I forgot to take picture of the other food I ate but it was delicious. i got the beef chimichanga and the Tacos i got 1 chicken and 2 beef. Located in a small homey town which was pretty we decided to have some Mexican cuisine. Boy there was lots of options! The beef tacos could have used a little bit more seasoning because it came bland to me. However, the chicken taco was much better. We ordered the quesadilla which came out first and then it took some time for my food to come. I don't know if they thought that was an appetizer, but it would've been nice if they had checked up on us. However, I'd like to go back and try the other food options. read more

Stopped in for an afternoon snack. Nice place with a good menu. The largest issue was that they were out of several menu items. We were there on a Saturday afternoon and the tapas restaurant was out of octopus and lamb chops while offering no substitutions or specials. Overall the food was decent, but nothing special. I don't like to leave bad reviews and I don't believe in all of my years as a Yelper, I have ever left 1 star. I don't believe in wrecking businesses especially in this economy. This place, however, deserves a ZERO in my opinion. Dined with my husband and child on a Saturday evening. We arrived around 6:45 and although it was not crowded it took quite some time for someone to seat us or even acknowledge us despite staff walking around us. (The couple whom we walked in with and right behind, were seated right away.) We waited for a bit and were able to notice the inside space which appeared quite small with a tiny bar and no guests. All guests were outside due to the nice weather. We had two margaritas-very lame, no taste and no alcohol. They offer complimentary tortillas which are stale like and decent salsa. We ordered guac which wasn't bad except for again-the stale tortillas. The minute we arrived we noticed the lame service and it did not end. We held doors for staff and no thank yous. Major Delays with taking our order although other tables were greeted right away. Our first margarita was literally thrown on the table and although ordered salted, barely had a salted rim. Our dishes came out in a timely manner thankfully. Tacos were horrible! There were three and every single one of them fell apart!! My son was super disappointed as he couldn't even hold them up to take a bite. We ordered him an adult meal, not a kids meal, therefore, expected better tacos. Sad that a Mexican establishment can't get tacos right. Presentation was good but the tacos seriously fell apart because they were completely mushy! They should have been placed on a separate dish. We also had the chimichangas which weren't bad but not the best. Also had a platter including chimichanga, flauta and enchilada-again-not bad but not the best. The reason for the 1 star apart from the subpar food is the service! We were treated horribly! The manager appeared to have a bad attitude and the others just appeared to be bored and really didn't want to be there. We noticed that all tables were treated with a smile and attention. We also noticed that they offer guests a set of complimentary drinks (shots). We waited after we paid for our meal, drinks and tipped our usual 20% despite the horrible service, but no shots for us. We asked the waiter why everyone else had received the drinks and why we weren't offered any and he just stared and asked annoyingly if we wanted some also. We declined but just wanted to make him aware that we were left out and he didn't even care. They never meant to offer us the drinks but did to everyone else sitting beside us outside. I hate to say this but we felt like we were treated differently the entire time in comparison to other tables. Yes, sounds silly but we clearly noticed it. We felt very disappointed and genuinely hope they don't continue to treat others in the same manner. Cute area and great location but sadly I would not recommend this place to anyone!!!!! read more

We came here for dinner and will be back! Started with a spicy margarita at the bar which was enjoyable. Then had reservations for dinner and we didn't need a reservation place wasn't that busy. I like how they had the napkins folded on the table. Service was attentive and food came good. Portions were a decent size and reasonable. The food was good, but I didn't like how the flavored margaritas are significantly more expensive than the regular. A half pitcher of flavored margarita is $10 more than the regular ($30), so it comes to $40 for the half pitcher. I didn't notice this on the menu, but I don't think it should be that much more. read more

Walking around the cute town or Piermont, we decided to stop for a Mexican brunch. Tequila Sal y Limon was the first to pop up on our maps and was highly recommended by the locals. There was ample outdoor seating, including a front porch that was able to sit about 20 people. We love how dog friendly the waiters were. They immediately brought us out a doggy bowl. The food was good, a tad on the oily side which is the only reason for the -1 star. We had the chicken fajitas and a steak with mole sauce. The meat was fresh, and we finished most of our plates. The Passion Fruit Margarita was great! Super refreshing and made perfectly. read more

We came here yesterday when we visited Piermont as this place allows you to bring dog ( must sit on the ground floor ). The food we ordered are good and the service are attentive. While we sat on the ground floor, the staffs did come to check us several times to make sure everything is okay. I only gave 3 stars is because I noticed there is this " non cash adjustment fee ( around 4% of total bill ) was added to my final bill without any advanced notice. It seems that the restaurant passes their fee for accepting credit cards on to the customers. This is the first time that I saw this charge on the bill and I was not sure if other restaurants in Piermont also do the same by passing the credit card fee to the consumers or not. I feel the staffs of the restaurant could at least inform customers ahead so the customers could decide whether to pay with cards or cash. read more

