Super cozy place, delicious food and attentive service! Will go again when we are back in the area!

Late night grub

This used to be a late night sushi house that we would go to after the "club". Now, it is our go-to family spot for early evening dinner. We like to sit at the bar or small tables in the front and enjoy appetizers that include calamari or tempura. The kids like the early dinner special that comes with chicken, California roll, miso, salad, and tempura. Adults love the Philadelphia roll and Mexican roll. Sometimes, we splurge on some love boat! Plus, mochi at the end with three flavor options is always a win. And you are always greeted with smiles!

I think it was still alive Not cooked Was told this is medium but I don't think it was even close to that

The food and service here is always great. There are so many selections it's hard to actually pick which one you want

Salmon hamachi bowl

This is a small home style restaurant that serves a variety of Japanese food. From curry katsu to sashimi. I loved that there was an adorable elderly Japanese couple who seemed to be the owners manage the restaurant. Service was very good and everyone seemed very friendly. We ordered the curry pork katsu (large), beef curry udon, beef curry with rice (reg size) the salmon fest, and salmon hamachi bowl. Everything was delicious and the fish was fresh. Good size portions. Our 3 entrees came with miso soup. And the salmon hamachi bowl came with a mango mochi ice cream, My son missed eating authentic simple Japanese food and that's what he got. I thought the price was very reasonable for what we got. Can't wait to come back to try other items on their menu. (There's many specials posted on the wall.)

YUM. Rolls are smaller than I'm used too but if ya get 2 it's almost a full meal. They are reasonably priced and the ingredients tasted fresh :) Would love to come here for sashimi next time Service was nice, ambiance, chill, and noise level was moderate.

Sapporo beer 16 oz.

Edomasa has been a gem for a long time. I personally love the pork cutlet Katsu curry. Best Japanese curry in Santa Barbara hands down.

Besides sushi and sashimi, they also have options like katsu curry, nabeyaki udon, and sukiyaki. However, I think you should at least try some of the fresh fish especially the sashimi. I shared the sashimi dinner along with ordering calamari, salmon nigiri, and spicy tuna. All were great. In particular, the spicy tuna roll had a pepperiness to it that was unique and also really enjoyable. The salmon was thick, fatty, and buttery. I really enjoyed the flavor of the calamari too. The restaurant is dark and casual, good for a casual date night or dinner. The service was also great too. It's a busy place and there's ample parking in the lot next door.

All came out testing terrible very fishy and overcooked. The rolls were way too big and falling apart..the waiters didn't even check with us on size of edamame dish bring a very little happy hour size..miso soup wasn't hot as it should be. It was very disappointing needless to say we will not return. After just testing and complaining we weren't even offered any discount on the food ( we left most of it) . The place is empty for the reason! Wouldn't recommend anyone

Huge bonus: there's plenty of parking on the pier and it's free for under 90 minutes. It definitely gets packed on weekends, so whenever I'm in town I prefer stopping by for a Friday lunch. Usually no wait for indoor seating, though the outdoor tables can take a little longer (worth it for the view if you have time). The food is consistently phenomenal every single visit. The clam chowder in the bread bowl and the rock crab are absolute must-orders and honestly my go-to every time. Fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you want when you're eating seafood on the water. Service is also always solid. The staff is super attentive with refills, extra butter, napkins -- all the little things that make the experience even better. Pro tip: check the weather before you go. If it was rainy or rough weather the day before or that morning, the fishing boats sometimes don't go out, which means they can run low or be out of some of the local catch items.

The setting is coastal luxury at its best -- ocean breezes outside, an elegant, high-end ambiance inside. We stopped here on our way home from a weekend in Carmel, a little road-weary and just looking for something relaxing. What we got was way beyond that -- easily one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. Service? Impeccable. Jared was our server and he set the tone -- kind, genuine, and completely on top of everything (he even chased me down when I accidentally left my credit card at the table). Food? Next-level. We went for a mix of small plates, nigiri, and rolls. The Woman of the Sea Roll was a standout -- light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced with salmon and a hint of lemon. For nigiri, we sampled uni, king salmon, red snapper, barracuda, and toro. Every piece melted in your mouth -- fresh, rich, and beautifully prepared. Even the "simple" sides like the seaweed salad, edamame, and miso soup had us impressed. And don't skip dessert. The mandarin chocolate dish was unique, bold, and the perfect finish to the meal. Between the food, the service, and the atmosphere, this place nails it. Absolute 10/10. Can't wait to come back.
