They seemed to have a large selection of work by local artists which I think is fantastic. The glass art that was on display was gorgeous, even if they did have quite a few glass pumpkins mixed in there. I'll be the first to admit, I do not get the whole glass pumpkin thing, they are everywhere! Do that many people really like pumpkins? Or are there just that many women running around with Cinderella complexes? Anyway, they had several (non-squash) pieces that I would've loved to have come home with. Maybe next time. The staff at the gallery was friendly and helpful without being overbearing. I would definitely check them out again.

My…read moregirlfriend and I were just looking for a little gift shop to browse all the stores were closed and so we wandered into the frame shop. There is a wide selection of frames custom and regular great selection of clearance items and a huge selection of materials for mattes and frames. There is also framed photography and painting as well as miscellaneous gifts. But by far the best thing about J&J custom frames is the owner Joe. A very friendly gentleman easy to talk to, you must stop by and contribute your business to one one of the last remaining small businesses around.

For my birthday I was given a very large sticker card made by the now-grownup children from a…read morefamily I used to make sticker cards for long, long ago. They all worked on the card and the results blew me away. I wanted to be able to keep it and look at it forever, but it was fragile and needed expert framing. A friend suggested Artistic Edge, and the rest is history. Jessica spent the best part of an hour with me going over all the various possibilities. The color of the frame, the size, the matting, the various parts next to each other, the weight of what would be the final product. She acted like I was the only person of importance throughout all of this back-and-forth as I changed my mind over and over. Finally I was ready, and she said that it would be ready by X amount of time --- probably a bit sooner. Off I went. WEEKS before the date promised Kathy called and said the artwork was ready. When I arrived and saw it displayed I cried --- it was exactly what I wanted and ever so much more! Kathy talked to me --- and LISTENED --- as though I was the most important person in the world at that moment --- I told her all about who made the sticker card artwork and when and why, and she just listened and smiled and chatted and was wonderful. I took my artwork home, hung it up, and took pictures for all the sticker artists to enjoy. Everything has come out perfectly! This is a beautiful, meaningful, lovely piece of art, in the absolutely perfect frame. Artistic Edge did an awesome job --- they respected the artwork, they respected me, they threw their artistic talents into this, and I feel that at the same time they got a kick out of doing it. We all of us have beautiful, meaningful artistic treasures hanging around our homes. I can promise you that if you bring them in, Artistic Edge will give them glory in a whole new dimension! John has always treated the works with great care no matter the media. He has always been professional in his suggestions to frame type and color, always keeping my eclectic tastes in mind.
