There were 3 of us who had already done the first Zoe back when Escapade Games first opened. We thought that nothing will ever match up to that experience, but Reborn was a whole another experience. The constant pressure and anxiety of being followed and chased made those puzzles feel difficult but in hindsight, our brains were just so distracted by the fear. I booked normal version for us, but we didn't know Halloween event was still going on so tasing was on the table. BUT! If you follow the game masters direction carefully, you won't get tased. There is so much to say but I don't want to ruin it for anyone, but wear long pants that will protect your knees and shins. Make sure to tie your shoelaces well and be sure to practice fitting in tight spaces to hide! We were a party of 4 because 2 backed out last minute, but I think the experience would be better with a group of 6 or 7. Our game master Vee helped us so much and checked up on us throughout. I think her voice gave us many many moments of relief. Our actors Andrew and Jacob definitely crushed it humbling us with their skills. If there are hard limits for you, you can also communicate that with the game master and/or actors and they'll respect that. Overall, it was so fun and so memorable. For my first escape room I probably should've Picked a not so scary one From the moment we got inside I got this Un natural feeling vibe but the service and the atmosphere was great the worker was friendly and did a good job explaining the rules. Once we got inside the escape room THATS WHEN ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE IT WAS FUCKING CREEPY because I was with only one of my friends we had to wonder in the dark looking for clues and the puzzles weren't too hard though we did get stuck on one and this one puzzle we got stuck on because we forgot to check a bag the house/escape room was very creepy and made me feel like I was in a horror movie and the actors WELL LET ME TELL YA SOMETHING the lady who played ZOEY SCARED THE FUCK OUT OF MY FRIEND He went into the corner and legit got so scared I though we were gonna have to ask them to leave but he fought trough it and we managed to get to the 4th room and we only had 2 more left which for my first escape room isn't bad but we probably would've done better if we had more people. First time ever doing an escape room! My group of 11 did the Zoe: Reborn and it was Such a fun, crazy, and scary experience! Actors Sage and Ross played their characters perfectly! And Team Alpha, Leo, Niko, and Adam were great at informing us about the rules and storyline for the game and were excellent with helping us find clues. After we completed, my group and the actors and team alpha were all just sharing each other's highlights of the night and laughing together. Great experience overall with great people. Best Escape rooms I've ever done!!! We had done Zoe with absolutely no expectations or idea what was about to happen now has become my favorite escape room of all time! Everything was just perfect and terrifying! The puzzles weren't terribly hard but add that layer of absolute terror on top of it and live actor was just incredible! The Last Experiment is also just magnificent!! The atmosphere and suspense around it was *chefs kiss* fantastic! Not as scary as Zoe but definitely still not for the faint of heart. Again the love actors are perfect! The puzzles are harder than Zoe but that's fine as you aren't looking over your shoulder every 2 seconds which is helps you concentrate lol. Absolutely can not recommend these room enough! Will be back with others to replay these games!! read more

The last time I played their original Zoe escape room was pre-pandemic. It's hard to believe there was a time before the pandemic. Zoe Reborn was on our list of rooms to try out after we heard of the news. We all played the original Zoe room. The price tag is pretty hefty ($69 at the time we booked minus a $10 promo) but it is well worth it. The new Zoe room was like 3x the size of the original one and really had the creepy old house vibe with all the hidden rooms and doors you go through. Before starting, you are given two options of normal scary and extreme scary. Both involve getting chased by an in-game character but extreme gets you tazed. They explain that at the beginning. In the original Zoe room, there's also Uncle Rob that chases you around from time to time in order to scare you but he's largely there to scare you. In the Zoe Reborn room, Uncle Rob is more intertwined with the story and there's a bit more depth to him. Yes, he's there to scare you but there's a bit more that I'll leave out to avoid spoilers. You'll notice some elements from the previous room too and others that are brand new or improved upon. At the end of the game, we got to meet two of the employees who played uncle Rob and scared/helped us throughout the game. Thank you Andrew and Sky which is spelled S-K-Y-up-to-interpretation. You were both AWESOME! Each person had a highlight moment during our time there which made it quite memorable. We were moving through a dark tunnel of sorts while being chased by Uncle Rob who was Andrew at the time. Our 4th person was the last one out of the tunnel and we had a good minute pause while waiting for him. We asked, "Yo, dude. Are you still alive?" and we could hear laughing and Uncle Rob saying stuff. You wouldn't believe it. Andrew, played by Uncle Rob, was chasing him through the dark tunnel while also encouraging and telling him, "You're doing great. Almost there!! Keep it up!" in a menacing way. In another instance, the electronic device we had was low on batteries so it repeated something like "device on low battery" or something. We were listening to a narration so we didn't catch it the first few times. Sky was Uncle Rob at the time and entered to subtly but not so subtly replace it while also managing to unintentionally scare us. Sky managed to give us a little scare and good laugh. On her way out, she says "This is a church. Go back to praying!!" as we were giggling. Andrew and Sky were great! I appreciate that the game masters gave us hints to help move us along even though we didn't ask for it from time to time. It worked well to save us time because you end up "wasting" so much time being scared. The guidance from time to time was very much appreciated. So, why the 4 stars instead of 5? Two things ... -The first one was a weak air system. You do work up a bit of a sweat crawling and running while also sweating bullets from being a little scared. The room could've used a few more air con units or fans to keep it from getting a little stuff. -Second complaint was with the sound system for the narration and background music. Eerie and spooky background music was great ambiance but it got too loud at times to where we couldn't hear each other or the game masters. The quality of the sound got a little distorted when Uncle Rob was doing his maniacal laugh on the system. It was a bit distracting for me but wasn't a huge deal breaker. Those are two areas I think the room could still improve on. When I first went into the room, I was pretty full from a late-ish lunch. By the end of it, I worked up an appetite from all the running. Great room. It's worth a try. Please keep us updated on IG when your Zoe Reborn stickers are in stock. read more

