Great service! I just moved here from California and I've been dreading the process of finding a new salon. I found this place while running other errands and decided to pop in because I haven't had my nails done in a while. I was apprehensive at first because of recent yelp reviews, but I'm so glad I decided to give it a try anyways! I called ahead to check if they took Apple Pay (I left my purse at home lol) and inquire about wait time. There was no wait (Sunday afternoon) so I walked in and was greeted warmly. The staff is very nice and had a great sense of humor. The pedicure was very relaxing and the tech did a phenomenal job. I also got a full set of Gel X nails and the tech did an amazing job. You could tell both techs are very experienced by the way they work. Both services were done in a timely manner and I was very pleased with the results. I foresee myself coming here for years to come! I highly recommend this salon and I'm looking forward to my next visit! While I was getting my nails done, my nails were burning so bad.I had never felt something like that before in my life.The nail tech also kept picking at my cuticles which caused them to bleed. I am upset as I have to remove my nails due to the pain and sensitivity their acrylic has caused to my nails. I paid $55 for simple white acrylic nails. Also, while he was filing and drilling my nails, the pain was almost unbearable. I am not sure what they put in their acrylic, but it caused a horrible reaction and a burning sensation. read more

I have gone to this nail salon off and on since I moved to VA in 2014 and I've recently made the decision not to return. I started booking with Emma/Emmy? for gel mani/pedi and things were going relatively well. But once it started getting cold I made my typical decision to save money and lose the gel pedicures for the season. Yes I know red stains and so my expectations weren't for perfect toes when I went in for gel removal. It was a long work day so by the time I got there I was exhausted. She KEPT drilling saying "I don't know why you're so jumpy today" when I'd recoil in pain. At the time I didn't realize how much of my nail she'd drilled away, and honestly at that point I don't think it was staining I think my nail beds were just irritated. I told her 3 times that it's fine, I don't need all the staining gone, it's to be expected with red polish. My nails are STILL RECOVERING and flaking off probably 2 months later. And they're cracked and painful when they bend back because they're chipping away like paint shards. I can FEEL the difference in my healthy nail and where she drilled my nails down to tissue paper, there's a very large dent. Further, evidently ripping out ingrowns can make them worse and that was like.. something she would not leave me alone about. Wall of text I know but I'm incredibly disappointed. read more

