This is located inside a food court. They have so many drinks on the menu that sound good. It was hard to pick which drink to order. I wanted something refreshing, so I ended up with the jasmine guava. It was a solid drink, and it came out pretty fast after ordering!

Warm, soft, chewy boba! The perfect texture I'm looking for in boba. The regular milk tea is lacking in flavor and a little too watery for my taste but the hochija has a stronger flavor that pairs well with the boba. The creme brûlée drink is creamy and sweet; it pairs very well with the boba. Good customer service and the ordering line is very convenient to just grab and go. I would recommend this place overall!

Made a pit stop to SLO on a NorCal Roadtrip because I heard good things about their cold brewed tea. It's not bad for the area, as I can taste the tea without the milk or sugar overpowering the drink. Customer service was great, they added extra pumps of sugar due to my 60% House Milk Tea being a bit bitter for my taste. Plenty of outdoor seating for people with dogs!

Sequel Tea is the best you'll find in the county for boba and milk tea! I moved out to this area several years ago from Sac and could not find anything great, until Sequel came along! I've tried almost all of the flavors- milk tea, fruit tea, matcha lattes, and specialty drinks- they're sooo delicious! It's been exciting to see Sequel grow over the years. The owner and staff are so friendly. Hands down, one of my go-to spots!

Hands down, the BEST boba spot on the Central Coast. I'm from LA/OC and it's been SO awful living here without any good boba. I've been disappointed by every spot from Santa Barbara to SLO. However, I'm so glad that we came across this tea store! The Banana Milk and the Crème Brûlée Tea was so good. (The Banana Milk has real banana blended in it too!) I would even go as far to say that this spot would compete down in OC! We're so excited to come back to try the other flavors!

Today, I ordered a Jasmine Cream top that is being advertised as a 22oz drink and ordered no ice. I've ordered my drink with no ice before and usually I get a bit more than this (about 70-75% full), but their cups are still not filled almost to the top. This was already questionable but today when I received my drink, literally half of the cup is only filled. When I got my drink, I asked the cashier if this was all the tea that I'm getting. He gave me a beaming smile and said "Yes." I gave him an incredulous look and then immediately left. I understand you guys use a measuring system, but so do other boba shops. I know this personally because I've worked at one. I have never seen a boba place do this before. They will fill your cup almost to the brim. Even corporate Starbucks doesn't do this. I got home and measured the volume. With the cream top, the drink filled up a little over a 350ml measuring cup which is approximately 11.8 fluid oz. 12oz when I'm ordering a 22oz drink and you're charging $6. If 22oz refers to cup size rather than liquid, that should be clearly stated--because what's being served is materially less.

I am picky about my boba and this definitely did not disappoint. I was able to adjust my sweetness and the boba was fresh! So refreshing on a windy Sunday.

The cashier was very polite and the service was quick. The tea is excellent--probably the best you can find in SLO. We ordered the Roasted Oolong Milk Tea, which had the perfect balance of milk, oolong, and sweetness.

So excited that they have a delicious ceremonial matcha place on the central coast. These are delicious, staff is super friendly and helpful. Cute setup. It's inside food type court with lots of food options as well. If you love matcha like I do. This is the place to go.

Got the matcha taro and the black sesame hojicha latte. The matcha taro was a bit off since it was just a super thick drink. Like very thick. The black sesame hojicha latte was pretty good, this place always does well for their hojicha lattes

Was craving some boba milk tea type drinks and found this place, highly rated on yelp. It's located in a cute marketplace with other restaurants and desserts. The design of the menu and the corner where it is located looks pretty cool and there was a short line, making me think we were in for a really nice treat. We ended up getting a variety of drinks. The mango uji matcha was pretty good. The sweetness of the mango helped to sweeten the whole drink once it was mixed, but then it overpowers the matcha flavor quite a bit. The jasmine milk tea was quite disappointing. It tasted very watered down as if there were not enough jasmine tea leaves steeped in water. Perhaps the type of milk used was not very creamy and thus added to watery taste. My friends also got the house milk tea and same issue with the jasmine tea in terms of tasting watered down. The jasmine guava tea was not to my liking either. The guava juice really overpowered the jasmine tea, so the drink packed a very tangy flavor, and not really in a good way. The menu recommends their standard sweetness of 60%. I typically get 50% sweet is most places but the standard they recommend tasted more on the 25% sweetness level with the exception of the mango uji matcha drink. If you like your beverages more sweet, you may want to go to 100%. The boba was a little hard for all the drinks as well. While the service was nice, I still would not come back.

Best boba in San Luis Obispo hands down! This boba place is the bomb! They come to Cal Poly Campus, making the college students happy! They are really knowledgeable about their teas. Located inside the marketplace with plenty of outside parking. The location is beautiful and a foodie paradise. We will definitely be back! Happy Yelping!

