Strawberry Mango Slush with Brown Honey Boba

I was shopping at the shopping mall "Paseo Nuevo " and getting thirty so got a boba here. Last time, I tried mango slash and it was good and tried Original milk tea with boba today. But sorry I didn't like it....milk tea tastes weird to me. I like milk tea from "it's boba time " more.....

Very polite and helpful service! That is one of the pros of this shop. The cons - very sticky floor, overflowing trash, tough and tasteless boba (some of the worst we've ever had), and extremely sweet drinks (even when asked to make them less sweet). It is an okay shop if you are in the area, but if you are driving through, it isn't easy to get to anyway, so you will probably be better off looking for something elsewhere.

I don't recall ever having a decent experience here. 805 Boba has been open for several years now, and it seems like they have no incentive to improve in any meaningful way. Given the competition in the area (or the lack thereof), I don't see that changing anytime soon. They have a nice central location in an outdoor shopping mall. Parking is hassle-free and doesn't cost anything for the first 75 minutes. The interior is decorated with various art pieces, which gives it some character. Seating is limited, but you shouldn't have any issues finding a table outside. There are also games for patrons to play with. The menu is very extensive here; they have something for everyone. If you're not a fan of milk tea, they also have several smoothie flavors, slushes, coffee drinks, and regular brewed teas. Ice and sugar levels are not adjustable. One unique thing I see is that you have the ability to mix flavors. You can choose up to two flavors if you order a small or up to three flavors if you get a medium/large. They also have a good amount of toppings. A large (33 oz) gets double the amount of toppings. Recently I tried their Earl Grey Milk Tea, which I wasn't a fan of. There was no tea flavor at all, and it wasn't even milky either. It was like sugar mixed with water. The boba was too soft and they were very skimpy with the portions. Go to Blenders if you're looking for smoothies. Drive to IV or Goleta if you are looking to try other boba places. I wouldn't waste my calories or my money here.

This boba spot definitely was not it. I should have lowered my expectations especially realizing 805 Boba was one of the very few boba spots around in the area. Honestly, if it wasn't for trying my boyfriend's taro milk tea, I would have given this spot 1 star. *What we ordered: -Small Taro Milk Tea w/ Boba (7/10 rating) -Large Mango Passionfruit Tea (1/10 rating) Walking in, it definitely did not feel or look like a boba spot. Not that that matters, but just a random thought. It definitely looked more like a cafe or smoothie shop despite the boba machines stating the obvious. The staff were definitely friendly and nice. The menu has an ample amount of flavors to choose for both teas, milk teas, and smoothies. Man. The fruit teas literally tasted like pure syrup. It was way too overwhelming. The milk tea was decent. The boba pearl was decent and had a nice chew. Other than that, nah. I can see why others think this place is possibly glorious as this seems to be one of the very few boba spot in the area.

Unfortunately the Boba here is not very good there and white watery, it does not seem to have been cooked in syrup at all though the service is good the boba is not good. probably would not suggest

I was on the way back to LA from SLO and had to make a stop to fill up my tummy for lunch. With a 1.5+ hour drive I had to get a boba tea fix. 805 Boba is located in an outdoor shopping mall on State St. After lunch I walked around to find a drink place and landed here. DRINK: They didn't have what I initially ordered so I went with pineapple passion green tea. I added crystal boba and modified to 50% sweet and less ice. Overall, it's ok and nothing special. There is a pretty-wide variety of flavors on the menu. PRICE: The price is very reasonable. PARKING: There are parking structures around the area or near State St. If you're thirsty and just need a drink, 805 Boba will do the job. However, there is nothing special and wouldn't deal with the hassle and walk just to stop here.

Apparently Santa Barbara is lacking in Boba options given some of the reviews we came across before choosing to give it a try despite the less than spectacular ratings. But I can never give up a boba option when thrown at me especially when there are few to choose from. Located in an upscale pedestrian mall in downtown Santa Barbara, 805 Boba presents a very warm and inviting vibrant storefront and interior. This is not a traditional boba place, featuring a number of fruit and slushy options. There's a very short list of milk tea options, to my dismay. Service was extremely friendly as the cashier was patient in taking my order with all my questions. They were also very accommodating with special requests that I had. We ordered the espresso milk tea drink. It normally comes with their pre-made black milk tea that is pre-sweetened, however, they were able to make it freshly brewed without the added sugar. We also ordered the weekly special shown on their board which was the summer slushie. Interestingly they ran out of two of the ingredients in the supposed concoction of watermelon, blueberry, and pineapple with strawberry boba, and we had to substitute pineapple with mango and the strawberry boba with mango jelly. The slushy was rather tart for our liking. And the espresso milk tea was pretty standard and nothing special. This place is worth a stop if you're really wanting a boba fix. Otherwise wait until your next stop where there may be better Boba places to choose from.

This location has a huge selection The menu is huge and written on the massive walls it is easy to read but it takes up a couple different walls and after we ordered we noticed a special we didn't see that we probably would have tried but also didn't see avails when ordering. So when you walk in and find what you want on the wall your ushered to a self ordering kiosk that sends in your order and after it's made by one of the many makers your drink is called out by the name you gave. So make it creative because you wouldn't want to grab the wrong order by mistake. Between the drinks we ordered my husband liked his the least it was banana that tasted artificial which I said happens at places like this you just have to ask. Shrugs. I went the same route mostly because it was busy and ordered a Thai tea. It was perfect for the hot day. I'd hadn't been to this outdoor shopping mall area before and they were setting up the side street for a large farmers market which we didn't know was happening that day either so we really lucked out. So much to see and do. I recommend checking online to see what specials are before arriving and then perhaps asking one of the many employees to help you order. Try something fun! I heard horchata with coffee jellies is good.

Perfect Valentine's Day Breakfast Stop…read more Every time I'm driving into Los Angeles, I stop on State Street to charge my car -- and today (February 14th ) we decided to grab breakfast while we waited. Best decision ever. We stumbled upon this adorable donut shop, and they had the cutest Valentine's-themed donuts decorated for the day. My daughter immediately chose the chocolate one. I honestly didn't think she'd love it... but she ate the entire thing without hesitation. That says everything. Of course, I grabbed some donut holes for the road -- because that's just tradition at this point -- but the real star? The bagel sandwich. I ordered a jalapeño cheddar bagel with egg, crispy bacon, tomato, red onion, and (because why not?) extra cheddar. It was DIVINE. Hands down the best bagel sandwich I've ever had. Perfectly toasted, flavorful, just the right kick from the jalapeño cheddar -- I'm still thinking about it hours later. I may have to stop again on the way home because I genuinely can't get that taste out of my mind. If you're passing through State Street, do yourself a favor and try this place. Absolute gem.

The mango boba drink was also a winner: tasted like it was made of fresh fruit and the boba was soft and chewy. Service was also very friendly and the ambiance is classic. Definitely will be coming back here! (food didn't last long enough for pictures )
