Such a hidden gem!! Best sourdough in town, I tried em all, Deux wins. The people there sweet and friendly as well. Did the levian loaf, crunchy shell, chewy interior, just delicious, get it warm in the morning if you can, they have small loaves sometimes too.

Hidden little gem located in Santa Barbara's east side, Deux has your bakery craving needs. They have freshly baked bread to choose from, get it while it's freshly warm out of the oven! Sourdough among some of their options. They even have pastries and sweets to choose from. They have the best in my opinion gigantic cinnamon rolls in town! Best warm as well with the best frosting to top it off! Go early they sell out! They even have paninis for lunch and soups of the day as well as egg and potatoes salad. Deux has a cute patio where you can sit and enjoy your treats. The service is extremely friendly and accommodating. Cannot go wrong with whatever you choose.

This bakery is on the more small and cosy side but packs a punch when it comes to delicious food and variety. The interior is clean and all the display cases were filled with delectable food.I had a caprese panini that was nothing short of amazing! The bread was light and perfectly toasted and loaded with mozzarella, pesto and other goodies. I also split a strawberry scone with my hubby. The scone was on the thinner side which was new to me but super delicious as it was easier to taste and enjoy all the other ingredients. Customer Service was excellent. The young lady who helped us (America) was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed it so much and plan to visit again.

If you come here (which you should), come here for the cinnamon buns. I recommend leaving with at least two. That way if someone steals one of your hot commodities, you have the reassurance that you will be eating this delicious treat! The staff was so friendly and helpful here. The bakery is small so you do have to wait if there is a person or two ahead of you. When I arrived there was a couple who ordered 6 baguettes. They ordered so much bread it made me wonder if I should order some myself! Hot tip, this bakery is also known for their crostinis if you are ever in need. I ordered: 2 cinnamon buns 1 guava cream pastry 1 jalapeño ham and cheese pastry 1 doggie treat (free) Everything was yummy. But, if I had to order again, I would come for the cinnamon bun and the cinnamon bun alone. It was absolutely delicious and such a large size. Yummy!

So good that even my grandma who doesn't eat sweets LOVED IT!! Hands down the BEST bakery and pastry shop in Santa Barbara! I originally have never heard of this place, but after seeing my fellow Yelpers post delicious looking pics, I knew I had to try it! Thank goodness I did because it was so good! The best cinnamon roll I have ever had. The pastry itself wasn't sweet but the icing and cinnamon sugar mixture made it the perfect amount of sweetness! It was so good I could probably eat 3 in one sitting. I will definitely be coming back to try some more pastries (especially those croissants & soft pretzels)! On top of it all, the workers were super sweet! You can tell everyone is close knit! Tip -- you can only get the soft pretzels if you preorder them a day in advance!

My personal favorites were the matcha einspanner and their strawberry matcha latte. For mochi donuts I especially enjoyed their lemon blueberry ricotta and brown butter turon specials. Best decision ever. We stumbled upon this adorable donut shop, and they had the cutest Valentine's-themed donuts decorated for the day. My daughter immediately chose the chocolate one. I honestly didn't think she'd love it... but she ate the entire thing without hesitation. That says everything. Of course, I grabbed some donut holes for the road -- because that's just tradition at this point -- but the real star? The bagel sandwich. I ordered a jalapeño cheddar bagel with egg, crispy bacon, tomato, red onion, and (because why not?) extra cheddar. It was DIVINE. Hands down the best bagel sandwich I've ever had. Perfectly toasted, flavorful, just the right kick from the jalapeño cheddar -- I'm still thinking about it hours later. I may have to stop again on the way home because I genuinely can't get that taste out of my mind. If you're passing through State Street, do yourself a favor and try this place. Absolute gem.

My son got an iced Americano and I got a Decaf Iced Vanilla Latte with Oat Milk. Leonel's helped us at checkout and she was also very nice, fast and helpful. After sharing the pastries, I immediately decided to get 1 more of each to-go. They were so FRESH, scrumptious and delicious. High quality pastries made with a lot of love and care! We also got the Berry Fruit Tart that we nibbled at after the meal, but we were already so full. It was also delicious and will taste great as a late night snack later! For our entrées, I got the Turkey and Brie Sandwich but subbed Baguette in place of the Ciabatta bread. OMG, it was AMAZING!!! It came with nicely sliced turkey breast, garlic aioli, baby arugula, triple cream Brie and cranberry-fig compote. All the ingredients complimented each other perfectly and tasted absolutely divine and decadent. I hadn't eaten Brie cheese in a long time and this sandwich really hit the spot! The sandwiches/entrées come with a choice of potato chips or house salad, so I chose the salad. The lettuce was so crisp and fresh, and the vinaigrette was very delicate too. My son got the Blue Crab Crepes and WOW! We were both stunned at how delicious it was. A perfect brunch/lunch item for a cafe like this, and honestly, we have never seen crepes with crab anywhere. It came with Hollandaise sauce on top and it wasn't too heavy or overpowering. Just right. He also got his food with a House Salad. We absolutely loved every second of our experience here at Alessia. I had the avocado toast with dill cucumbers and eggs, which was beautifully presented and very flavorful. My husband had a croissant sandwich with egg and fillings, which he thought was good, and we also shared a pistachio croissant that we both really liked -- it was thick, generously filled, and delicious. The only small thing was that our coffees arrived about 10 minutes before the food, which isn't ideal for breakfast since I usually like to have them together.
