Firstly, for those who are skeptical about leaving their dog at a board and train: I got my dog back in a happy state. He seemed to really like his trainers and for being an extremely anxious dog, I could tell he was clearly treated well by people who really love dogs. Next, I want to give some back story on my dog Bentley. He was the definition of a dog you wouldn't want to interact with on a walk. Every dog he saw, every person who said good morning, every child on a bike who road by would cause him to go into a barking and growling frenzy. He'd pull on the leash and yank himself and anyone holding onto him around. I knew I had to get him some behavioral adjustment training because it was stopping me from being able to get him outside to exercise regularly. Enter Vince and his team. When I went to pick him up, I didn't know what to expect, I had high hopes, but I'd dealt with my dog's reactivity and aggression for 2 years, so seeing him behave differently was an odd concept. As soon as they brought him out for the go-home demonstration and introduced other dogs into the scenario, I saw a completely different dog than I had left with them. I was able to walk him by another dog without a reaction, and they gave me the tools I needed to correct a reaction when it happens. Before I sent him to the academy, he would have had aggressive reactions 9 times out of 10 in public. Since I've gotten him back, it's been more like 9 times out of 10 he doesn't react. His heel is great, his attentiveness is awesome, and the few times he has reacted negatively, they were minor and I was easily able to correct him. Which leads me to my final point: your dog isn't the only one who will learn. We got a go-home demonstration for over an hour and the team there was so willing to answer our questions about how to work with Bentley at home. They offer group classes for follow-on training and I'm really looking forward to those. I felt like I was going home not only with a dog that had been given a foundation to succeed, but with the knowledge myself on how to maintain and improve what he'd already learned. I highly recommend if you have a dog you need trained because if they can do it for my dog, I'm sure they can do it for yours. read more

We love EDA. They thought our dog commands and then taught us how to train at home using e-collar that has made a huge difference for our family with our very big very energetic and wild mastiff. Not only are we as pet parents happy, but our young kids are happy and so is the dog because now they actually can be in the same space without us being super freaked out that the dog is going to be wild around them or act out his puppy behaviors on them (he's over 120 pounds at a year old). Of course he still needs to be watched when with them but the difference is night and day. My favorite thing about EDAis that they hold group training lessons every two weeks so we get a chance to train our boy with lots of other dogs around and can ask the trainers questions. They've been great and it was a worthwhile investment. read more

We rescued Cali, a high energy, 1 year old Belgian Malinois, from a shelter. She was a lot to handle and definitely needed to learn some puppy manners. Epic Dog Academy is amazing!! They trained our pup in a short period of time. She's like a new dog, actually listening to basic commands. Enjoyable to take on walks now. Of course, she needs continued practice at home, but she is much more manageable. Management and staff are great. They really got to know our dog, training to her specific needs. Answered all our questions and concerns. They provide group classes every other weekend to assist with her ongoing learning and it helps with her exposure to other dogs of all ages and sizes. We will definitely look into boarding her at Epic Dog Academy, when it's time to take vacation. We trust the staff and we know she will be in good hands. read more

Just had our dog Dakota take part in training with Epic Dog Academy and I'll will tell you first hand these trainers are absolute professionals. Gene is Dakotas handler/trainer and you can tell he absolutely cares about her welfare and training. Dakota had serious obedience issues which would more than likely end in her hurting herself or someone else. After her 2 week in facility training she came back to us ready to take on the world! This company is a little on the pricey side but they never claimed to be cheap. They focus on training that last and more importantly training dog owners to be better parents to their pups. Will keep everyone updated! read more

Have been looking around for a good boarding place since moving to the area last year. Last month my husband & I called Epic Dog Academy to inquire about the process to sign up for a few daycares to give it a shot. Couldn't get through, so left messages and never heard back. It seems most of the reviews are for training so maybe they don't prioritize new boarding customers, which is ok, just would've been nice to have a call back. :) Its a shame we couldn't try it out to see if there was a good fit... but at the same time, I do require reliability and responsiveness out of a boarding facility, so it just wasn't in the cards. read more

Rachel came to our house and groomed our three German Shepherds. She was absolutely amazing. You can tell she loves dogs and takes pride in the small details. We have used other grooming companies and this company takes the cake! Rachel was so kind and patient with our babies. One of the shepherds is long haired and she looked like a show dog after! She dealt with our hip issues and barking non-stop so patiently and lovingly. I'm so amazed by how beautiful they all look. Perfectly manicured paws, clean ears, and de-shedded (if you have shepherds you know how that goes) and trimmed! I highly recommend this company. If you get Rachel I know you won't be disappointed!!! read more

