Beautiful, small art shop located in the corner…read more My friend took me here because he loves the artist who puts famous buildings and photoshops it in the middle of no where - really great concept! The employee that approached that was very friendly. She explained to us about the artist and how he was able to do it. After looking at that artwork, we looked around the store and found some really interesting place. I found this shop more interesting than most museums, to be honest.

I picked up some great photographs by a local artist here over the weekend. The items I selected…read morewere on consignment and were surprisingly inexpensive, though I felt like the prices on the other items in the gallery were marked up a bit high, but that seems to be part of a larger trend evident at galleries all over the place, so I can't really fault them for that. They seemed to have a large selection of work by local artists which I think is fantastic. The glass art that was on display was gorgeous, even if they did have quite a few glass pumpkins mixed in there. I'll be the first to admit, I do not get the whole glass pumpkin thing, they are everywhere! Do that many people really like pumpkins? Or are there just that many women running around with Cinderella complexes? Anyway, they had several (non-squash) pieces that I would've loved to have come home with. Maybe next time. The staff at the gallery was friendly and helpful without being overbearing. I would definitely check them out again.

The perfect place for arts & crafts lovers!…read more When I was younger, I absolutely adored doing arts & crafts. Now, as an adult, I don't do arts & crafts much. In recent years, however, I have become interested in this hobby again. This why I occasionally visit this store. The inside is large and spacious. They have a wide selection of fabrics, paints, glitter, stickers, paper, etc. It's really exciting passing through the aisles, not knowing what you'll find. I go in knowing what I want, which is why I can't speak about service in this review. But I'm sure employees would be helpful if you had some questions. Some of the materials can be expensive. Now I remember why I stopped doing arts & crafts. Still, this is an excellent store any creative person.

I returned my $86 dollar purchase because NATALIE did not want to listen to how I was ignored by one of the workers. She said the worker was SHY. I am sorry but at work we do training and teach workers to take initiative to help customers and not just stand there staring out into space; that is not shy that is not paying attention and working. Instead of listening to my experience she wanted to argue and call me mean. Natalie shame on you for not training workers for taking initiative, for not listening to the customer's experience. And to top it off you told me that you did not want me back to Michael's and you were glad that Michael's did not get my money. I will be sure to let the corporate office know and I will never continue participating in craft nights or any other store activity at Michael's Natalie when a customer is upset for being ignored while other customers are being looked at and spoken to, you are supposed to try and understand why....not defend the behavior and call it shyness. A worker who intentionally ignores me is strange....I begin to wonder if it was because I was Black because she didn't seem shy talking to the person right in front of ME!!!!!! So Natalie Yes THANK YOU I WILL NEVER STEP INTO A MICHAEL'S STORE AGAIN!!!!!!!! And I will report your nasty behavior to the corporate office! P. S. Michael's selection of yarn is terrible. The variety has gone way down along with their customer service!

For my birthday I was given a very large sticker card made by the now-grownup children from a…read morefamily I used to make sticker cards for long, long ago. They all worked on the card and the results blew me away. I wanted to be able to keep it and look at it forever, but it was fragile and needed expert framing. A friend suggested Artistic Edge, and the rest is history. Jessica spent the best part of an hour with me going over all the various possibilities. The color of the frame, the size, the matting, the various parts next to each other, the weight of what would be the final product. She acted like I was the only person of importance throughout all of this back-and-forth as I changed my mind over and over. Finally I was ready, and she said that it would be ready by X amount of time --- probably a bit sooner. Off I went. WEEKS before the date promised Kathy called and said the artwork was ready. When I arrived and saw it displayed I cried --- it was exactly what I wanted and ever so much more! Kathy talked to me --- and LISTENED --- as though I was the most important person in the world at that moment --- I told her all about who made the sticker card artwork and when and why, and she just listened and smiled and chatted and was wonderful. I took my artwork home, hung it up, and took pictures for all the sticker artists to enjoy. Everything has come out perfectly! This is a beautiful, meaningful, lovely piece of art, in the absolutely perfect frame. Artistic Edge did an awesome job --- they respected the artwork, they respected me, they threw their artistic talents into this, and I feel that at the same time they got a kick out of doing it. We all of us have beautiful, meaningful artistic treasures hanging around our homes. I can promise you that if you bring them in, Artistic Edge will give them glory in a whole new dimension! What a fantastic place!!!
