Poor quality cleaning some windows, dripped dirty water in several places and did not clean it up, did not secure several upper level screens after cleaning the outside of the windows and charged $130 for 5-10 minutes on gutters. We've hired Ernest three times already, twice at our previous residence for gutter-cleaning and windows, and once at our new house for windows. They did a good job for a reasonable price. In the spring, we received their postcard advertising deck power-washing, sealing and staining. Our deck needs it, so when an Ernest employee was here to wash the windows, we asked for a quote for doing the deck. He took pictures and sent them back to his office for the owner. A few days went by, so my husband texted. No response. So then he called. No call back. Finally, I called one day and asked if they want to quote on the deck or not. Yes, yes, the owner will get back to me, that day. But when no one returned my call, it was clear that they didn't want the job. Now it is fall, and we've received another postcard, advertising power-washing, painting, sealing and staining. I guess they're very selective on which jobs they'll take, but to simply not respond to a previously satisfied, repeat customer is incomprehensible and extremely discourteous. read more

i scheduled service for power washing and Ernstwindows agreed they could perform but later called and said they would rather wait until weekend so I agreed and postponed and just received a call they could not perform work!!! they called at 8pm on Friday when they were supposed to be at our home at 9am. A good tenant mentioned the gutters on the second story of the property might be clogged, they see water overflowing the downspout with a good rain. Boy has it been raining this spring. I have used an Ernest Windows for my. gutters for the past couple years. I decided to have both my windows and gutters cleaned I want to be honest the windows are terrible the gentleman that was here I wont name names was in a great rush, and I can only imagine what my gutters look like inside. He left a bag of leaves in a plastic bag on my lawn. Didn't say anything to me. Usee a squeegee to clean my windows. but did not clean the seals when he was done and left dirty water drip marks on all the windowsills. This is a difficult review for me to write. I had a window of between noon and 4. The gentleman came at 6. That is not really an issue they showed up and I'm always home so it wasn't a problem. The second thing is I was quoted $90 stating in my request for a quote I had a ranch with a walk out basement. After he was done I gave him the check already made out he questioned why that was the amount. I showed him my conversation through Yelp where The quote was. He said it's normally $140 for 2 story. I have used Ernest for the past 5 years no problems. They came to the same house I live in 1 1/2 yrs ago charged me for under 80 Windows, I only did outside. This time the guy cleaned the windows and when he gave me the bill I said what? He claimed I had 125 windows! I said I don't have 125 windows so I said let's walk around and count them. I actually have 88 windows not 125! He also wanted to charge me an additional 30 for 3 window wells which they have never done in 5 yrs. Then the topper was 100.00 extra for picture windows! I said I don't have picture windows they are literally all regular size windows. He said but I had to go on a ladder inside and risk my life and I could have fallen! I said that's why your company has insurance! I said I'm not going to pay a hidden 100 fee and he was texting the owner and I said I'll just call him, no answer confidently. The guy said ok just pay me the 330 ( he wanted 480!). So I did and he left. No sooner did he pull out and the owner called me saying his guy was there all day (9:10-1:30). And I didn't pay him the whole fee and I explained what had happened and said they never did that before and I had been a customer for 5 yrs. He started yelling at me telling me that the prices have changed and I said then you need to be upfront with that cause I never would have done it then. He said I should have gone on their website I said I have a mailer you sent me as a customer and it does not state extra charges. I will never use Ernest again. I also found numerous scratches on my Anderson windows that will not come out. BEWARE! Look at the pictures Ernest! I paid 330, 30 more then I should have! Someone answered right away when I called to get our gutters cleaned and was able to schedule very quickly and easily to have someone come out. Even though I called in mid-Spring when many companies already have been booked weeks out the scheduler said he might be able to have someone come out the same day as my call in the afternoon (I was not in such a hurry and said it was ok to schedule a few days later). One guy came out with a minivan and a ladder. I asked him (and has previously asked the scheduler) if it would be ok to install a chimney cap while he was up there and the guy had no problem with this and did a great job installing the chimney cap (for no extra cost) and cleaning out all of the gutters and disposing of everything at the end. I was at home the entire time of the service and at the end the guy wrote out a invoice for the price I was quoted over the phone and I paid him with a personal check. All complete. read more

A lot of miscommunication for the job and I'm very disappointed. I paid the invoice because it's not worth my time to get it corrected. I noticed the good amount of reviews (some not good too) on yelp, so I decided to give them a try. The crew showed up an hour and a half late without any sort of apology. It was a very hot day, so I could understand that could slow the crew down. On the windows they did clean were done real well, however they did miss a window. Both of the crew members were not very friendly. When I called back to inform them, the owner seemed to question it, as if I could not clearly see if the window was still dirty.