On a 55 degree day in February, you bet I was going to drive 45 minutes from Queens to Piermont to bask in the splendor of this quaint waterfront town. After checking out some of the nearby restaurants, my road trip friend and I settled on Tequila Sal Y Limón. My second time here was even better than the first! We sat on the second level outdoor porch which provided protection from the wind. Indoor seating was also available. Their on-the-house homemade tortilla chips and salsa Fresca are as good as the best I've tasted. It was the same waiter as last year, a sweet guy offering friendly, efficient service. I opted for the steak with peppers onions and cheese, medium rare. For $21, the steak was tender, juicy and delicious. The yellow rice was perfectly executed, just a notch above Al dente. The fried semi puréed beans were also fresh and flavorful. The sautéed onions and peppers and Mexican cheese were also bursting with flavor. Their bathrooms are clean and they are one of three restaurants in a chain, all in Westchester. Overall: Service: 5 stars Food quality: 4.5 stars Value: 5 stars My friend loved their take on homemade chicken soup and enchiladas. We've been regulars at this restaurant for years so hoping this is taken constructively. As noted by some other reviewers the service at this restaurant has definitely declined or is inconsistent at best. Drinks don't seem to have much alcohol. Food is super salty and has often been served so fast and not even hot that we wonder how cooked they really are. And with all this prices still go up. One of our all time favorite restaurants ever! We dine here maybe a little too often. It's such a welcoming environment and the outdoor seating is ideal! Even on a rainy day you can sit on the porch, enjoy your meal and watch the storm roll through. The only recent down fall is they have increased their prices without upgrading anything, and at a pretty high rate. What once used to be a staple for us, will now become a from time to time treat. I understand everything is increasing, but I don't think the pricing needed to jump as high as it has. read more

The website for this chain advertises "fine Mexican cuisine". Well, this is no Dulce Patria or Pujol. It doesn't even rise to the level of El Charco de las Ranas. This is basic "Mexican" prepared without the requisite care. To wit: Mole Poblano - an enormous portion of dry, overcooked chicken covered with a thin and almost tasteless brown sauce that pooled oil all along the edges. A mole in name only. A mole whose madre would be disowned by her own hijos. Flautas - maybe the most flavorful thing we ate, thanks to some fresh pico de gallo and crema on top, but again with the dry, overcooked meat? Por el amor de Dios, amigos. Guacamole - fresh and correct proportions of all ingredients except the salt, which seemed to have been forgotten altogether. Kind of importante. Kids' burrito - smothered in a spicy salsa roja and covered in a post-climate-change glacier of melted cheese, not really what any kid is expecting on their plate. Tasted like what you'd file under "burrito" on an airline menu. In economy, of course. On a budget airline. Probably an Irish one. The service was friendly and responsive if not particularly attentive. The outdoor space is nice. And maybe the drinks are tasty enough to justify coming here. So hey, if you're going to kill your tastebuds anyway and just want a stodge in your stomach to soak up all the cuckoo juice, then come on by. We'll skip it. read more

I have been to many Mexican places and cannot say that this one had the best taste. It was slightly below average. The menu was big with repeating ingredients in different combinations. Overall, really enjoyable dining experience. The salsa and chips were a great starter. Do note that the salsa is heavy on cilantro. The service is okay. There was a lot of confusion we had one set waiter, but different ones were serving us back and forth, and some meal confusion occurred, but nothing serious. The chicken and beef burritos were flavored very well. The pulled chicken wasn't bland, which I sometimes find with chicken burritos at loca Mexican restaurants. The rice and beans were a perfect portion size. The food wasn't overly salty, spicy or filling. The views of the street and life in the little river town of Piermont are great. Be aware: Parking can be hard to find in Piermont. I go down Ohio Street and there's a little lot not too many people know of. It's a close walk too! Great food. I'd recommend it! read more

Sangria and margaritas are strong so keep that in mind if you're ordering a pitcher or driving. Service is friendly and on top of things. I stumbled upon this restaurant during a visit to the area. My group and I wanted a place with outdoor dining as we wanted to enjoy the crisp fall air while having a glass or two of sangria. We ordered a couple of appetizers - guacamole and queso fundido - which were both excellent. We then proceeded with entrees which included tamales, a combo plate (enchilada, chile relleno, and tamal), and octopus. We said nothing to each other for the first five minutes as we were all too busy indulging in the flavors and aromas of our dishes. I did notice they were very generous with the salsa on all dishes. I normally do not like too much sauce on my food but the salsa itself was very tasty and complemented the food very nicely. As a final note, the service was amazing. We are here a little after Noon on a Sunday. We ordered the ceviche with shrimp and octopus and were pretty disappointed. We prefer a light citrus where they used a more tomato based sauce and a lot of it. There was no fresh seafood taste, the sauce was overwhelming. It was my daughter's birthday and we decided to venture towards the Piermont area on a Saturday night during President's Day weekend. Considering that we made the reservation at 6PM for 7PM, the mix up when we got there wasn't so unforgivable. They gave our table away to the wrong party and we had to wait about 20 minutes but it was quickly rectified. The service was good and the food was good. I would be giving it five stars but I have to say from some of the reviews I expected super good Mexican food, it was good but not amazing. Ordered a beer and a glass of sangria, wow it was strong. For the appetizer we ordered the sampler that had chimichangas that were delicious. The paella was much smaller than I expected for the cost of $27.95 and it was very salty, so salty had to ask for rice on the side. But my husband's shrimp fajita was tasty and presentation was great. We also ordered a taco salad which was hefty in size and came in a large tortilla bowl and my little one ordered the taco dish that had three tacos, for her the portion was big but for an adult, I felt it lacked stuff inside the tacos. Finally, it was Birthday dessert time and the waiters brought out a dessert with a little bit of singing, I believe it was the tres leches which was delicious. We also ordered some fried ice cream which gets lit with fire when served but one of them was so super hard we couldn't even scoop it until a long while later by that time the crust was melted off but the inside still too hard to put a spoon into. At the end of the evening, our server brought us dessert liquor, tasty and strong but only took a few sips as we aren't drinkers.