I've been going to this salon for the last year and a half. The last couple months I stopped getting my nails done because I'm in beauty school and we're required to have short nails. I went today because I have an event tomorrow. I initially asked for a full set with gel French but they asked if they could do dip powder instead, I didn't fuss and said yes. $64 dollars (before gratuity) for a full set with dip powder.... I was in and out of the salon in an hour. I was shocked. The prices on their website are definitely not accurate. I learned my lesson that I'll never sit down to get my nails done until I know how much it is. My daughters and I went to get our nails and pedicures at Envy. Overall the customer service wasn't the greatest but it also wasn't the worse. The lady who did my pedicure, which I can't remember her name was kind of rude. She kept rolling her eyes and was on her phone the entire pedicure. My daughters nails turned out ok but they didn't get what they asked for. Tiffany did my nails and she cut me to where I was bleeding. The lady also cut my daughters fingers to where she was bleeding . Tiffany did my eyebrows and it burned so bad. I've never in over 20 years had my eyebrows waxed and it burned like this. When I told her it was burning really bad, she basically ignored me and kept doing what she was doing. On my drive home they were burning even worse as if they were on fire. No exaggeration! Instead of going to the store, I came home and under my eyebrows on both side had red marks that looked like burns with the skin ripped off. I called the salon and explained to them what happened they put me on hold and then hung up. Called back again and in so many words told me there's nothing they can do and again hung up! I put aloe on the burns to try to soothe them. The next day my eye lids and eyebrows were so swollen and bruised! I mean it looked crazy and scary at the same time!! It took 6 days for it to begin to look better and for the swelling to go down. After spending almost $300 and the lack of care of the service provided, I can assure you I will never EVER return! It was extremely unprofessional and I'm not asking for a full refund. A apology or a incline to care would have been nice. The picture included is after 5 days when the swelling started to go down. Oh and let me not forget she messed up my eyebrows and made them uneven and skinny!! Never again!! I visited Envy nails as a birthday treat on July 26 -2024 . The gel polish bubbled up and was so thick and uneven . The owner asked if I was happy .I showed him my nails he said he would fix it. I asked for the gel to be removed. He passed me off to another person who allowed the original nail tech to stand over me and glare at me. They still charged me and I have no polish on my nails. Tom did my nails and honestly I'm so satisfied. I'm definitely coming back! I really don't trust new ppl on my nails but I didn't want to book a flight just to fly back home so my friend brought me here. I came in with a full set ombré (that I previously had done back home) and he did a fill and a cut down. I just loved the way they came out. Plus it was only $35 which is really reasonable. Trish always does a great job and has great attention to detail, making sure the nails are even on both hands and that there are no blemishes when getting the dip manicure. I love that they honor appointments!! (unlike other salons in the area that have you wait well past your appointment time and then stick you with a random technician and not the one you requested). They also accept walk-ins and they are honest if they are busy and if it will take a while to be helped, they let you know and ask you to come back another time or the next day. I love that they respect people's time! Before I found envy, I used to dread getting my nails done because I never know who would be doing them, the quality I would get, and how long I would have to wait to be helped. I have been a regular at Envy Nails. I do like the quality of service, but twice I have been quite disappointed. On two occasions, I have had a 10:00 A.M. appointment--now keep in mind they are supposed to open at 10:00 A.M. Both times I have waited outside for nearly 15 minutes for someone to arrive and open the doors. This past time every employee was not only over 15 minutes late (doors unlocked 7 people let in at 10:15), the person with whom I had an appointment with was 30 minutes late. Trish was absolutely fantastic! I stopped in on a whim because it was close by work and traffic was awful getting home and I am so glad I did! This place has gone downhill and 26MAY19 was the last time I'll visit. On the 24th I requested via the FB appointment scheduler for an appt. on Memorial Day. They were closed, makes sense, no problem! They asked what date I would like to reschedule and I requested the 26th. They told me not to make an appt. and come on in. Because I had other things going on, I chose to go to Envy at 1200, got there 5 minutes after opening. At that point there was already a 25 minute wait. Patiently I sat there, assuming they had no appt. slots and that's why they didn't let me make one. I watched at least 2 women walk in, be told there's an hour wait, and made them appts. for later that day. I'm irritated at this point because I would have taken any appointment slot, why couldn't I make one when I initially requested? This would have been worth it except the male manicurist I had acted too good to even look at or talk to me. He rushed through my manicure, left my arms sore a day later, didn't use cuticle oil, half-ass lotioned my arms and sent me on my way. Now a week later the gel is lifting on one of my fingers, and I've NEVER had this issue. My gel manicures tend to last 2-3 weeks, a month if I'm busy (though grown out). I left a review on FB and not a single response aside from my friend that noticed my review. This is unacceptable. I'm glad you guys remodeled and the place looks gorgeous now, but your customer service is not. I'm very disappointed, as you guys were my go to. read more

Very decent nail salon. I've been here twice. First time: It had been about a year since my last pedicure. They did a good job at shaping my nails to my desire cut and the paint job was good. The second time (5/24/19): I cut most of my own nails down, but needed a more uniform cut, cuticle work, and a paint job. The pedicurist didn't really give me a uniform cut so I had to cut them and shape them at home. The ones that were cut at the nail salon were uneven, but the paint job was good. White is hard to do, so they were able to nail it (no pun intended) for the most part. I say if you need a pedicure and don't intend to give a lot of direction they are excellent. If you are someone who is a little more direct, specific, and particular you may leave disappointed. read more

My nails have this disgusting green bacteria after having my nails done here. Even though I'm 5 hours away - 5 days later- they wanted me to come in so they can see it. Never told me what to do to get rid of it- just 'take the nails off'- no kidding. I've never had any problem with my nails at any salon ever. I want a refund as no one pays to get a bacteria. I will have to buy something to get rid of the bacteria and not have my nails done for how long? I have no idea. I highly suggest not going here. read more

This was a first time visit and I could definitely see myself returning. It's located in the Trader Joe's shopping center on Laskin Rd however, I almost missed because the signage kind of blended in too well. Anywho, I was greeted upon entering and taken right back for my pedicure. The shop is clean with plenty of nail stations and pedicure chairs. I was serviced by a very pleasant young lady named V. She was polite and did a great job on my toes. The foot massage almost put me to sleep. That's a plus. The prices are reasonable with no hard pressure to upgrade but love that there are options. I came in as a walk-in since the other nail salon rudely turned me away since they were "about to close"...anyway. So I yelped this place and it came up as the closest salon that was open, located in the Hilltop Plaza shopping center (next to Skinny Dip). It was about half an hour before closing and I was reluctant to even walk in because of the prior experience I just had minutes before but they were very welcoming when I asked for a spa pedicure.  I was told to take a seat in the spa chair after choosing a polish color. They have plenty of polishes to choose from, but not as many colors in the OPI brand that you typically see in other nail salons, but no biggie since they had a vast selection to choose from. Now...I only go out and pay for a pedicure every once in a blue moon (I don't like people touching my feet, lol) but Lena did an outstanding job. Henry is also another person that was working that evening and he was just as friendly and thorough. Even though it was already near closing, I didn't feel rushed at all. This will be my new spot whenever I'm in the area, and may even come back in a few days to get my eye brows done! read more

