some floral notes and the tea was definitely milky. Got what I bargained for. black milk tea - today i felt like being bold and brave bc oh what the heck! what is life for. so i took a chance with a new tea today, let me tell you... it was fantastic. its pretty sweet but less sweet than the thai tea (one of my go tos). it's like a burst of yummyness surrounding my mouth. the boba was cooked to perfection, fresh, chewy, and ideal size. i've been an avid customer for years and i won't be stopping any time soon!! thank you for many memories and laughs choppa Thai tea - This is my go to order every time I get boba and choppa makes it perfect! It's very sweet which I like but if you don't have a sweet tooth, this might not be for you. The texture is perfectly milky and very smooth. Highly recommend this drink and this restaurant.

Needed a quick lunch after moving our daughter into her dorm and found this place based on yelp reviews. The restaurant is a well lit , clean, open space. I was greeted and acknowledged as soon as walked in. It's always lovely to have vibrant and friendly workers. I opted for a large bowl so I could share with my husband or save for another meal. This bowl was packed with fresh vegetables and other ingredients. It was well made and delicious. My salad bowl was over $22 but it was definitely worth it.

Really good joint overall! There's a ton of variety and a desert restaurant right next door which is pretty dope. We came around 8:30 pm, 30minutes before closing, and the staff was super duper nice, welcoming, and accomodating. We got three regular scoops with two tuna, one salmon for one bowl, and three regular scoops of spicy ahi tuna and tuna for the second. The staff was super nice and gave us extra fish. We then got some edamame, fried onions, masago, shredded seaweed, cilantro, hot Cheetos, and pineapple, which the staff piled on. It was overall tons of food for the amount we paid which was really nice of them, especially since we bothered them so close to closing. The location is a little bit outside Santa Barbara which is ok, but this is the best poke joint in the area as many have said! It hits right, the food was a bomb, and the staff is super duper nice. It became my brother's favorite joint which was another plus since he isn't a big food or poke person. Will definitely be coming back in the future!

Choppa Poke is in a plaza with a big parking lot. I came here on a Monday night and there was no wait time. I ordered a medium bowl which was VERY filling! They are extremely generous with the portion size and especially the protein scoops (which most poke places tend to skimp out on). The fish and all the toppings were fresh and overall it was really delicious. Choppa is more expensive when compared to other poke places; however, the price is justified by the fresh fish and generous portions! Will definitely come again(:

Large Bowl w/ 4 scoops of Pago, salmon and yellowtail w/ lots of delicious toppings!

Great poke place. Fresh fish (we got ahi, salmon and yellowtail), fresh warm rice, mixed greens, lots of tasty toppings and sauces (cucumber, edamame, crab salad, seaweed salad, cilantro, green onions, house ponzu dressing and topped w/ eel sauce, spicy Mayo and crispy onion and garlic. Wow! Quite a delicious masterpiece. Small with 2 scoops of fish is $18.95, but large w/ 4 scoops is just $4 more ($22.95). Much better deal, so we ordered that and shared. $2 extra if you want an extra bowl. Totally recommend!

my poke bowl!! i had, among other toppings, the salmon, seaweed, pineapple, avocado, and corn.

FIRST TIME EATING POKE!! I've always been a little nervous about trying raw seafood, but Choppa Poke helped ease this transition. The chunks of ahi tuna that I got tasted fresh and delicious, and along with the bounty of other toppings, it felt like i was eating a buffet in a bowl. The sauces are amazing, the rice is perfectly cooked, the add-ons had a huge variety of textures and flavors... and in great portion sizes, too!!! You do get what you pay for, which I really appreciate. Definitely coming back to this spot; the food is delicious, the place itself is super hygienic and COVID-friendly, and it's just a super great, filling meal to end my day with.

In this area of Goleta there is not a ton of unique food choices, but Choppa Poke is one of them. This is a great stop for picking up lunch. Generous portions of protein, there are cooked and raw choices, and all the sauces are different and good. Service has been quick and they typically have all of the choices. The ambiance of the restaurant is basically what is expected from a poke take out spot. There are a few tables but it is nothing to write home about. I never eat there so can't comment too much. Drink selection is limited to only cans/bottles of coke. Make sure you ask for soy sauce or hot sauce if you get take out- I usually forget that!!