All of the employees are great, but special shout-out to Will and Anastasia who made our groups experince really amazing. You should know that Zoe is 100% a suspense and fear based escape room. If you can't handle being in the dark for long periods of time, I suggest finding something a lot less intense. This wast first escape room. Did the "last experiment". It was me and three others (two were randoms & escape- roomaholics) so I felt like we would manage just fine. Pros: the visuals were great. I was definitely Impressed about the way they set up the main room. The game master was really into the character which was fun. Cons: we received a lot of hints along the way (almost made it too easy). Wished they would let us go through it more on our own.. even if we were new. Also, the instructions specifically told us to come early. We did so, not knowing they would also run late (as in we waited outside for more than 30-40 minutes). Definitely wish there was something to do instead of wait in a parking lot. Overall I would recommend. It was a fun first experience and a perfect intro to the escape room world. read more

Have you ever wondered how you'd act in a horror movie? Well, now you can find out! Zoe is an unforgettable, action packed melding of escape room puzzles and participation in a live action horror film! My heart was beating so fast during the entire thing. My friend has been wanting to try out this unique escape room for some time (because she loves horror films and haunted mazes), but it took me awhile to mentally prepare for the fear factor of a LIVE actor that is out to scare you (and can touch you!) I have to say that it was ALL worth it. The live actor is perfectly integrated into every aspect of the tasks that you need to accomplish. The timing is perfectly planned to freak you out to the maximum degree. haha. I will say that the puzzles themselves are not super difficult, but fear makes you clumsier and slower than normal. The clues are straight forward to follow, and the hints are well integrated into the game. Just a tip, their restroom is currently out of order, so use the restroom beforehand. Or you can go up the street to Jack in the Box or Starbuck's if necessary. There is a small parking lot behind the escape room location. The escape room doesn't have large signage outside, but the door will have some signs to indicate that you're at the right spot. You enter at the back of the building. We have tried a couple other 'scary' escape rooms, and there have been some hits (The Darkest Hour at Mission Escape Games in Anaheim) and some misses (The Zombie Lab at Horror Escapes in LA). This escape room stands in a category all on its own. You truly feel immersed in the story because every room feels like you were transported into a room from the latest horror film. We highly, highly recommend this escape room if you like to get your heart rate pumping! haha. read more

This place only has two games: The Last Experiment & Zoe. According to the website, the last experiment has a scare factor of 4/10 while Zoe has 7/10. Talking to the employees, the last experiment has harder puzzles but is less scary. Only one of the two games is going on at once because I believe players would be able to hear each other screaming otherwise. We actually booked Zoe first but decided to back out and do the last experiment instead, which was a very good thing. As an overview, the last experiment was terrifying. Looking at these other reviews, it's definitely less scary than Zoe though. It was lit 80% of the time and there were a few jump scares but not much gore or anything creepy. What made it scary though was the pressure, the flickering lights, and the constant anxiety that somethings going to pop out. There is crawling and small spaces, so be wary of that. You may be singled out of your group and forced to be alone in a room and in the dark, which is terrifying. The last experiment is supposed to be a prequel to Zoe and is recommended to be done before Zoe. It's safe to say that I'm never coming back to do Zoe. There were only two employees, both of which were live actors in our game. They both did a great job and were very nice after we finished. They gave us hints throughout and allowed us to continue even when we didn't fully complete a puzzle which allowed us to finish in about an hour. read more