Haley train my dog Beau in the month of August, and taught me sooo much about how to keep up the training. I will forever be appreciative for her tips and how much she treated Beau with extra love and care like he was her own dog! It's been a month, and I feel so much more confident with communicating with Beau, and he continues to progress very well with all the commands Haley taught us! Thanks again Haley!!! read more

Vince and Olivia run a first class operation at Epic Dog Academy. Their facilities are clean and well maintained their entire staff is helpful, knowledgeable and friendly and you can see they all just love dogs! I can recommend them without hesitation for your dog. We did the two week boarding. Boot Camp in our dog came back to us healthy, attentive and happy. Olivia made sure we didn't leave the facility until we were comfortable with our marching orders to continue the excellent training that they did, it was like night and day obedience with our puppy and we have been able to maintain that level of training and it's really become a fun thing for us to do with our dog a couple times a day. We also plan to board our dog there in the future because they do refresher courses while they're being boarded. After our initial two weeks at the camp, Olivia came to our home to do an in-house follow up training and answer the many questions that we have by the way... Our house is over an hour from Epic Dog Academy so it wasn't an easy thing to do. Again, I recommend them without hesitation. read more

Awesome staff and facility! They are definitely worth the money. Would recommend to anyone in the area!

They did an amazing job grooming my very fluffy Great Pyrenees dog! Not only that but they completed her grooming in a little over an hour which was great because she gets nervous when going to the groomer. read more

They are just the best. Look at all their high ratings and skim past these very few one stars. I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else. I'm driving for an hour to get my GSD Rick groomed there today. I always email them if they don't call me back. They are busy. they are that good. I've used them for training, boarding, advice, and grooming. I am so glad Vincent and Olivia are in business!! read more

My carpet cleaning company recommended EDA to help me with training my new puppy, Melody. She was 18 weeks and full of energy. I really only wanted help with potty training and basic commands. Before EDA, she was having peeing accidents everywhere. Just stopped and went pee while playing. EDA gave Melody so much more. Within the two weeks of training, EDA fixed this pottying issue. She is now more grounded and less hyper. They trained her to be in a kennel, which I'm still utilizing until she's older. She doesn't pull on the leash, and knows many commands. She is so smart. They just took great care of her and exceeded my expectations. EDA has already done a home visit to make sure Melody is still learning and receptive to my commands as they have taught me. EDA provides "reinforcement training" two Saturdays out of the month local in Murrieta. I can't wait to see how it goes with Melody. Melody just loved all the trainers, especially Olivia. She reassured me that I'm doing right by Melody. Even recommended a new collar and leash since Melody seems to be allergic to the nickel in the one I had purchased. I highly recommend EDA. You will not be disappointed. Your pet will want to go back for visits! read more

Wow! Daniel with Epic Dog Academy was amazing with our Cooper. He transformed him into a very obedient well behaved pup. We are loving the new and improved Cooper. This was a nightmare of an experience. Please read these reviews before considering going to Epic. Joel is a salesman and Epic is a money motivated business. I never would have agreed to an e-collar but Joel presented it like it was a mild attention getter with no pain associated whatsoever, that was not true. My dog yelped at a 39 setting at pick up with the collar and I was corrected by staff not to react. They will click the E-Collar repeatedly until the dog obeys. We called the e-collar company to find out they used the e-collar prongs for a long haired dog and my dog is a short haired dog. Also they used a prong collar on my dog that I never would have agreed to. I was told my dog needed an anxiety behavioral program that was $1,000 dollars more ($4,000 total), yet how does shocking a dog and physically hurting them reduce anxiety? My dog has a knee problem that Epic was aware of and was told not to overwork her and she returned home with a limp and a torn ligament and required two surgeries instead of one. When asked for a refund I was told "no" by Olivia because services were "rendered" even though Joel explained the program is a year long. My dog still has the same lease pulling issues that we are working on with a high quality harness and lease and treat training. Despite sharing these concerns, Epic took no responsibility but offered "one or two" complimentary in-home trainings. I refuse to accept services from a company that mislead me and abused my already once rehomed rescue dog. read more

If your are thinking about doing training with EDA, this is your sign to do it! I promise you it'll be the best decision you've ever made, not just for you but also for your pet! I've had such a great experience & can't recommend them enough! All trainers have been great with my dog but Olivia specifically has made the training so smooth & so enjoyable! I don't like to leave my dog with just anyone but the love and care she shows the animals makes me so much more comfortable with leaving my pup at the facility. Vince is also great! He is so knowledgeable & knows what training is best for each dog. EDA thank you so much for all that you've done for me, my family, & my fur baby. This training program has made our lives so much easier & now I can take my dog with me in public places & be so confident that he's going to be the goodest boy!! You guys are awesome! read more

it's a one size fits all. using a doberman size dog collar for a small toy poodle. I would not recommend them.