If I could give them 0 stars that's what they would get. Very rude. When I arrived no one greeted me. The male sitting to the front is very rude he made some joke and started speaking in his native language and everyone laughed. I asked for a soak off because I had REAL GEL on my nails the lady tried to tell me it wasn't gel that it was acrylic. I know what acrylic is and I know what gel is. They don't use gel which is why she doesn't know. They were very nasty. Even after I asked for a soak-off she still tried to take them off by prying it off my finger. I ended up leaving. I came here to get a soak off before my real appointment but I wouldn't give them $1. I wish I would've read the reviews before. I only stoooed here because it was in the same plaza as Trader Joe's. Trash customer service. Whoever the little man was in the front, that made the joke, has an horrible attitude. And whoever the lady is that sits at station 5 has a bad attitude as well. Pedicure wasn't very good. She didn't do any exfoliating, no cheese grater, just swiped my heel once w/a pumice stone... the exfoliation is the primary reason I get pedicures! I can slap nail polish on my toes at home. Language barrier was there so I couldn't communicate what I wanted to be done. I have never had to give a negative review but unfortunately, this is my first. I've been getting my nails done since 1983 professional. That is nearly 40 years. I've traveled all over the US as a former military wife and kept up my nails wherever we "landed". I recently relocated from Florida to Virginia Beach and was looking for the best nail salon I could possibly find. In doing so I had been to 5 different salons. I decided to go to Envy Nails in Virginia Beach. I was most impressed with my first visit there. The young man who did my nails was 'spot on' with what I wanted! Elated.....I went back a 2nd time and decided "Finally, This Nail Salon IS IT! I had a gel pedicure and a fill. It cost me $105 for both. I no more got home and noticed my polish was bubbling and peeling off. I called and explained and a gentleman named Tom was very apologetic and told me to come back in which I did the next day. He asked me what time I'd be in, I told him, he then said he would put it in the schedule as an appointment so I could seen right away - he even apoligized that I had to return. No worries - as long as my nails got corrected I was fine with it all. I arrive at the Salon only to be told by a woman up front that "you don't have an appointment and we're all busy right now. Do you want to come back?" What???? So I told her no I did not want to come back that "Tom" made an appointment for me. So instead of having the same young man who did my nails originally? They had the gal who did my pedicure "start" to take care of me. Suddenly she jumps up because she had a woman walk in that wanted a pedicure. I was then told it'd be an additional 20 minutes until I could get seen. This after spending $105 in this shop. I waited and while I sat there FINALLY getting seen, the same woman started scolding me in a "tone" telling me I didn't dry my nails properly the first time, indicating it was MY fault the polish came off. If the Nail Technician tells me "You're good to go now, You're all done" - How is that MY fault??? You're the professional - I take YOUR lead. If you tell me I can go - I go. So needless to say it was not a good experience. The young man that did my nails and also Tom were very nice and very polite BUT the young woman up front needs to speak with a kind tone - so once again, I'm on the hunt for yet another Salon. I also think when you have a customer who is American and you're talking in your language to other nail tech's that this is very rude - especially when you know they're talking about you - it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this out.......... read more

If you're looking for a quality pedicure and at least average service, don't even think about going here. Did my toenails get a new color on them? Yes, did I enjoy my time here? Not one bit. It'd be nice to be told ahead of time that there's gonna be 40 minutes of me sitting in the chair before I'll be helped, also when I do get helped not to have the polish job get messed up before I get left at the drying station for 30+ minutes. I have been getting my nails done for about 15 years and I have never had as many nails break as I have since I started going here! I do not have a strenuous job so there is absolutely no reason I should keep having nails break! The last nail broke on my right ring finger and all I did was pick a cup up! Everytime I go into this place to get a full I am asked where I got my nails done before...each time I say here they are surprised! Today I will go into get the nail that is broken...(considering my last full was this past Sunday) then I had to get a broken nail fixed Thursday and that very night is when my nail broke!
