I recommend this Mexican Dinner 100% the food was great delicious and the service was perfect too

    Good Food.

Dining at Estrella's is like having your mom cook you a meal at home. And I mean it will taste like someone cooked it at home. I got the Chicken Fajita Omelet, Egg Whites, and it was very good--too much salt for my taste, but good. Came with breakfast potatoes--excellent. Brought one of my sisters with me and she has been dining here ever since she liked it so much. Everyone should try Estrella's at least once and see what you think? Local yo-cal family restaurant.

Great meals at a great price. Easy going Diner atmosphere. Had the chili relleno and wife had chilaquiles verdes. Both were equally superb. Service was very nice, thanks! Will be back for sure. Second visit was as good as first. The stuffed chicken dish was unreal (see pic after I poked at ric). Diner setting but much better than diner food. Yet they also offer some diner classics if not in the mood for great Mexican food. Wife said her Cuervo Margarita was superb. Enjoy! Fourth time and the best so far! Moving them to a 5 star! Ok it's a very nice diner setting, so don't expect a 5 star exotic restaurant. For what they serve and what they do, they deserve what I gave them. This time I again had the Estrella's Stuffed Chicken which was again amazing and prettier than last time! Wife had the Camarones (shrimp) Enchipotlados which she loved. Also they make a superb classic margarita! Keep up the great work!

Estrella's was really good. A local family run business. The service and food with both very good. Definitely recommend this place for breakfast and if you like hot sauce, asks for the house made hot sauce. They have really good fresh squeezed orange juice. The Side of fruit was fresh as well. Really loved the house fries.

This is an update on Estrella café . Surviving one of the worst times in history, Esterellas continues to deliver delicious food with excellent service. Abagail has been a great addition with a friendly smile and genuine concern for your dining experience Hats off to Esterellas And an extra shout out to both Justa and chef Milton for making it happen bravo

Small spot we found today just searching through Yelp.... Food was great, we were stuffed by the end of it. Service was good. Place was packed when we got there. Only issue is the parking, there's no parking lot. we lucked out and found a spot on the street right when we got there.

I suggest you head towards the houses, away from town, if you can't find a spot. I've been anxious to try this place as the pictures look solid enough and reviewers thus far seem content. My wife and I entered with plans to have beer and apps. We ended up getting Guinness, onion rings, fried calamari and the Cooper's Burger. You can't beat a 22oz Guinness for $8. The prices on their website also match what you'll see inside. Lately I find so many restaurants are charging more than they advertise online. Service was great, friendly and very attentive. I was also surprised to see how well they clean tables between customers. Spray, wipe table, wipe lamp, shakers, etc. It's totally clean for the next customer. There are only 8 or so tables in here, plus bar seating. We enjoyed some comfy seats at a high top table for two. The onion rings were great - crisp and battered nicely so they hold together. While almost a little overcooked, they were still good and better than I had at the last high end steakhouse I went to. The fried calamari was fairly priced and a good portion. It had a light crispness, though bigger pieces would've been nicer. They were mostly small, but certainly a lot of it. The accompanying marinara was good and plentiful. We got the Cooper's Burger cooked medium and it came out medium. It's a simple burger that comes with lettuce and tomato. Some red onion wouldn't been nice. They charge extra for all sorts of stuff you can get on top - fried mushrooms, fried onions, eggs, etc. It also comes with fries, which were good. Overall, it was a nice cozy time. Several middle aged couples ate here that night and a couple small groups. No loud bar crowds as they're all on central avenue. In fact, I was surprised how nice the acoustics were inside. You can hear people at your table no problem, can hear the music inside at the right level and don't hear a lot of background chatter or noise. I'd most certainly return if in the mood for pub food. And ... No credit card fee!

I'm updating this review mostly to add more photos, but have been enjoying hanging out here for a coffee & pastry while catching up on emails or just taking in the peaceful surroundings, meeting friends for lunch, and most recently returned for one of their lively Friday night dinners with music on the outdoor patio (indoors if the weather is uncooperative). They are now open for dinner 5 nights a week in the summer! The menu is seasonal and changes often, with daily specials and some staples. The food is hearty and wholesome, and I love their salads. The quiche for example tasted like something i would make, though not sure if that's a good thing or not (ha). The chicken shawarma ($14) was pretty good though the pita could have been softer; it had eggplant, onions and mushroom as well. Quite enjoyed the strawberry cupcake - light and airy. They have glasses of tap water in the fridge which you can help yourself to and you bus your own tables by putting your silverware and plates in a pan. They have a very small parking lot that says 20 minute parking. We parked at the school next to it so hopefully that was ok. Not sure where all the customers were parking as the official lot was full.

I was not super hungry so I just ordered a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. It was huge I felt I kept eating and didn't even make a dent so I brought it home. My boyfriend ordered their special steak sandwich with a side of fries. He said it was cooked to his medium rare temperature and well flavored. The fries are always extra crispy here too! I have been on an espresso martini kick and it truly is one of the best places for one around. Sweet and simply made. My boyfriend ordered his favorite ipa from the alchemist brewing company that they luckily carried here! Parking can be tricky on weekends so we did have to walk a little bit further but not an issue as it was a nice fall evening. Service is great and I do like that they've added to their menu once you're done with your meal if it's busy they can ask for your table.

The menu had mostly Hawaiian options to choose from. The pricing was very reasonable as well. I had the customizable poke bowl ($15.95). There was a number of different options to choose from with different proteins, toppings, sauces, etc. I had a base of brown rice with avocado, cucumber, sweet corn, edamame, mango, ahi tuna, spicy mayo, ginger, wasabi, jalapeno, green onion, and cilantro. This was nicely done. Everything appeared fresh and it was a good size portion. I would have just liked to seen a little more ahi tuna present, but besides that, very pleasant and filling. I also had the spam musubi ($2.95) and a side of macaroni salad ($3.95). The musubi was okay. It was a little dry. There needed to be more sauce present. The macaroni salad was a heaping portion, and it was tasty. There looked like a lot of mayonnaise present, but it was not too overpowerful as some type of sugar seemed to be incorporated to balance it out. Regardless of what it was, the salad was flavorful.