So I was very hesitant at the beginning because I have an unruly puppy that I thought had insurmountable issues. She had to stay a little longer than the initial three weeks, but she came back knowing her commands. I've had to do daily practice with her, but she's getting better every day and every step of the way my EDA trainers are available to help me and to teach me to be a good owner. I'm very happy with this purchase and relieved to have a good dog that I can handle. Jean made me feel really comfortable during biweekly training sessions as well as coming to my house and reinforced the basics that allowed my puppy to feel safe and be obedient so she can hopefully be a service dog one day. read more

Epic Dog Academy is top notch for all your fur babies needs! Training, grooming, mobile grooming, doggy day care and boarding! My experience thus far: my Cane Corso was 5 months when she initially started training. 2 week full commitment which is hard for anyone to give up their fur babies to strangers but a completely transforming experience as my girl got her 9 basic commands down and that's when my homework began as we all know consistency is a must for all of our pups to be successful! Then, there is grooming, I can not be anymore grateful that the groomers treat all the dogs as if they are their own! My girl runs straight to her groomer when she sees her and that is built trust and love! Doggy daycare has been a blessing for us both! I get to run errands and she gets to play and socialize with other pups as well so it's a win-win for all of us! As for boarding, there is truly no amount of accolades that can be given for all they do! I recently went out of country for a week and having to trust someone with my girl is hard but with all the training, grooming and day care services provided, I couldn't and wouldn't trust anyone else! No to mention, medications were given, treats and food toppers were given to her for breakfast and dinner not to mess with dogs daily routine. If you are looking for a place to train or care of your for baby like you do and possibly even better, you can not go wrong with the Epic Dog Academy. Put your fur baby in hands that you can trust and that will give you a peace of mind! read more

Nothing but good things to say. We are so thankful to Vincent Olivia and Arturo. They have been nothing but amazing. We are very happy with all the knowledge they have applied to our crazy boy Gunner. We rescued Gunner a year ago from the shelter. He is a Doberman, and as everyone knows they can be a handful. We did not know what kind of environment he came from, but I knew it was love at first sight. It was very clear to us that we would needed to invest in a professional. I told my husband I would not settle for just any little basic training. I wanted nothing but the best for my new friend. That's when we came across Epic Dog Academy. Thank you for everything. There is no doubt we're I will have any of my future fur friends trained. They are genuine and caring. Thank you. Thank you. read more

We have a Belgian Malinois mix and her name is Lyla. Not good with strangers. Social, but on her terms. Separation anxiety but very affectionate once comfortable with people. It was time to get Lyla trained and we called Vince. He was very professional and informative. Lyla took a liking to him right away. We dropped Lyla off and she stayed three weeks. She learned all commands and we took her home. A week later Lyla's trainer (Jean) came for home visit. He was very helpful answering our questions and Lyla was happy to see him too. So far all is well. We work with Lyla daily for retention, optimistic that one day the e-collar will come off and the commands will be second nature for her. My wife and daughter are looking forward to the group classes. I highly recommend Vince, Olivia and the Epic staff. They were caring and attentive to any questions or concerns we had. We have two dogs that we haven't had groomed, in some time, due to an abusive, traumatizing groom that they both suffered from. It took longer that it should have for us to have them see a new groomer. Not only did Epic Dog Academy get them in on short notice, the dogs were beautifully groomed and in great spirits when we picked them up. Kudos to Mark for being a wonderful, caring groomer and for the entire staff for their kindness, humor and very clear love for animals. Thank you Epic Dog Academy! They were absolutely horrible! The staff was rude and they only train using e-collars. Definitely go anywhere else!

I can't praise this company enough for all they did for our dog Harper and our family! We rescued her and she was so wild and honestly a burden for our family. My husband and I are so grateful for all the work Vince put in with Harper. She had so many bad habits and if she wasn't such a sweet girl, we might've had to give her up. She's been home for almost a week now and she's not even the same dog. We can't believe what she can do now. Every day with her has been so fun now because we're spending less time being frustrated and more time playing with her. Vince taught her 10 basic commands as promised but he delivered that plus so much more. He taught both Harper and us how to communicate with each other and that's priceless.
