Eric and the technician (Aaron) I dealt with are professional and best of all, honest. My Lenovo T60 had a 'fan error' message coupled with a terrible grinding sound. I figured it needed a new fan based on the message and some internet research. Aaron gave me a detailed run-down of what might be wrong, how much it might cost, when it would be ready, etc. He also noted that if the cost would exceed the estimate they would call. When the computer was ready, I found out that my machine did not need a new fan after all - instead it was really dusty and needed to be cleaned out. Instead of charging me for a new fan (as we both thought it would need it) and trying to take me for a few extra dollars, they were upfront with what was wrong and charged me a minimal shop fee. No nonsense, hard working, honest, good group of people. My wife uses her computer for her photography and had all of her custom made Photoshop filters on the hard drive. The drive crashed - could not boot up. I authorized them for $400 on labor and the cost of a hard drive and was expecting the worst with a bill of over $500. The total charge, parts and labor was under $250 and her computer came back better than it was before. Faster, and as if it never crashed. Booted right up - driver, filters, plug-ins, data and all. Perfect! They could have easily taken advantage of us, and we would not have known any better - and they knew it. But they didn't. Honesty & integrity... all the way! I am pretty much saying what everybody else is saying and that is that these guys are your final call and small business rules! My computer unfortunately got some water on it and shut off about 2 minutes later and would not restart... she is a goner. Found Eric's on Yelp and everything was so straight forward that when all said an done I bought a refurbished laptop from them for half of what it would have cost anywhere else. They made sure of what i needed the laptop for and tailored one to my needs including a solid state hard drive which was the best upgrade and again for half of what FRY's would have charged. On top of that its got software installed from everyone and everybody...nice surprise. I have an older HP Pavilion desktop that was refreshing every few seconds. I could look at some websites and not look at some others. I took it to Eric's Computers. They work out of their garage like Hewlett & Packard did. I asked them if they could repair and give my computer a tuneup. They tested power supply, hard drives, & memory. They cleared temp. files. They cleaned multiple infections, removed junk, & bloatware. They performed about 10 more tests and fixed things that needed fixing. They fixed my computer and now it runs great. Makes me very HAPPY. I took it in but they brought it fully repaired to my home and doubled checked to see that my printers and network did not have any problems with the newly fixed computer. This guy works fast, if you are getting something repaired, you're pretty much just paying for replacement parts because he repaired my HP laptop in an hour, once he got the replacement screen. Eric's Computers is a small, very skilled `24/7' computer repair shop that quickly recovered my daughter's two partly drafted college term papers on a very urgent basis after my Dell notebook failed suddenly. Geek Squad/Best Buy and other vendors did not have local capability for data retrieval off this PC's M.2 solid state hard drive, which was urgent to avoid a severe markdown penalty (for late submission) from the professors. We took the PC to Eric's Computers on a Saturday morning. They had the M.2 SSD access tool, understood the urgency of our situation, and recovered the needed files from the M.2 SSD within 3 hours, with great relief and gratitude from us. They are a very capable and responsive computer repair outfit, which I recommend highly. read more

This is the second time I ever written a bad review on a company. They are very cordial and very respectful but don't believe anything they said out of their mouth. I took my desktop in for a diagnostic and they told me that it needs a new hard disk, and then they offered me a refurbished desktop of Dell for $390. I thought hey their reviews are stellar and they seem to be trustworthy so their price should be decent. I don't need to check the internet for price comparisons. I showed up at their place and instead for $390 for the desktop, they sold me one for $400 (that should be a red flag) telling me that its a better desktop than the $380 that they were planning to sell me for. Later on I found out that I can purchase the same refurbished desktop for $327 + tax (and free shipping) on overstock.com; newegg; and ebay. I also bought a 350 backup battery (UPS battery) from them for $59.99, which I thought was new but found out that its actually used as evidence from the Quality Assurance Test receipt (dated in 2013) that they had inside the box; and also found out that I can buy a brand new one from Frys for $49.99... I read all of their reviews, and thought hey I can trust these guys, and I don't have to do price check on amazon