My husband spent over 20 years serving his country in the Coast Guard to be treated like he didnt matter. Hobby Lobby has made that perfectly clear that the Cosst Guard do not count. But at Americas 250th anniversary to get rid of their military appreciation, the constitution of the United States and pictures of our founding fathers are not as important as there paper party plates. Not shopping there anymore. At the next protest, I'll make sure the veterans know about this. Won't look good.

I was greeted promptly when I walked in on a Wednesday afternoon in June, but that was it. Since reading the poor reviews about the customer service, I decided to take this into my own hands and approach the sales lady with questions and get her more engaged. I entered the store in flip-flops, a T-shirt and jeans by the way. So it probably was pretty obvious that I wasn't going to buy anything. I think that they may have the wrong personality behind the counter at this store. They need to have somebody that's more engaging with the customers. After a few questions and breaking the ice the sales lady did ask me if I would care for a cup of water or coffee. That is a nice perk to offer your customers, but it almost felt awkward. I feel like if the woman would take the time to offer every customer a beverage as they entered, they would feel more welcome. The store isn't exactly flooded with people. I was the only one in there until a couple of ladies came in about 5 minutes later. Perhaps she's afraid she would be spending too much time making beverages , which is understandable. I will return to the store, because I love what they have here and it is well laid out. I definitely get a lot of decorating ideas from walking into the store. They offer rugs, linens, bedding custom furniture, clothing, soaps, table decor, coral, candles, etc. Update: I have had a few more opportunities to experience this store throughout the year (2016-17). Improved customer service. I enjoy coming here.

If you happen to be looking for something specific, instead of the random kind of shopping that I do, talk to Poppy, she is awesome and seems to know what she's talking about, even if I didn't exactly. They also have these cool display tables that have similar products grouped together. The "robot table" is a delight. Vintage Hen is also part of Little Red Hen, which I'm sure some of you have seen around town, so it's for a good cause. They also sell their stuff online through an Etsy store. This place has become one of my favorite downtown spots.

She asked her manager Sara to assist in making this right. Sara declined and stated no discount and that it was not misleading as the bottom shelf had no clearance sign on it. Upon checking out Sara had attitude and continue to tell me that I was wrong on thinking this display was misleading. Maya remained nice and helpful.
