I've read lot of negative reviews on Yelp for Pokemee and it looks like they worked out all their kinks. They were not skimpy on their portions and they didn't charge anything extra except for the tamago (grilled egg). The employees were friendly and very accommodating even when we asked them to add one more topping after we had paid. The food was really fresh and delicious. We also ordered a boba which lot of yelpers seemed to have complained about due to slow service but it was ready in couple of minutes. They were pretty busy too. I'd love to go back when I'm in the area. read more

I've been trying to find a good poke spot for a minute now, especially considering my favorite one closed. While on my way to Kyles kitchen on a random day I realized I'd never been to Choppa Poke and decided to risk it for the biscuit. Checking out Choppa poke was one of the best decisions I've made in a while. Their bowls are well priced, their ingredients are fresh, and you can get boba right across from the poke bowls! This is now definitely my favorite local poke spot! Also excited that this is what I chose for lunch today as I was craving fish. read more

Choppa Poke is the best poke you can get in the Goleta area. The fish is amazing and everyone who works there is so kind. I have never had a bad order here and I've gone over 30 times! Honestly the best poke in the local Goleta area! Love it so much, my go to when I'm craving poke

PokeMee is a fairly new, up and coming restaurant that resembles Miso Hungry and/or Panda Express/Chipotle for sushi. You start with a base (white rice, sushi rice, brown rice, or salad). I typically do the half and half of sushi rice (because who doesn't like vinegar/sugar based rice)? The next is protein- depending on if you get the 3 or 5 scoop option, you can mix it up with sashimi, such as salmon, tuna, spicy tuna, yellowtail, albacore, and many more delicious options. There are also vegetarian options like edamame, and tofu that you can add as your protein. Any extra protein is $1.50. Then comes the rest of the symphony. The sauces and toppings. I typically like getting the cucumber, red onions, fish egg/roe, crab meat (for an extra $.50??), ginger, and fried garlic... ohhhhhh yeah. That's the good stuff. The 5 scoop portion is more than enough. I was pretty darn full. I also got a mango green tea boba. It wasn't overtly sweet, which is nice, considering I love tea. The reason why I'd give this place 4/5 stars is the price. It is expensive, especially when you start adding extra toppings and protein. I paid $50+ for 3 meals plus toppings and boba. It adds up quick. Even with the 10% check in offer, we all know that's only tax! Other than that, I would recommend this place to my friends and fellow yelpers if you're into poké! read more

The bowl was super yummy and filling, but I've been having the effects of food poisoning all morning -- severe symptoms keeping me from going to school. I won't be coming back due to this terrible aftermath which is too bad because I did enjoy my meal. read more

Every time I come here, I am not disappointed. The staff is friendly and the food is really consistently good. I get a small bowl with an added scoop of salmon and it is more than enough. It's gone up in price, but I get it, so has everything else. I recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a great Poke bowl! read more

I don't give many 5-star reviews but after having eaten here 10+ times, I believe it's totally deserving of such a high honor! You start by picking your size and base. The sizes just equate to the amount of protein scoops you'll get and the bases are various rice types or lettuce. I always go with the classic sushi rice. They don't overload your bowl with rice (that's a good thing). Then you pick your protein. I've never been to a Poke place that serves this much fish! One scoop literally equals three scoops. If you order a medium (3 proteins) bowl, you'll get at least 9 scoops of fish. The fish available typically includes ahi tuna, yellowtail, salmon, scallops, albacore, spiny tuna and spicy salmon. Then you'll choose some add-ins to be mixed with the fish and whatever sauces you want. I go classic ponzu and some spicy mayo. The fish and add-ins get mixed in a bowl with your chosen sauce(s). Then they place it on top of your base. You move down the line and pick from a bunch of extras (all included with the original cost): California roll krab, masago, fried onion/garlic, edamame, etc. A LEGIT medium bowl will run you about $14 out the door, but it's totally worth it. I definitely feel that I get what I pay for here. read more

Rate 3.3. Rice and toppings were generous though fish/protein was average. Expected more, though we were visiting from the NCAL in the Bay Area and have had better for less of a price. read more

It's been awhile since I've been here since I live downtown sb now. But it's still by far my favorite poke spot in the area. I could be biased cause I love they're miso sauce tho lol. This is by far my favorite poke place in the area! They give good sized portions and as many toppings as you would like. They are very attentive to quality and customer service. Food always tastes fresh. So thankful that they're still open during the Pandemic! read more

If only I lived in Santa Barbara so I could have this all the time!! So good, so fresh. I get too much wasabi sauce every time and I'm always tearing up but man it's just so good. The portion sizes seem generous to me so I didn't leave wanting for more. One piece of advice - skip the spicy fish and go for the normal ones which are chunks of meat cut up instead of chopped up like the spicy tuna etc. maybe some folks like the spicy versions but the consistency I don't love. Nonetheless - I don't doubt you will be in love. I've only ever had the salads so can't speak to the rice bowls but I would love to try one day. read more

