What a great find, tucked away inside the Doubletree! Great food, great service, and great prices to boot! Their dinner special is a good value! Melisha rocks the bar! Looking forward to going back!

I had high hopes for the Windsor Grille and it's promise of authentic Texas BBQ. Unfortunately it didn't come close! From the membrane still intact to the back of my half rack of ribs. To the baked beans straight out of a can, I was hoping the cornbread muffin would redeem the meal. I guess that was too much to expect, Betty Crocker makes better corn bread. Next time, I think I'll get a Swanson Hungry Man BBQ TV dinner from Shoprite, when I'm in the mood for Texas BBQ in Nanuet. The saving grace was the bartender, Skyler, who was very friendly and upbeat. He would be more suited at a real bar/restaurant!

Small, but comfortable. The servers and bartenders are great and very nice. The food was surprisingly good and tasty. I had a salad and the horseradish crusted filets. The mushroom risotto that came with the filets was delicious and slightly crunchy! Definitely not what you would expect from a small hotel bar/restaurant.

The owner started his business venture as a ghost kitchen in 2020, and then opened up this brick-and-mortar location earlier this year. There's a parking lot in the back. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a Mediterranean-inspired ambiance - rustic pottery, white & blue color palettes, blonde woods, soft lighting. They have both indoor and outdoor dining. The seating areas are good for small to medium-sized groups. They have a simple menu with fresh ingredients and reasonable prices: pita sandwiches, salads, rice bowls, platters, pastries, etc. The rotisserie meats are the star of the show! We ordered... *Spanakopita $6 (layers of crispy, golden phyllo dough with a spinach, feta cheese, and herb filling) *Tiropita $6 (layers of buttered phyllo dough with a cheese and egg filling) The phyllo dough was flaky, crispy, and buttery. I preferred the tiropita out of the two. It was super cheesy, salty, and creamy. The spinach filling wasn't as good because it tasted oily. *Traditional Gyro Platter $20 *Chicken Souvlaki Platter $20 All platters are served with one grilled pita, tzatziki sauce, and your choice of two sides. The lamb/beef gyro was slow-cooked on a vertical rotisserie. It was super savory, tender, and seasoned in a blend of herbs and spices. The chicken souvlaki skewers were juicy and loaded with a zesty lemon garlic marinade. The pita bread was warm and fluffy. The tzatziki sauce was creamy and tangy. For our sides we chose: *Greek Salad (romaine, tomato, red onion, cucumber, Greek herbs, feta, dolma, olives, pepperoncini, red wine vinaigrette) *Marinated Beet Salad (red beets, red onion, herbs, balsamic glaze) *Lentil Soup *Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup All of the sides were delicious. The salads were very refreshing and made with high quality ingredients. Out of the two soups, my favorite was the lemon chicken orzo. It was like a good ol' comforting bowl of chicken noodle soup with a bright, citrusy aftertaste. The lentil soup broth was a little too watery and sour for me (I think they might've overdone it with the lemon and tomatoes). We had a lot of leftovers to take home. The prices are an excellent bang for your buck because they give you generous portions. The staff is very kind and attentive. We dined in and they brought our food to us in a timely manner. They were on point with clearing our plates, giving us extra utensils/napkins, and anything else we needed. I would happily return whenever I'm in the area!

I'm definitely disappointed. Service was bad, (which is crazy considering there was no one in there). 2 servers. Both passed us several times. Regardless, we had to get up and get our own menus because no one came to provide them to us. Finally, someone came to take our drink order and when we said we were ready to order they said we have to wait for someone else to come over. Overall, the restaurant doesn't look clean. Ceiling is falling apart. Bench seats crumbling. Walls are dusty. The tables are uncomfortable because they have thick plastic on them. Not to mention sticky. The food was overpriced in my opinion. 3 stack of pancakes was around $8.95. I ordered chocolate chip pancakes and it was $10.95, which is just not worth it. The meal shown was $30, again not worth it in my opinion. Needless to say we won't be returning.

