For those blessed/hard working/privileged with the moola to spend, this place probably fit like a glove. After all where some people own million dollar homes, others not so, still others do not own a home. Prices we're decidedly on the upper curve. Recliners that appear nice to the eyes with price tags nearing $5000. Perhaps the quality of their selection exceeds those of neighboring furniture stores, so therefore I was quietly silenced, humbled and wishing a little for more green in my immediate future. Showroom was nice, lady respectful and helpful, but as mentioned left it for the able wallets. On a side note, their restroom did not pamper any higher tastes, as it was, frankly, a little underwhelming. We bought a floor model, quality recliner which developed a problem a year later. When we called the store, they got right on it to make things right. They replaced and repair what went wrong with no questions asked.They even picked up and delivered the chair back to us free of charge. The entire staff was always very polite, kind and curteous from start to finish. We have no complaints, only praise. read more

We bought a bamboo coffee table and end tables here a couple of years ago. Within the first year of owning them, they began to show cracks. We reached out to ask Esplanade Furniture if this was a known issue with this line and although they weren't aware of one at the time, they set a couple of employees out to our house to assess them. They agreed that the tables did in fact have a defect. They reached out to the manufacturer and eventually determined that this was a known issue with this line, which has since been discontinued. This was no fault of Esplanade Furniture's in any way, but let me tell you, they have done everything to make it right. We eventually decided to exchange them for new products and Esplanade Furniture has been apologetic and accommodating in every way. We have been working with Cort during this process and were continually impressed with his customer service and friendliness. The way they handled our situation has made us lifelong customers. read more

Cort is the absolute best and friendliest sales person. He is not interested in making a sale but more concerned with your specific needs. He took a lot of time showing us different options and letting us measure different furniture. He called a few times to make sure we were ordering exactly what we wanted and waited to put in the order until we were sure. Recently, I paid Esplanade Furniture to build a TV Stand using the specifications of a design by Stickley. The end product was beautifully constructed. However, the stainer was not given the correct instructions nor did he see a picture I specifically asked the craftsman, Rick, to follow. As a result, the water-based stain on cherry with walnut did little to enhance the nature beauty of either wood. Instead of highlighting the woods, it colored them a pale blue verging on light gray. The three conversations I have had with Dann Moser, the owner of Esplanade, over this mistake on their part, unfortunately, have caused me to give his business a very low rating, but not because of the quality of the construction. Rather, it has been the confrontational manner of both Dann and Rick when I have asked them to correct their error. Because the TV Stand was built to correct dimensional specifications but not to the correct staining instructions--that is, to match as closely as possible the colors in the photograph I provided--I asked that the wrong staining be corrected. They either are not able to do so or are unwilling. Instead of refunding the full amount because it was not stained properly, and, as a gesture of good will on their part, building a second TV stand unstained so that I could take it to a business elsewhere that has provided me with good service for over 15 years, both Rick, the craftsman, and Dann were less that professional in their conduct and language. Rick seemed to value more his stellar reputation as a builder, a reputation he deserves, than correcting the error and thereby validating Dann's claim that his business has been built on excellent customer relations. Regarding customer relations, in his most recent call to me, Dann Moser used the "F" word, called me insane,and said he never wanted to speak to me again. I don't intend to be in touch unless the refund he said he will send is not received by me in a timely manner. Other than Dann and Rick, the other employees of Esplanade Furniture were very courteous. God bless them. It is perhaps worth noting than when I told Dann's secretary that I intended to contact the Better Business Bureau and she conveyed that message to Dann, he scoffed at the BBB. In fact, Esplanade Furniture is not registered with the BBB. For those of you reading this review, please keep in mind that Dann Moser is a good salesman, but he is of the school that equates bluster with confidence and will try to overwhelm a customer with his homespun view of himself and his customer relations. As an example, he claims that in 33 years of business, he has had only 3 customers who have given him such a hard time as I have. While certainly possible, it is highly unlikely that any business, no matter how reputable, would be capable of such a record over such a long period of time. Caveat Emptor. read more

Oh how we love this store. Customer service is wonderful. We recently dropped a huge wad of cash on a new bedroom set and it is worth every penny. Solid and well built, even arriving before the 6-8 weeks estimated time of delivery. The guys who set it up went above and beyond and were very professional. This business is what Chico is all about. My experience here over the last couple of years has been fantastic. Jenny, Luis, and Wes really define Customer Service. Luis is my sales guy. Patient, knowledgeable, and friendly. He always makes sure I know what I'm buying and what all my options are. Jenny really gets things done. I had a chair break after about a year and she replaced the same day! She is professional and really understands decor and design. When I walk through the door and see Luis and Jenny I feel really comfortable about the level of service I'm about to receive. Let's not forget about Wes. Wes works in the back doing painting and finishing of in house pieces.(I think) He painted a desk and chair for my wife and I.
