Vegan sushi roll and yummy tofu with tea.
    Gee D.

The service was fantastic. Multi-generational servers who are very attentive. Everything we ordered was delicious, but not photographed. Some of the best food doesn't get a picture because it is SOOO good. Had to take my tempura home because the tofu Soba noodles were very tasty; my tummy was satisfied. I think this is a family run restaurant: quaint, great lighting and seating for all size groups. Thanks for a great experience.

I've been here twice, the first time I was in a soup mood so I ordered their Udon noodle with vegetable & shrimp tempura. There was only one shrimp tempura so that was a bit disappointing but oh my goodness the udon noodle soup was such a generous portion and so flavorful, it definitely made up for it. Their rolls were good, we ordered the Shrimp roll, California roll and Avocado roll. The food and service make this place a good choice for dinner. The restaurant is clean, has parking out front and they have a restroom. I will be coming back.

Food was good enough, but it was pricey and there wasn't enough on the portion size. Characters Characters Characters Characters Characters Characters

Nice sushi house; great selection and service. Kind and attentive staff with a full service sushi bar. Can accommodate large parties. Wholesome ambiance --small business.

    Chirashi bowl

This is an old town Goleta staple. Fresh fish, rotating specials, and a no-frills serving style. It's a small restaurant so you might have to wait if you get there later in the evening but I think it's worth the wait if you want to enjoy the best sushi offering in the Goleta area. The Chirashi bowl has big slices of sashimi and is still a great value despite the price going up. The stand outs are the yellow tail/hamachi and the salmon. The hamachi kama was delicious and cooked perfectly. The portion was a lot and was enough to share. The only thing that could have made it better is if it was served with some lemon to squeeze on top. The fire dragon roll with salmon was great too. The spicy tuna was flavorful and not mushy, and the salmon was great quality. The rolls are large and come with eight pieces. They also have other dishes like donburi and tempura but I really think you would be doing yourself a disservice if you don't order sushi, sashimi, or grilled fish. You'll generally be able to find parking around there but you might have to walk a block or two.

The arrive at goleta sushi is incredible. Their service is top notch and the selection is wonderful. We had the snake roll, dynamite roll and the hamachi with jalapeño. The environment is quiet and enjoyable. All of it was incredible. We are regulars and will be back next week.

Great service, solid sushi rolls, great family spot with low key home vibes! We come here about once every few months. Enjoy!

    Teriyaki Chicken

Servers were excellent from the time I walked in and the food was even better! I ordered the chicken teriyaki platter came with a wonderfully presented spring mix salad with a strawberry garnish. A short time later I was presented with a very generous portion of mouth watering sautéed marinaded chicken cutlets with a delicious teriyaki sauce over sticky white rice. Delicious!!! Looking forward to my next visit to Goleta Sushi House!

Ok, ok, I'm posting for our favorite, Goleta Sushi House. We love the super fresh Yellowtail and Salmon sashimi, the best Karaage fried chicken we have experienced, the special hamachi kama (cheeks), the seaweed salad, and recommend that you ask for the Salmon Skin roll! Their Miso soup is loved by everyone we've shared a taste with. They are located in a trifecta of great small businesses in Old Town Goleta. Look for Goleta Sushi's blue awning across Hollister from the _original Habit Burger_, Designer Haircuts, Bob's Vacuum, and Mike Ruiz' Smog testing at Fuel Depot. (huh, a quatrofecta!)

Tuna, albacore, red snapper and a dragon fire roll.

Okay, this place is so good I had to come back immediately less than a week after I tried it the first time. Sushi is so good, staff are friendly and vibrant. Sushi Chef is friendly and brings laughter. Aside from the great service, the food is delicious. Even the miso soup just has a heartier and exquisite taste. The first time I had way too much because their sushi pieces are a nice proportion, didn't expect that so I ordered the dragon roll in addition to an order of Tuna, Salmon and albacore. The salmon is why I had to go back immediately . It was just as good if not better than the first time. I like the location on old town Goleta and inside it has a feel of cozy mom n pop sushi place, that feel where the locals go to because it's the good stuff, a hidden gem.

    Sushi and sashimi combo

I got takeout from here for my first time trying this restaurant. I ordered the sushi and sashimi combo and was pleasantly surprised with the portion size. They also give a very generous serving of edamame and steamed rice (separate side orders). The fish was great quality and the sauce it came with was delicious. The service when I went to pick up my order was great, Sarah was very sweet. Will definitely be back.

I ordered the Jajangmyeon noodle dish at the register and took a seat. It came with a dish of yellow radish. The Jajangmyeon had julienned cucumber on top. The sauce for this dish is supposed to be thick. Unfortunately, I was served a version that was very thin and oily. The sauce had tiny pieces of diced overcooked pork and a just a small pieces of zucchini. Other than that the rest was slices of blackened onions. The cost was also expensive at $15.95 before tax. This was the most I have ever paid for this dish and the quality was inferior and there wasn't enough veggies in the sauce. Between the pork and zucchini, I estimate it was less than a 1/4 cup. So essentially the dish was mainly noodles in with a sauce filled with onions.

Came in close to closing and the service was still great , didn't feel rushed . The tempura calamari was the best i've had in a long time . I honestly didn't know calamari could be tender , i've only ever had very chewy bites before . This was not that , so succulent and thick and tender , perfect tempura. Absolutely delicious. Spicy edamame was also delicious and had the sauce on the side which was nice , but wow !! spicy !!! Most places spicy edamame usually isn't that spicy but they mean it. Still a great flavor ! The combination sushi i will always get , you really can't beat it . 25$ gets you a california roll , which is thick !!! So decadent and delicious, they also give a generous amount of masago on top which taste super fresh . You also get a Maki tuna roll , so yummy and the flavor is addictive. 7 types of nigiri with a amazing fish to rice ratio , not even sure what all kinds you get but omg is it so worth it . I always thought i wasn't a fan of fattier tasting cuts of fish but this stuff just melts in your mouth . Also you get a ginger salad and miso soup !! I absolutely love the miso soup here , creamy broth with tofu and seaweed. Fried Shumai , so flavorful and perfectly cooked . All of their baked rolls are delicious, no misses .This is by far my fav sushi spot in santa barbara.
