I'm not a manicure girly, I like my hands to be short & without acrylics or gel tips. Occasionally I do enjoy a nice set every now & then BUT it's rare. I come to this location again & again bcuz I get their basic pedicure service! I'm prone to ingrowns & they are not afraid to get my hard to reach ingrowns. Idk about you, but it can be painful but over the years, I've built a tolerance to the discomfort when someone is digging into the sides of my nail bed to cut out an ingrown, I stay quiet & completely still, so they can do their job, and give me relief until our next visit. Occasionally I get gel polish, but generally avoid gel polish to keep my costs down, but that's just my preference. I love that they continue to give me top tier service. I don't care much for having colored nails, i don't care for massages, or any other added services, so I keep a basic pedicure routine. I just care about my pedicurist being able to get my ingrowns. They also get my callus areas as well which is great. Worth the money!! read more

The young man repeated my services request and told the technician. This event was to celebrate the arrival of my second grandchild. The technicians use filthy files. I asked for new one. The younger girls did not know to ask. NOmassage. Just polish. They up charged for gel manicures. That added an ADDITIONAL $45 to the bill! The added insult was to pretend as if he didn't understand. The gel and color come off the next day. (Today! )That was sad. And you are purposely ripping people off. Of all the salons on that street. I definitely choose the WRONG ONE. Today was my 2nd time visiting this salon. This visit was for a much needed pedicure. The place I normally go to was not opened on time and I got tired of waiting so I left. Luckily I remembered this place because my mom and sister come here for their pedicures. I was able to get right in a chair when I walked in, no other customers were there at the time. It was around 11:30 on a Sunday. The woman who did my pedicure was very friendly and did an amazing job on my spa pedicure. I am definitely a gel polish type of gal and I was happy to see that there are more than enough choices here. I typically do not carry cash- for several reasons. I noticed there is a small sign at the register that asks for cash tips rather than tipping on the card. I still tipped on my card because she did a wonderful job but next time I'll remember to bring cash. read more

I have been going here since 2010. They have been absolutely wonderful. Even when they are busy they try to take care of you as best as possible or let you know it may be better to come back. You can make an appt but walk ins are accepted. I usually walk in and have no issues getting taken care of in an efficient manner. I am thrilled to see that they are still in business after the pandemic. They are a very respectable business. Be patient and try not to go when you're in a hurry. Very impressed with the service done here. I usually live in D.C. and go to nail salons there, but was in town for family. They treated me really well and my male tech really took his time with my service. I had gel acrylics that I wanted to come off and he really took his time to make sure they would come off properly. He even brought me bowls to soak my hands in (freshly heated) and another bowl with new soap water so that I did not have to get up and wash hands as he was working between my hands. He then took his time doing my gel manicure (nice selection of regular gel colors btw) and finished with a quality hand massage. While he did not talk too much, it was a relaxing experience and they had the news on both of their TVs for you to watch. Wasn't too busy when I came (around 4:45) and only 2 other people came in when I was there. I've been to other nail shops in the area and this one is my favorite so far. Quality service and affordable prices! Will be coming back when I'm in town. read more

What's sad is that this place doesn't even deserve a star. The old man does not know how to file nails without hurting the customer, nor does he know how to make any shape even. Even though the old man was stabbing his nails into my hand, I let that go. He continued to file and ruin my nails. He messed up the length, the shape, everything. When it came to putting the polish on, he was laying on 5 layers making it thick and uneven and clumpy. Then. He started peeling and breaking my actual nail. At that point I said I do not want your services and asked the owner for a refund. I told the old man to stop and I don't want him touching me. You want to know what he did next? He FORCEFULLY, let me repeat, FORCEFULLY YANKED MY HAND TOWARDS HIM. THAT IS ASSAULT. You CANNOT forcefully grab someone's hand after they decline consent. read more