All the way fresh. In from L.A. and found this killer poke bowl spot. Ellay Shmellay, they got nothin' on these guys. Zippy service with a smile. The richness and flavor of the proteins was astounding. Ditto on the toppings. Order: medium, sushi rice, spicy tuna, yellowtail and tofu. Sauces: House Ponzu with spicy mayo. Toppings: seaweed, quail egg, edemame, cilantro, green onions, crispy onions, avocado. Final sauce: House Ponzu Best takeout in years. ("for here" orders can dine out front too)

    Quality containers.

It was an open layout that had plenty of seating inside the restaurant. The decor was moder, but not overdone. We were greeting and pointed to a table but that was it. We realized there was a QR code on the table and we could order our food on there. It took a little while to get our food even though no one else was there. I found it really odd to not even be told to use the QR code to order or be informed of anything. Stewed beef noodles with Ramen- 9/10 My husband ordered this and I tried some. The broth was delicious. Rich and flavorful but not overbearing. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the meat was tender. The bok choy was a needed touch. My husband ate the whole bowl and wanted a second because was so good. Certified Angus Beef hot pot- 8/10 I ordered this with the tom yum broth. I didn't know it was a creamy version of the broth until it was served. I'm not mad about it but it wasn't in the description in case others are dairy sensitive. The broth was flavorful and really delicious. I will say that the beef was tough and it a typical cut that overcooked very quickly in the broth. I'm not positive it was Angus beef grade. I just now realized it was missing the lotus root but gave me zucchini instead. I was also missing my quail eggs. If I didn't read the description to know I was supposed to have them, I would've missed that too. Overall, the food was delicious but the service was 1 star for sure. We were never checked on and the waiter only appeared if we pushed the call button. If you can overlook the lack of customer service, the food is really delicious.

Portion size is good for the 3 entrees and the price is a couple of dollars cheaper than the sit down Thai restaurants. Pad thai: it was good if you like pad thai on the sweeter side. If you don't like sweet pad thai, you might think its not as balanced. Drunken udon noodle: made with round wheat noodles instead of flat rice noodles, other than that, the taste was good and I liked the use of baby bok choy, which is not normally included in drunken noodles. The spice level can increase a notch. Khao man gai: this dish is called Hainan chicken rice in the Chinese speaking parts of the world. Zapp has a more traditional version with boiled chicken, but I got the fried chicken. Chicken was juicy and crispy while the rice was mildly savory with a slight sheen of chicken fat from being cooked in chicken broth. It was also served with a side of very light chicken broth. I didn't like the Thai sweet chili sauce. I would have prefer a more complex ginger sauce. I don't know if the more traditional ginger sauce is offered with the boiled chicken. Chicken wings: crispy wings in a sweet and slightly spicy glaze. Nothing particularly Korean about it, but it was tasty. Fries: standard fries with some seasoning on top and served with a spicy and tart aioli. This was over priced at $8, I wouldn't pay more than $5 for some fries. This is the first Thai food truck in Goleta and Santa Barbara since we don't have a town council very friendly to food trucks. Overall, I think the food was quite good and the price is better than the other Thai places in town.

With plenty of parking and plenty of patio and outdoor seating, we took a long time to go over their extensive menu. It's a pretty relaxed casual space. They provide counter service only. So order at the counter, pay, and they'll give you a number. They'll find you whether you're sitting inside or out. So many food options! And they sell so many wonderful refrigerated items beyond fresh seafood. So many pickle varieties! We finally settled on: * Ahi Poke Bowl $18.95 * Fried Soft Shell Crab Sandwich $18.95 - This was no joke of a soft shell crab sandwich. Loaded with coleslaw, butter lettuce, tomato, and pepperonicini, I love when you get a real sandwich that's just too big for your mouth. I did ask for a bit more jalapeño aioli as I like a wetter sandwich. It all sits nicely on a toasted brioche bun. * Spicy Salmon Poke Bowl $18.95 * Confit Tuna Melt $17.95 - This wasn't your average tuna melt with Fiscalini cheddar and Castelvetrao olive. This was pretty good. We enjoyed the food so much we returned the next day! * Spicy Salmon Poke Bowl $18.95 * New England Clam Chowder $6.95 cup - This was a pretty good tasting cup of chowder. * Crab Cake Sandwich $19.95 - This item was on the blackboard. It's a snow crab patty with pickled daikon and fire cracker aioli. It's normally served on a brioche bun, but I subbed with their sourdough instead. * Fish & Chips $19.95, with dirty fried +$3 - This fish is beyond huge! It's massive and definitely excellent for sharing! And it tastes great too! And it lays on a bed of dirty fries. Fish & Chips is the way to go here people! Overall, we had some great eats.
