Went here today because it was convenient for the location but should have listened to the reviews. Asked for a French tip gel manicure, got Tammy. From the moment I walked in, I felt rushed. She only talked to me once at the beginning when she asked what I wanted but otherwise she did not ask for length, shape, if it looked okay, or anything which I usually get from other places. It took 15 minutes for everything when it usually takes 30 minutes at other places. She knicked me twice when doing my cuticles to the point where I started bleeding. Also left bubbles and paint on my fingers. Very careless. Not worth the price. You can definitely find a better place else where. read more

I have been going here for about 5 months now and they haven't messed up my nails once! This is the place to go!

The first time I went here I had such a great experience and my pedicure was so perfect I thought I had found somewhere to always go back to. Not the case.... The last two times I returned the nail tech spoke ZERO English outside of "yes" and "pretty." The first time this happened it wasn't a big deal because she went and got the manager who did speak English. The second time I went and got another tech that kept asking me questions about what I wanted but didn't understand any of my answers. She had to grab the manager 3 times before we even started the pedicure. In my opinion, it doesn't matter how nice a nail salon is if you can't understand what I'm asking for. It's a service industry. Services can't be provided if there's no ability to comprehend a request. I walked out with damp feet and found a different salon that could understand me. I got my nails done 5 days ago. They did not push my cuticles back and the shape is not right. They filed down the sides of my nails to get them to match the tips they put on instead of putting on the tips that would actually match my nails. I paid $75 for these.. I've spent $50 for nails that look better than these. Both of my pointer fingers are crooked and so are my thumbs. I will never go back to this place. Oh and my paint is already chipping. My girlfriend went into Luxury Nails II to get her nails done again and to be honest every single time she goes, there is always something wrong. They always tend to break within 2 weeks. The nail tech seems to rush her every time and this time. All the nails in this photo have a very prominent slant to the left. They are not straight at all. This was done by their manager which seems to be the last person that should be doing any type of nail services much less be managing an establishment and letting customers leave paying for services of this "quality". You should be ashamed of yourself for the amount of pride in your work. Please refrain from going here at all costs. Take your money elsewhere. read more

This review is only regarding the lady who did my spa pedicure yesterday. I've been going to Luxury Nails 2 since 2019. I usually go with my fave pedicurist, Tina, but she was off. So I had to go with whoever was available. I sat down in the chair and the nail tech got the packet of nail tools from the sanitizer, opened them, and dumped them on the cart like normal. Then to my utter shock, she took the newly sanitized nail cutter that was supposed to be for my feet, and cut her own nails! Then she used the file from the sanitized pack and filed her own nails!! So, I'm in shock and just let it slide. Now comes the torture. She is super heavy handed and I have a high pain tolerance. She starts cutting the cuticles and she is basically cutting deep to where it feels like I'm getting paper cuts. But when she got to the big toes...it was horrible. I'm genetically prone to ingrowns and every other nail tech has been super gentle and asks if it hurts. This nail tech just cut and ripped every single side. Didn't even ask if I was okay as my toes were basically turning purple from trauma. I said...that really hurts and she just ignored me and kept going. On my left toe, she dug in there so hard with the sharp tool that it started bleeding. She used the towel that you put your feet on to wipe it. Once again...didn't ask if I was okay. Then she filed. She filed my toes down so hard that it started bleeding under my big toe nail. She cut my nail so short that she was filing the skin under the nail beds. When I told her, "can you stop? It's already been bleeding?" She didn't say anything and wiped it off. She walked away and I told the nail tech next to her that my toe is bleeding and she said ...oh I'm sorry...she filed too hard. She put some sort of antiseptic on it, but my nail tech never apologized. After my $85 pedicure was over, she didn't even help me put my shoes on when my feet were slippery from all the lotion. I wish I would've spoken up from the beginning to tell her she was hurting me. As customers we are paying for a service. So now my big toes are basically infected, swollen, and throbbing from her carelessness. From now on, I will only book with Tina. It was the worst pedicure of my life read more