Walked in and plopped myself down at the bar (there doesn't appear to be any alcohol but I'm not positive) and was promptly greeted. The only other patrons were a couple. Ordered steak fajitas and a Diet Coke. Soft drink came immediately and after a few minutes I was served some nice hot chips with a mild salsa. My entree arrived shortly after. With not many photos to go by I was expecting traditional vs gringo style, but seeing macaroni salad served with meat, rice, and beans was different. The meat and bell pepper mixture had a gravy with a little bit of a curry flavor. The best and worst part of the meal were the freshly made tortillas. They only gave two and they are on the small side... but were hot, freshly made, and absolutely delicious. When they noticed I'd finished those and still had over half of my food left they offered more, which I heartily accepted, and a minute or two later I was rewarded with another pair. After using up all four of my tortillas up I still had about 1/3 of my meat and rice which I mixed together with some of the beans and just polished off with a fork. Service was great, food tasted good, only suggestion would be to give more than two tortillas with the initial order. If I am back in Nanuet I'd eat here again.

First impression walking in, the place is beatifully decorated. It is tasteful and elegant yet inviting and family friendly. My first stop was to the restroom and I gotta say, the place looked spotless which gives you a sense of confidence in the cleanliness of the environment. I also noticed that it is a very large and open space which would be a perfect venue to celebrate any occasion as a big group. When I walked in I noticed that it was a lively and warm ambiace tha makes you feel comfortable to be there. The food: The food was great! Very tasty and fresh. I had the big boy burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was delicious and tho I knew it included jalapeños, I was surprised at how spicy it was. When I looked, it had big pieces of jalapeños w some seeds. No wonder it was too hot, not the jar jalapeños. I took some of it out and enjoyed the whole thing. I didn't finish my fries because they were soggy. No crunch at all. My date on the other hand, ordered a churrasco with yuca fries. The bartender messed up his order and brought him what is called "Portuguesa Churrascaria" which includes grilled skirt steak, pork chop, chicken, and chorizo with moro rice and sweet plantains. Tho it was not what he ordered, he was glad they served him that. It was delicious. It was nicely seasoned, nicely plated and overall very satisfying. Big serving! The yuca fries was dissapointing as I was expecting more of the typical latin crunchy yuca fries where it is first boiled and then fried. This was more like yuca puree, breaded and fried...think mozzarella sticks. Overall this place is worth visiting. Bring your date, bring your friends, bring yo mama, bring your kids, impress your clients...whatever! just visit, you wont regret it. I quickly consulted The Yelp and found this nice sit-down place, so we came on over and enjoyed a restaurant to ourselves on a Saturday afternoon. (I won't lie - "Ixchel Bakery" caught my eye first for the name alone - but I haven't checked that out yet; we were there for lunch, not dessert.) What caught me first is that the logo sign inside is exactly what Yelp events want. I told them about potentially hosting Yelp events in the future... Anyway, the menu is straight Dominican Republic, and I enjoyed comparing the similarities and differences to my local Honduran restaurant. Some very authentic dishes on the menu here, lovingly and authenticly prepared. We started with a pair of empanadas for appetizer, the res and the pollo y queso. I'm an empanada snob but these have a nice balance of ingredients and flavors, good size for the price. While the mondongo intrigued me, I went with the equally intriguing Yaroa, a Dominican street food with meat and cheese on a bed of green plantains (or fries, if you prefer), topped with ketchup and white sauce. I'm not a ketchup person, but I wanted the dish exactly as it comes, and that's good because it tasted excellent as it came. And it arrived right as we finished the empanadas. The staff were very friendly, but a bit focused on kitchen operations; I did have to flag someone down at one point for a water refill. So that is the one imperfection in an otherwise wonderful experience, and not worth docking a star over. I would absolutely come back here again. The owner was talking potential redecoration, I was talking about trying other dishes - so there are convenient excuses moving forward. :)
