My friends & I did Zoe: Reborn, and honestly, hands down the best escape room I've done so far!! The experience itself was so much fun, although we were def scared 99% of the time, it was definitely worth it. Our scare actors Joey and Matt were so good! It was absolutely the most terrifying yet hilarious experience I've yet experienced. With our team of 5, 3 already surrendered to get removed from the game because they could handle it. Now it was just me and my brother left to finish. It's very intense to say the least, but it's so immersive and worth it if you love horror. I enjoyed this experience SO MUCH. 10/10 would recommend. I personally like getting scared and am an avid fan of scary movies though. For those opposite of me it's a bit difficult to move on being scared and all. There is a tap out option for those who can't handle it, they then just get to spectate while the rest of the friends struggle to find clues. I heard their total tap outs mark up to 45 just this season . This was a last minute decision for my friends and I so we skimmed the description and had only some idea of what to expect (we only knew it'd be a horror escape room). We chose an extreme version which is only available around Halloween time (I think it started mid Sept and will go on till mid Nov) and I HIGHLY recommend it too. Please do read the description though because it is not for the faint of heart. There is a waiver you need to sign to agree to live actors touching you. On their website it lists some POSSIBLE situations like being blind folded, dragging, grabbing, being taken hostage, and being tased (didn't happen to us but would've been very likely if we didn't run fast enough). There will be some running so wear good shoes ‍I lost my sock at one point (they gave it back tho ) Afterward we had a conversation with the owner and he talked a little bit about his passion for escape rooms and how he has plans on switching up the scenarios, characters, and puzzles/clues so that it will be different every holiday and it won't be the same story over and over again. Very upsetting experience. I have done 60+ escape rooms (including other horror rooms such as Murder Co. and Weeping Witch) throughout Orange County, LA County, and even in another state, and I have never been so angry/upset. This is my second time doing Zoe so I already had a pretty good idea of what to expect, but because we have a few first timers with us, we emphasized that we wanted to play "easy" mode since our game master, Avi, told us there would be NO TOUCHING. As soon as we walked into the first room, we were all shoved up against the walls, and one of my teammates was hit in the back with the end of the taser, I was pushed against a wall and was wearing a clip at the back of my head which hit the wall pretty hard and hurt quite a bit. At this point, we had made multiple comments about being touched, when we specifically said we chose "easy" mode because we did not want to be touched, while both Avi and Winston were in the room. As we were running, the actor, Winston, grabbed one of my other teammate's ankle causing him to fall to the floor, hard. At another part of of the game, Winston grabbed this same teammate and shoved him up against the wall. Towards the end we were already very upset and one of my teammates mentioned wanting to tap out at which point Winston came into the room demanding to know which one of us said they want to tap out but seeing the manner in which he came into the room, she had changed her mind because she did not feel safe and did not want to go with him. He then came right up to my face (so close I could smell his breath) and repeatedly asked me who said they wanted to tap out, but I told him they had changed their mind. Winston assumed I was the one who said it and grabbed me by the wrist and started to pull me out, but I pulled my arm away and told him again to forget about it. At the end of the escape room, 3 of my teammates had scratches, 2 of them were bleeding (we took pictures) and it sounds like a few of us are going to wake up with some bruises tomorrow. When speaking to Avi and Winston afterwards, Avi was very apologetic but when we spoke to Winston about how we chose "easy" mode and that we were not supposed be touched, his reply was "when did I touch you?" and gave no apology whatsoever even though it was VERY obvious how upset we were. I lost count of how many times we said NO TOUCHING throughout the game (sometimes even directly into the camera) and if they could hear us asking for a hint them they could definitely hear how upset we were about being touched so I have no idea why nothing was done about it. Touching aside, there were other safety issues which need to be addressed such as nails sticking out on the inside of a chest and broken doors. Also, the only light we had throughout the game was ONE tiny tea light candle which was taken away at one point and we had to finish the game in complete darkness, which caused some of the injuries. In conclusion, yes, we all understood that this is a horror escape room, and we all knew beforehand. I had no issue with the screaming or the sound of the taser, and the intense acting, but our very specific request to not be touched was absolutely not respected. I used to hype this room up to people who asked for escape room recommendations, but this room is no longer on my highly recommended list. read more