Went for a jelly pedicure. Never got to feel relaxed. Never got my massage. Well, maybe I did if you call slapping my leg a few times count. The warm towels were only put on me for about 3 minutes. I got gel nail polish on not knowing they would charge me an extra $20.00. They say it's on their website. No where is it on their website. The lady cashing me out said she would have the manager call me. Guess what never did. So I paid $135.00 for 3 gift cards and got horrible service, a horrible pedicure. The manager is rude and has no idea what she is doing. My feet feel like sandpaper still. I don't mind paying the money for good service. I learned my lesson not to go back to this place again. Was a walk-in. Felt very rushed the moment we walked through the door. From signing in, to picking a color, to choosing a package. Pedicure was was also rushed, I finished like 15 minutes before my partner and it was just ok. My feet feel better however I still have rough spots on my feet that didn't get buffed, and the nail and paint job is just ok. My partner did ask to fix her nails so they were the same length on both feet as well as wipe all the wax off from her feet. I'm not sure when it started but I miss the days of them taking their time on the massage and then taking pride in their work. read more

Pricing is a RIP OFF! beware!! they hide so many fees so be aware when booking! I went in asking for a Gel French manicure. I was charged $35 for a UV light gel fill, $5 for a nail repair, $5 for shaping (nothing new! just a typical file for my same shape) $15 for the clear gel for the base of my french, and then $10 for the white tip part! this is ridiculous! "French manicure" includes both the nude and the white tip. but they charge for it separately. filing my nails should be included in my base $35 charge. None of this is advertising pricing! so be careful. read more

Average nail shop with plenty of space and lots of pedicure seats. Clean and the employees are nice. I found the price of $45 for the most basic (30 minute) pedicure to be higher than many places and the return on $$ isn't really there. She rushed through my entire pedi like there was a fire. They were closing in 30 minutes so I'm not sure if that had anything to do with it. She also said I couldn't get a lighter color on my toes because it wouldn't show...never been told that before. I think she didn't want to have to do multiple coats since she was in a rush. Probably won't be back...I can get a rushed pedi for $25 elsewhere. read more

I don't often get my nails done but when I do treat myself to a manicure I come here. I've gotten a manicure here about 4 times and each time my nails turned out nice. I always get the gel full set and they last about 3-4 weeks. The salon itself is nice and clean. The staff seems nice, too. While I had a less than stellar experience here the first time I came in, I have a much better time more recently when my Mother-in-Law and I decided to get pedis together. I was VERY pregnant and they treated me like royalty. I was very impressed by how talkative and kind they were (very different than how I was treated when I came here about a year ago), and was comfortable the entire time. One thing I REALLY LOVE about this place is that their pedicure space is totally separate from where they do their hands, so the smell of acetone and acrylic is not right in your face the whole time. The space set aside with pedicure chairs is lit differently, more relaxing, and quieter than the other space where hands are done. They do have a standard $20 pedi, but the menu that they hand you starts at the $35 spa pedicure.... if you're just looking for a quick soak, a trim, and to have your toes painted, the $20 option may be your best bet. However, it's totally worth it to spring for the $35 experience as they pamper you and you leave relaxed. So glad they've improved so greatly, since they're right around the corner from my house! :) read more

I've been coming to this shop for a couple years now. Not necessarily because they do a good job, but because it's so close to my house and there's hardly ever a wait. I've also told several people about them, bringing even more business. However the last time I went there, the tech INSISTED that I get gel polish the entire time I was getting my nails done after I told her I wanted regular polish. She asked me about 5-6 times. After she got the hint, she was extremely rude to me and rushed thru everything. After she was done and I sat down at the drying station, she said "Ok that'll be $___" and proceeded to reach into my jacket pocket, grabbed my wallet, and asked "Which one? Is it the red one?". That day I had on a jean jacket and my wallet was somewhat sticking out so it wasn't hard to grab. She took my card up to the front and brought it back with a receipt. Honestly, I was speechless at the time because I couldn't believe what was happening. I can't believe that she was bold enough to go into a customer's wallet and pull out their credit card. So not only was I disappointed with my nails, I was appalled at her behavior. Completely disrespectful. I will never step foot in this place again and I am making sure to let the people I recommended them to never goes there again either. FYI: I started going to Angel Nails right down the street (on kempsville behind 7-11) and the 3/4 times I've been there have been really great. read more

This used to be my place, but the individual who did my nails left. I was greeted at the door by a rather eager, very young girl. I should have taken a seat and waited for someone else. A gel manicure should last longer than two days. It's already chipping. The pedicures are usually very soothing and relaxing, but it felt pretty much like someone just putting lotion on my legs. Maybe she will get better with time, but for me it's very frustrating and feel like I wasted my money. read more
