I found TBC via Groupon and Yelp cross reference. It all worked out as the services received were on time, efficient and affordable. Each Thursday they offer 50% off your services if you're military. It is strongly recommended that you make an appointment in advance as these slots fill up far in advance. Quaint little shop located in a strip mall like area of Thalia Village. Parking is shared amongst the other shops but I had no issues. The aesthetician was very nice and welcoming. I plan to book in advance to take advantage of their promotions. Any service here warrants an appointment. When I called I was fortunate enough to get in same day due to a cancellation. Appointments allow for quality time for your services without feeling rushed. I don't know where to begin. It's currently 4 hours past my appointment and I'm taking Tylenol for pain. I was seen 15 min. Late for a Brazilian today with Krista. Though she was very nice, I was a bit worried when I felt the hot wax directly on my skin. They don't use strips. I was also told it all had to go. If you know what I mean. I have had many Brazilian's in the past. Today was hands-down the most painful and rough I've ever experienced. I was told I would have "hickies" for the rest of the day. This too, I had never experienced. If you are considering this establishment for waxing of these sensitive regions - DON'T DO IT!!! Groupon will make it seem like a deal. This place changed management and has gone downhill FAST. They charge 30% more for services and the service and quality is much worse. They also have completely new staff now. The old staff that they seemed to phase out were much better. The last thing I will say is they are completely CLASSLESS. Yesterday I got a text saying this: "Body Chateau beauties, we regret to inform you of a data breach of names and phone numbers by former esthetician (*they said the full name of the person, but obviously that is wildly unacceptable and I will not be putting a random employees name in my review*) We are prosecuting her fully and have filed an injunction against her. Please be aware that clients who see her may be subpoenaed to testify in court. Thank you for understanding, Body Chateau." This is such an unprofessional mass text to send out to your clients. It is threatening to clients who choose to go somewhere else. Which by the way they are going somewhere else because this place is just not what it used to be. I went because of the half off for military but I think they use new waxers for that deal. May hair grows back really quickly and it seems like they don't use enough product to pull the roots out. I swear the wax they use is laced with fairy dust omg. I would give Chateu 5 stars for cleanliness and professionalism but the pain was nothing like I felt before. Beware first time Brazilian waxers, be ready to bite a towel. Don't let them use strips on you like they did on me, I'm pretty sure my vagina was on the strip when she ripped it off. The area was so raw that I had to ice afterwards for two days and couldn't tolerate underwear. Definitely won't be coming back. This was my first time getting a professional Brazilian wax. Tbh normally I do it at home myself. When you walk in, you are immediately greeted by the receptionist, who wasn't the friendliest but we all have our days, you have to sign some type of "waiver" then just wait for your esthetician. I wish I remembered her name because she was super nice. The wax went by so fast, maybe 25 mins top which was great compared to my normal hour. She literally talked to me the entire time to get my mind off of the pain. My only complaint was it really wasn't a clean wax, when I got home and looked in the mirror I found a good of hair left in different spots that I could pull at. I came in today for an arm wax. The young lady who waxed me said she wasn't very experienced with doing an arm wax and it shows. When I came home to shower the wax off I noticed multiple patches of hair(see pics). I can't take pics of my under part of my upper arm but that part didn't even get touched. What did I pay a full arm wax for? Very disappointed, although I will say she was super nice, just not very experienced. The receptionist is also very rude. My first time ever getting a Brazilian wax- had it done by Jackie. It was the best experience I could've hoped for. I did myself a disservice by psyching myself out before hand, and it wasn't bad at all! Obviously there's going to be a little bit of pain, but it was completely bearable it didn't last for more than 15 seconds with each rip. My lady bits look amazing and feel amazing. Bought Groupon - we only got halfway through before I was actually crying. I've gotten tons of waxes. Not normally sensitive... Good response by staff - Got 2 comped Brazilians, one to fix the first half done job when I could tolerate...second to prove their quality? For second appt rushed through traffic to wait 45 minutes for a 20 min wax that was...ok... and got a hard sell about booking before the end of my "scheduled maintenance time" (a "hurry quick" gimmick...if you've had laser, it's going to take twice as long). Again, just not worth the overall experience. Recommend you spend some cash and head to an experienced salon. read more

Geet that Groupon while you can. It's so worth it, and the experience was soo easy- especially if it's your first time. I was honestly a little worried because I didn't get the name of the waxer, and I forgot to mention any of the names mentioned on Yelp. I was nervous and afraid and felt like I signed up for death, and I freaked myself out by reading way too many articles. I got Madison, and she was so chill. She walked me through everything she was doing and the next step. It wasn't awkward at all. It honestly only took about 6-8 minutes... it surprised me, to be honest. She offered to let me take breathers, but there was no point to scare myself further and risk the flow being interrupted and letting the awkwardness settle. It didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would. It hurt for a second- if even. It's quick, makes life convenient, and I think it's worth the money. Signing up for the next appointment after my Groupon was quick and easy, and I did it to save $25 (regular price: $65). There are products you can ask about and how to care for your skin. They are so friendly and so knowledgeable, which is extremely important. They care about your skin and any allergies. This place is wonderful, and I'll definitely be back. read more

I don't expect to go back. I was really red after my wax, more red than normal and I didn't notice until I got home and showered that I still had a lot of hairs left. I'm writing this review solely off the fact that I have tried several times to schedule an appointment with this shop and the lack of response back is astonishing. I have went into the shop knowing that I probably will not get seen that day but possibly the follow week or two and they are booked two to three months out (crazy, but that gives you the feeling that they are really good, right?). I have called numerous times and left messages with no call back. Hopefully they will see this and start returning calls. Had my underarms waxed here and I will never come back. First, I had to ask for a pillow to lay more comfortably and the pillow had a dirty pillow case. Thankfully, it was placed under some paper lining that you would see at a doctor's office- not very spa like or relaxing. After waxing my right underarm, I had to tell her to pluck what was left (and there was a lot left behind that you can clearly see) before she started on my left. After waxing my left side, more hair was left and was not plucked. I didn't even bother to tell her because I was over it and wanted to leave.
