Tarte tatin

Sandra is a very talented baker !! I custom ordered a tarte tatin .... it is beautiful & delicious. So glad to have Sandra in Santa Barbara where the food scene is less than stellar.... Sandra kicks it up several notches. Am grateful to have Gipsy Hill Bakery Pop Up in my backyard !!!!

Everything AMAZING. Sourdough Chocolate Chip Cookie. Blueberry Pastry. Zucchini Tart. Spring Vegetable Galette.

We kept hearing how authentic their food is, and they also have a delicious menu of Matcha and Cafe Specials. After walking in and noticing all the other food options, we all split up to visit the other spots within, and we then met at one of the many communal tables to share each other's selections. At our large table we had food from Corazon Cocina, Empty Bowl Gourmet Noodles, Wabi Sabi, Little Bird Kitchen, and Que (West Coast BBQ). They all paired nicely with draft beers and cocktails from Cooney's at the Market, and we even got desserts from Rori's Artisanal Creamery. Staff at each venue was very helpful making food suggestions, and even pointed out some of their own favorites there at the SBPM.

Not fast food type but a decent meal in a quick pace environment. Friendly and quick service. Like a food court type of arrangement but so much more. My favorite is seoul mate kitchen which offers some classic dishes with a fusion twist. I love the bento box here. Pick a protein among beef, pork belly, chicken Or tofu. It also comes with rice, half marinated egg, cucumber, carrots , and three veggie side dishes. A full meal without the need to do much thinking. Next is the ca'dario pizza, we got the parma pizza. I cannot stop eating it... maybe it is the crust Want to try the rori's artisanal creamery. There was a "be backed" sign on the register. We Waited for 10mins or so and had to go. Now i have one more reason to come back and visit. Parking is pretty convenient. City parking close by and offer first 45 minutes free parking,

Le Sorelle - Anna & Donatella

We recently discovered Le Sorelle at the Santa Barbara Night market (a temporary holiday pop-up…read moreshop through December) as we were doing some light holiday gift shopping. Donatella invited us up to her shop to try some samples, and we were sold - literally. We ended up buying a couple of bottles for our family and a couple of bottles for ourselves, along with some incredible olive tapenade (she threw in an extra treat, which was very kind). Of the oils, the pure virgin olive oil was the cleanest and most applicable to diverse uses. The mandarino was incredible and so unique...we'll try it on some baked squash or beets or carrots. The limone was super interesting as well, and I think Donatella suggested trying it on salmon. So we'll take her word for it and try that! These are authentic olive oils with very unique flavor profiles. Worth your business this holiday season and beyond! Visit them online or at the Night Market.

The Adamo Extra Virgin Olive Oil transforms a simple salad of mixed greens with a few fresh vegetables into a bold and spicy treat. I love using it has a finishing oil to enhance just about every fish, vegetable and pasta dish I create. "Le Sorelle" translates to "the sisters" and is aptly named as its founders, Anna and Donatella, are sisters whose family originates from Puglia. These two dynamic women are passionate about providing the highest quality products to consumers and they have completely hit the mark! I seriously hope more restaurants start using their products. They will compliment just about any dish and take your palate to new heights! Delicious!

This is by far my favorite place for a deli sandwich. The staff is generally very nice. There is seating inside and outside. The vibe is wine bar. Love it!

This specific experience is from a few months ago, and is a part of a growing frustration with what…read morehas become of this formerly wonderful sandwich shop. This isn't about public shaming, hopefully it's clear this is about flagging to management that their staff requires more hands on training around food handling, product quality, tidiness and presentation. We ordered four sandwiches around 1:00pm mid week, nobody else was there and there were no tickets ahead of us--just two teenaged boys who looked seriously confused and undertrained and even openly joked about how slow things had been that day--which was an odd comment for a restaurant that looked like it hadn't been bussed yet after a lunch rush. It took both of them about 40 minutes to make four sandwiches in an extremely haphazard manner that inexplicably required them leaving to the back room a lot and returning empty handed--they both weren't familiar with the ingredients of the specialty sandwiches and they joked shoulder to shoulder as they both fumbled through completing the order. I was pretty shocked at how unkept the entire food prep station appeared and the counters and tables hadn't been bussed and were attracting large horseflies from outside --why weren't these guys bussing tables if it was so slow? Why was there A LOT of yellow mustard smeared across the low boy fridge doors? Where was the supervision? Why was it taking so long to make sandwiches that were on the menu with zero modifications? Why was the music so loud? Why was the kid who was just counting cash out of the tip jar, now handling food without washing his hands or wearing gloves? It was a barrage to the senses and a bizarre vignette into an ever-declining understanding of quality service and hospitality standards coupled with an ever-rising high cost of goods. When we got to the park down the street and opened the bag none of the sandwiches had been wrapped properly, no tape, no restrictive folds, just loose sheets of hand crumpled parchment paper, barely restraining the food inside with 360 degree wet condiments covering the OUTSIDE of every sandwich parcel--if you can even call them that. It was a disaster inside that bag. You couldn't reach your hand into the bag without it coming out covered in misc condiments. That same day I called the restaurant to ask if I could speak to the owner and share our observations, the person who answered said that person wasn't available. And before I could ask for an email, the kid hung up on me--but I can't blame him for that, he probably couldn't hear me over the insanely loud music playing on his side of the line.

The meat choices are endless from chicken, beef, pork, chorizo, longaniza, Cornish game hens, fajitas, and much more! There's plenty of fresh seafood to choose from as well as pre-made ceviches and aguachiles. They also have pre-made salsas that looked really good, and homemade flour tortillas.