They were understaffed on our visit (I should have turned around and left right when I got there and noticed)...which translated to a distracted mani/pedi. Not exactly an enjoyable pedi experience when the woman gets up 15 times to answer the phone and talk to the walk-ins...took so long the water went cold, but the whole pedi still felt rushed during the times she was actually working on my feet. This place is pretty decent for a cheap pedicure. I came here with a few girlfriends and they're definitely understaffed for the number of people that come through here. I'd suggest you call first. They used to be HUGE, but cut the place down to like 1/4 the size it used to be. Probably a bad idea, it's a little cramped. They try their best to get you started, but you'll be waiting while your feet turn wrinkly in that foot bath. The pedicure seemed rushed, but still did a decent job for a standard pedicure. It's $20 bucks, so pretty average pricing. I don't really get my fingers done due to the work I do, but I gotta make sure my toenails are on fleek for the upcoming warm weather. The woman I had wasn't a talker, which kind of made the experience awkward, but overall, it was an okay experience, I just hung out and watched bull riding on the TV. I went here to get a pedicure and manicure. I waited for 22 minutes as they were busy. This is expected since I didn't have any appointment. I opted for the pedicure first. The employees talk in their native language which makes me uncomfortable as I believe they were talking about me. I told the male tech I didn't want hot towels in my leg nor did I want it massaged. The mosquitoes have been having a field day on my legs so I politely declined both services. What does the Neil tech turn to do immediately 1 minute after I asked him not to? He put hot towels and beat my legs to death! To make matters worse, I didn't see an Autoclave in the shop. This device sanitizes the instruments between use. 2 stars because the pedicure was great & so was the price. The problem was with my nails. I asked for a fill-in & French manicure. I keep my nails short & I asked the tech to SLIGHTLY shorten them. He filed them down to my fingertips. I noticed that 1 nail wasn't completely covered with acrylic on 1 side. I pointed this our to the tech & was told he would fix it by filing it. He then used a smoothing drill bit to flatten & thin what was left of my nails. They look absolutely AWFUL. I told the tech I didn't want polish because I now had no nails. I used to really like this place and go every couple of weeks for a fill-in of my acrylics. But they only have 1 person that does acrylics, and the last three times I've gone in - he hasn't been there, and they just tell me "come back tomorrow". I went to get a full set, coffin, white nails. My nail polish was not drying, I stayed for 2 hours trying to get my nails to dry. It didn't work, the nail on my index finger wasn't straight, the guy doing my nails cut my thumb, my nails weren't nail polished correctly, there were many spots that he missed filling in. The coffin nails weren't all the same shape. Some were skinnier than others. Worst nail salon I've ever experienced. read more

I used to love this place, but not after my last visit. Their nail polish selection is not good, but that is not my issue. I went to get a fill for my acrylic nails and the polish and design were very messed up. One design was smeared and the other just looked awful. There were also several other issues with the polish. I left and came back to have them fix it. He was VERY rude and snapped at me while fixing it. In addition, he did not fix all of the issues I had with my nails. He fixed the awful design but not the smeared one or the other issues with the polish. I was too shocked at his rudeness to say anything else. I have used them multiple times. I get manicures, and I usually end up with cuts all over my fingers because of my 'thin skin'. I ignored these just thinking maybe I got a bad girl but it has happened twice, and not just little cuts. Also, I scheduled an appointment today. I called in and asked if I could have an appointment at 11 and she continuously harassed me into coming in immediately. I said I could at 10:40. When I arrived at 10:35, she came up to be and told me that she had some walk in come in and she no longer has time for me, would I mind waiting an hour for my appointment. Not only was this unprofessional, but it was the entire reason I called, to avoid this situation! It was also ridiculous that she rushed me to get in as well as ask me to wait for an hour. I feel bad for the people there because there was 3 people waiting for pedicures and only 1 lady working. read more

Very bad experience. Went 3 times Chinese old man of the salon wants you to grab a seat as soon as you wall in and says its just 5 or 10 mins wait but it takes more then 30 mins every time. They all talk in there own language. when few customers mentioned that it would be appreciated if they talk in English the owner got mad on customer. A new person who did not even know a single word of English and no knowledge of nails was told by the Chinese old man to help me which I never asked for. He was shivering while he tried to file my nails. I still did not say a word to anyone. I just asked how long will it take as I was there for 45 mins just to take my nails off he got mad on me that they are busy and it is the wait and started to shout in his own language. AND told me to GET OUT of the location as I told him to talk in English and coach the new person first before letting him work on the customers. TO MUCH ATTITUDE for what there is a nail salon on every corner of the street. HE THINKS HE IS THE ONLY ONE IN THIS BUSINESS.
