Confirming what I predicted: Eric gets the job done - and quickly! And very reasonably priced.

Yong's Tailor - What a mess! Arms are way too tight, and he wasn't supposed to even alter them.

    Yong's Tailor

Young's Tailor is hands down the worst tailoring experience I've ever had…read more I dropped off two pairs of jeans -- one being rhinestone jeans -- and was told they would be ready the following Wednesday. When I came back the next Thursday to drop off a suit that I urgently needed for an event the very next day, I found out only ONE pair of jeans had been touched (the simple button repair). The rhinestone jeans were not done at all. Despite this, I was assured multiple times that my suit would absolutely be ready by 1 PM the next day. I was very clear about the deadline and asked repeatedly if this was guaranteed. I dropped the suit off around 2 PM and was explicitly told it would be done on time. Then, at 8:30 PM that same night, I received a call saying: 1. The alterations would now cost almost $500 -- after originally being quoted a fraction of that 2. The suit would NOT be ready on time By that point, every other tailor was closed, and since they don't open until 10 AM, I was left with no realistic chance to get the suit altered before my event. The result? I couldn't wear the suit at all. On top of the incompetence, they were unapologetic and rude. The guy working the front clearly has no idea what he's doing and gave me false assurances from the start. This felt like a bait-and-switch with pricing and timelines, and it completely ruined an important event for me. Unacceptable service, dishonest communication, and zero accountability. Save yourself the stress and go literally anywhere else.

When I picked them up, he had taken them in in the arms and shoulders too, and WAY too much. He tried to fix them, but they do not fit now. He refunded my tailoring fee, but he refused to refund the cost of my now ruined shirts. Beware.

Great customer service & good quality work. Last time I…read morewalked into their shop, I brought in a garment that needed a simple stitch repair along with a pair of pants which needed the length brought up. I handed the woman my repair alteration before stepping into the fitting room to put the pants on so they could mark them. I fully expected to leave the repair alteration with them for a few days along with the pants, but I was pleasantly surprised when I stepped back out of the fitting room area because the woman handed me back my garment with the stitch repair completed & did not charge me for it. I've also had more complicated alterations done to a wool coat & trust them with my garments. I also appreciate their follow up to make sure that their tailoring was done to my satisfaction after I've taken them home.

**UPDATE** After…read morethis review posted, Red Carpet Tailor reached out to me which WAS NOT expected! He was so kind and took the time to hear me out. Let me tell you something, A LOT of the time, business owners/managers see reviews and NEVER respond to them. This reach out speaks VOLUMES to the integrity of this business. That means alot to me! The next time I need an alteration, I WILL give Red Carpet Tailor ago! I walked into Red Carpet Tailor on Douglas Monday morning needing a simple side slit extension. The lady behind the counter was very nice. However, I am very shocked at the price tag for this alteration. Literally, extending an already existing slit in a Chef coat by 3" on each side should not cost $50.16! I could understand if I was needing same day service, but I asked to pick it up in 4 days. To add insult to injury, the coat wasn't even steamed for the price paid. Disappointed

I wouldn't have imagined taking time out of my day to write a 1 star review about a dry cleaner,…read morehowever, my experience this past week with this store was bad enough to warn you to find another dry cleaner in the area. The day before, I brought in two white lab coats and a t-shirt. I told him I needed the t-shirt dry cleaned but just needed the lab coats pressed. He said no problem and they would be ready on Monday. I asked if the was any way he could have them sooner and he replied "Yes I can rush them for you, no problem." Great, I thought I really appreciate your response to my urgency. I go to pick them up the next day and the bill was $35. I asked why it was so high and he responded that (1) just pressing is the same price as dry cleaning and pressing and (2) I asked for a rush so there was a "same day" charge. I asked him why he didn't make me aware that the price was the same whether I had it cleaned or not, and he pointed to a complicated pricing matrix laminated on the counter and told me I should have read the prices. Of course I would have had them cleaned as well if I was paying the same price! Secondly, he said I asked for rush service and there was an extra charge for that (which is reasonable), however, HE DIDN'T TELL ME THAT! I believe he purposely responded to and phrased his response to my question to make me think he was extending me a favor. Never once did he mention there was an extra fee for the favor he offered. I could have asked for detailed pricing line by line before I left, sure. But I figured one dry clean and 2 irons, even if they weren't a cheap shop, it would be fine. He was belligerent and defensive and not once did he say "I'm sorry for the confusion, I should have been forthcoming with the pricing when you dropped off." I wasn't even looking for a discount, rather an acknowledgment that the way he's doing business is not forthright and definitely not a recipe for creating loyal customers. A simple "I'm sorry, you're right, I didn't mention that to you, can I give you a free rush service on your next order?" Remorse doesn't cost a thing and it fixes a lot. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this business. There are a ton of other stores in the area within a mile of this place.