Pokeeee! I usually come here after for my post yoga meal. Food- The fish is fresh! I really really like tuna so I choose the spicy tuna or tuna. When deciding on which sauce, I recommend mixing 2 or 3 of the sauces. I realized it was more flavorful when it was a mixed sauce. There are a variety of add ones to choose from. The seaweed salad is good, but they ran out last time I went boo :( Interior- Lots of tables to sit at. There's a long high table in the middle. It's bright inside and there are games to play too. I played Jenna with my friends last time and I won lol. Cool place to chill and eat. Overall, pokemee is definitely my go to poke place. It's a little bit pricey but I love poke too much to really care! read more

My friend and I are obsessed with poke and this is one of the better poke spots in SB. Food: I got the small and my friend got the medium. Portion size for the raw fish were good for both! First scoop of crab meat, seaweed salad and masago were free. Location: If you live in IV, you'll need a car or have to take public transportation to get here. Atmosphere: The inside of the shop is actually half poke shop and half boba shop. There's a good amount of seating space inside and it's clean. There's usually not many people who stay and eat here so there's always seating space! I'd recommend this place if you're craving poke! read more

I enjoy my food salty. Give me a bottle of ranch and I will drink it like water. With that being said...my entire poke bowl was just inedible. Never in my life have I had to dig through my bowl just to PICK OUT pieces of fish. My bowl was absolutely saturated with sauce, and not in a good way. It felt like I was spooning soy sauce straight into my mouth. I asked for sushi rice and got brown rice drenched in salty sadness. There goes 16 dollars for an unfinished meal, what a fail. Take your money elsewhere and just go to McDonald's. read more

PokeMee is Bae. There's Fish in Salad or rice on one side, and There's also a boba half of the store as well. There's two types of Poke Bowls: Regular Bowl: 3 Scoops of any meat Large Bowl: 5 Scoops of any meat You can mix and match these such as getting 2 scoops of Tuna and a scoop of shrimp. You can get unlimited topping too. I recommend the crab meat, masago, wasabi mayo, tuna and cucumber. This place gives a ton of rice even for the half and half salad /rice combo. There is just too much rice even when we requested 3/4 salad 1/4 rice. The boba stand serves strange combinations or styles like Hot Boba, crepes, flavored ice. I've been here a few times and they do miss on the occasional thing, like only having regular bowls one day or no change for cash on another. This place is pretty good even at around $11-13 a bowl. Definitely a place to get takeout while you're in Goleta. read more

Loved the fresh taste of the poke bowl and the selection of proteins and sides. The spicy mayo sauce is tasty and do recommend you try it. Number one thing in a poke place is cleanliness. I don't trust any poke if the restaurant isn't clean. This place was well maintained and so naturally the fish looked fresh. A poke bowl is rarely the cheapest lunch you can find, but the portion was ample. You load it up with almost unlimited toppings. Very good and I'd definitely come back when in the mood for poke. read more

The best poke in Goleta. They give a lot of fish which is great! I only come here to get poke. Great toppings and sauce!

After my previous horrible experience, it took me months to agree to go back to PokeMee. It was solely for the food - I think they have the best poke at the best price in SB. It looks like the employees are finally trained on how the line works, and we had a flawless experience. It's very helpful that the employees walk you through the process, as the many options can be overwhelming. After both a negative and a positive experience, I would definitely go back to see how they are on average. Happy eating! read more

Sweet people and great food! Very fresh:) Love coming here after work. Would recommend this to anyone else!!

It's occupying the same spot as boba too with a different name. The fish is pretty fresh. I love the many choices they have. The people are pretty nice and friendly. It's a great poke place in Santa Barbara Kudos and I hope they will do well! PS: please make the room temperature cooler read more

What's not to like about PokeMee? Servers are pleasant and efficient. Place is clean. The selection of items is vast and fresh at the poke bar. And the price is reasonable for the portions you get. My most recent visit I got a two-scoop bowl and chose salmon and tuna as my two protein options, mixed with wasabi mayo and ponzu sauce, on a bed of baby salad and sushi rice. I opted for several of the mix ins like seaweed salad, Krab salad, masago, cucumbers and topped it all off with crispy fried onion and garlic and the sesame/seaweed sprinkles. It was delicious and refreshing and quite filling. All for about $10 for good quality, healthy food. I joined their rewards club and later received a text for a free tea at my next visit! read more

Very stingy on the fish paid. almost $30 for barely anything. But I paid extra for seaweed salad and that took up half the bowl. Looks like they're trying to fill up the bowl with fillers. The rice was also kind of undercooked. Flavor is okay. Would not recommend read more

Place is in a strip mall ubiquitous in So Cal. We're heading elsewhere initially but the poke special was calling our names! Great photo advertising a poke salad for 12.99 And the ones delivered to our al fresco dining table looked like the photo. Healthy portions of spicy tuna, crab, salmon, along with furikake crusted rice triangles, edamame, seaweed mango cubes etc. big portion and we ate it all. One of my work associates never had poke. He is local and said he's bringing his wife back for dinner it was that good he said. I don't get to SB often but if I wanted a casual but fresh and light meal, this place was spot on! read more