This escape room went full-force with its scare factor. From ambience, decor and use of EXTREME DARKNESS, the room actually made you feel as though you entered a horror movie. I can't even count the amount of times me and group camped one corner hoping that Uncle wouldn't catch us. The puzzles themselves do require some thinking, but the main component for success is BRAVERY, however, If you think you're brave, think again. Andrew, our host and actor, singlehandedly went above and beyond to deliver us clues, scare us out of our wits, and became the show stealer of our entire experience. For any future thrill seekers booking this room, I pray you get Andrew cause he is honestly such an MVP; being able to manage the hint system and act at the same time. I have been going to escape rooms for years now and this was by far the best one I've ever done. We participated in the Zoe Reborn room, which we have been told is one of the scariest escape rooms you may come across. It was also my first time participating in a horror themed escape room. My family and I enjoyed it so much, while being scared the entire time. I don't know how to explain it, but there was something about being scared and nervous that made it much more fun. The owners are really nice people and the actors are amazing. Winston, Andrew, and Jacob did a really good job of staying in character and making the experience really fun. Definitely make sure you where something your able to run away, crawl, and hide in. You can also get a little warm from all the movement, so nothing tooo warm. I would highly recommend this escape room to those who like escape room or are interested in trying one. Yes it can be pretty scary, but it's actually really fun. Don't let that discourage you from giving it a try. I would personally recommend a minimum of 4-5 people so you can put everyone's head together to solve the puzzles. read more

Oh no indeed! A group of friends and I did Pinocchio a while back and we had a great experience with Gauge and Jacob. We recently came back for Zoe and well let's just say I've had better experiences at 7 eleven restrooms than whatever this has become. Gauge and Jacob valued guest experience but the "actors" we got for Zoe should be ashamed of themselves. If you call whatever they did a performance than I expect Steven Seagal to win an Oscar next year. After giving a terrible "performance" they than asked 100 something bucks for the footage of our experience. I waited off on this review because I've been waiting for my footage to come through but then come to find out it was deleted! Apparently I'm not the only one that has gotten scammed. I've read some reviews claiming they never received their footage so I now know they do this often. They've probably stolen thousands of dollars. You can tell they only value your money unlike Gauge and Jacob who worked hard for the guest experience. I'd rather give my money to them and I recommend that you do too. If you ever decided to come to this company make sure you ask for Gauge and Jacob. read more

Although I've done over 500 rooms, I'm too wimpy to play Zoe... SO we played Rockband which was a lot of fun. It's easy to be playful in this room, and we all had a good time. Even my 9 year old enjoyed playing the instruments and was able to help with the puzzles. I'm very glad they added some family friendly games. Our gamemaster was Joey, and his energy was infectious! His friendliness and customer service were top notch. Joey went above and beyond to make us feel like valued customers. You can tell he really loves working here. This escape room is a hidden gem in Orange County. I love doing escape rooms and I wanted my boyfriend to experience one for the first time and this place is a great first time experience. We did The Invention Room which was really fun. So glad that this was our first Escape Room experience! We did the extreme level, and our guide Zoe warned us that a taser is used throughout the experience. We were apprehensive at first, but it really did add to the scare factor of the entire game. The zaps were light, and my cousin compared it to being zapped by the toy prank gum device. The puzzles were pretty easy, which was a relief since we were spooked during the entire game. It takes a lot of time to collect your thoughts with the scary music, thumping, and banging. The creators definitely took that into account when building this place. Ali did a great job of chasing us around and keeping us on our toes.