on Frys. Worse decision I ever made, always check online...very dissapointing...I just hope that they can keep their word about the one year warranty on their refurbished desktop that they sold me. I accidentally sat on my Dell Laptop and damaged the screen so bad that it couldn't close properly. I found these guys on Yelp and I decided to give them a try. When I went to their place, I was a bit skeptical and hesitant. These guys were working out of a garage in a sketchy, "to catch a predator" looking house. When I entered their garage, all the guys introduced themselves and were friendly and I felt at ease. They fixed my laptop for about $200 and they got it done in 2 weeks as they promised. My laptop was in meltdown mode. It was terribly slow and I was getting error messages and shutdowns. Toshiba was giving me hours of long distance "help" from the Phillipines and nothing they suggested worked. Finally Toshiba was willing to erase everything on the hard-drive and install Windows 7...in other words I lose EVERYTHING! Since my whole life is on the laptop I was desperate for a better solution. I read the the reviews for ERIC'S COMPUTERS and decided to trust them. ( Tough trusting someone with your life!) I arrived at the house and Julian, one of the resident nerds told me about the possibilities. He was confident my files could all be saved. Over the weekend the guys found multiple problems, a virus, software conflicts, and that a 32 bit version of Windows 7 had been installed by Toshiba when the 64 bit version should have been. This had prevented me from accessing more memory which I needed for Photoshop. They saved my files, installed the 64 bit Windows 7 and WOW!!!!! my computer is so fast! I can't believe I limped along with the slow operating system I had before! The price was very reasonable too which was an unexpected surprise. Honest, reliable, knowledgeable, reasonable. Love their setup - they work out of a garage in a residential area. These guys are great!! I had two laptops that would not charge. I got on line to research it myself and thought maybe the power jacks had cracked or gone bad. I took my laptops to Eric's who told me it would be about a week. Less than four days later I got a call from them saying it was the power cords (for both!) that had gone bad. They could have easily told me it was something else and charged me more. They said it was unusual for both to go out and to make sure I plug the computers (with new cords) into a surge protector. These guys are the best. You will not be disappointed. AWESOME! I called around to a few places and I just felt a sense of sincerity from this place. I really appreciated they took the time to listen to my issues (and I'm very Type A). The technician and I agreed on a particular service that needed to be done, so I knew what I'd be to expecting to pay. I went to drop of my computer (the company is out of a house) The office space is in a garage. It looked creepy at first but so many people were picking up and dropping off, I thought what the heck take a chance. They had my laptop for a few days. When I went to pick up, the tech said he solved the problem, did a few other things and I came out much cheaper than we agreed. They are HONEST techs who value their clients. My laptop was dying unexpectedly and I couldn't figure out why. I came to Yelp to find a computer repair company and eventually dropped the laptop off to have them take a look. There was a $50 diagnostic fee to figure out what was wrong with it. They ran it for about a week straight and determined there was nothing wrong with it. I had it back for a day and it died again. I was frustrated and I called them to get their thoughts. Eric called me back quickly and explained that by having the laptop on my bed or my lap, I was blocking the flow of air that cools it down. It was automatically shutting off because it was too hot. I wouldn't have found this out without their help. I would recommend them to anyone who needs reliable computer support and wants to help out a local business. We have worked with Julian and Aaron and they are AWESOME! They are sincere and honest and are very reasonable in their rates. They don't try to upsell you on the latest, however, they work with what the client wants and needs. We took our desktop to Eric's Computers after a power surge wiped out our power supply. Julian worked on it and provided great service. A few months later we needed someone to come out to connect our printers and Aaron came out and made sure our printers were connected to our desktop and two laptops and installed anti-virus software and was done in 1.5 hours! Would never take my computer to these people. Guy David tells me computer will be ready the same day that I took it. I call back in the evening and they tell me it's closed. I called back next morning and my computer was still not ready. I then got a call in the afternoon. David said we are having trouble installing a driver for your graffic and if I don't play DVDs or games that I should worry about it. I payed for my computer to get completely fixed.