I ordered the banana matcha latte and my bf got the Vietnamese cold brew. The Vietnamese cold brew ended up being sweeter than my matcha but that not a problem for me because I do not like my drinks sweet. A good hint of banana in my drink but mostly matcha. The banana matcha latte is available for a limited time only unlike the Vietnamese cold brew. SERVICE: We were the only ones at the store during our visit but the service was quick. There was only one person taking orders and making the drinks at the time but even then I thought she did it in a timely manner. AMBIANCE: Plenty of space and a cute instagrammable install photo-op against the wall. Plenty of seats available and some games available for groups visiting the store. There is free wifi available as well. The music playing in the background was not playing too loud. I feel like the store is still pretty empty and needs some more decorations but otherwise a good space to get some work done while enjoying your drink. Will definitely come back and try the other drinks!

I usually try to reduce sweetness where I can because I add sweetened toppings (even if it seems negligible)- this was the right amount of sweetness and I'd try to do 0% if I could next time. The boba is nice and chewy. The egg pudding keeps its shape and added some extra sweetness to the drink as well. I wish the tea taste was stronger but I've had worse. Rose Milk Tea (+boba/50% sweet): Tastes like how a rose milk tea should. (Similar to 85 degrees). Meets the standard for how floral this drink should be. Service: Kiosk makes things easy and you could order in-person as well. Our drinks came out in a reasonable amount of time, not too fast that you'd question if it was just premade slop, but not too long where it would be annoying. Ambiance: It does feel very cramped and cluttered inside. There's some tables (not many) if anyone wanted to stick around and/or study. There are a variety of figurines, urns, teas, pins, etc. that are kind of everywhere around the shop. It's like a gift shop almost. Many signs saying not to touch the merch. The interior feels especially cramped because there isn't much waiting room if you like your personal space. If it doesn't ruin the structural integrity of the place, I don't know why they don't make changes to the inside. There aren't too many good boba shops in this general area but thankfully Sweetie Cup Tea House is one of them. I will definitely return.

It was the end of a long, windy, and rainy drive all the way from 17-Mile Drive after heading down from San Jose. By the time I reached Morro Bay around 8:00 PM, my GPS and phone signal finally started to return. I then drove from west to east and reached San Luis Obispo, which I had visited the day before and which had left me with a very good impression. A kind police officer had even left a citation on my windshield with a $0 fine after I mistakenly parked my car in a commercial loading zone in Chinatown during a restricted time I hadn't realized was in effect. That Chinatown was small--perhaps the smallest I have ever seen--though I once thought the one in Singapore was the smallest, but then again, isn't all of Singapore essentially a Chinatown? I drove back into the heart of San Luis Obispo that evening, and instead of just finding a Domino's pizza, I decided to have a proper sit-down dinner. I searched for restaurants near me, and Thai Delight Cuisine popped up with a high score on Google Maps, only a few minutes away. I arrived around 8:20 PM, parked by the road, and paid the parking fee through a kiosk. The machine was as kind as the policeman and only charged me until 9:00 PM, after which parking was free. Once I entered the restaurant, every table was occupied except for one that hadn't even been cleaned yet. I was seated after being greeted kindly by three different waitresses. I was cold and sweaty from the drive, but I still ordered a glass of Thai tea for the caffeine, knowing I still had almost four hours of driving ahead of me. Unfortunately, the tea was too sweet and lacked the strong, aromatic flavor that a normal Thai tea should have; it felt more like a glass of sugar water. The atmosphere was very pleasant, though it was interesting to note that in the entire restaurant, only two of us were Asian, and we were the only two using chopsticks. Being in wine country, the restaurant had a large storage area with various wines that looked excellent, but I was in a hurry and not in the mood for a tasting. The Tom Yum seafood was served quickly, just a few minutes after I placed my order. It arrived in an aluminum pot that lacked the traditional middle chimney but was still good-looking. I took several pictures of the dish and then used my right hand to take the spoon to pour the soup, but I was "bitten" by the spoon--a very strong pain in my finger. I was confused and tried to take the spoon a second time, but I dropped it again. I realized the tip of the spoon had been resting directly over the fire underneath the pot and had become extremely hot. I had to grab some ice from my water to try and cool down my finger. The Tom Yum soup was neither spicy nor sour--perhaps just a hint of sourness, but far too little. It wasn't spicy at all, and the waitress didn't even ask for a spice level when I ordered. I wouldn't give this Tom Yum top marks if I were in Bangkok, as it was well below average, but honestly, it didn't taste bad on a cold night after a long drive. The seafood in the pot was very fresh, which I didn't expect to find in the middle of the mainland. The shrimp were big and tender, the crab was fresh, and the scallops and fish were all high quality; they used good sea fish rather than cheap basa. The only pity was that the soup was too sweet without that strong sour attack, which is the spirit of Tom Yum itself. I waited quite a while for the fried rice to arrive, only to find it contained the exact same ingredients: squid rolls, mussels, shrimp, crab legs, scallops, fish, and even tomatoes. It was identical to the Tom Yum, just in a different form. I wish they had told me the ingredients were the same when I ordered! The taste wasn't bad, even though the tomatoes and eggs were slightly burnt with dark marks and the rice was a bit too moist. Again, it was just way too sweet. So, in the end, I had a glass of sugar water, a pot of sugar soup, and a plate of sugar rice, and I got my finger burnt in the process--but I would still give it 4 stars. The seafood was incredibly fresh, the environment was very warming, and overall, I think I had a very good trip.
