Wow! I was in town for the holiday and I needed a mani/pedi badly. These guys are so good. Calvin and Lilly did a beautiful job on my nails. Calvin, was especially very meticulous in shaving the dead skin from my callouses and giving a good 3-5 minute scrub per leg. He even took a paint brush out to brush off excess nail polish. So meticulous! Nails are shaped and painted beautifully by both. Paraffin wax dip included. Thank you so much for a lovely job. Made appointment for gel manicure and pedicure 3 days ahead of time! Went in and got a very rushed gel polish change on my hands. No soaking, no lotion, no pushing back cuticles, nothing. Then got put in pedicure chair. Every nail person does them differently. I thought it was weird they did not soak my feet and just started immediately with color change, but what do I know. So the guy took off what was left of my 8 week old gel pedicure, wasn't much. Was never asked about shape, how short or long I wanted them, absolutely nothing. The guy put on new polish and then I was told "ok, done." I said I scheduled a gel pedicure. Henry then chimes in and said I scheduled a polish change. Nope, never in my entire life have I scheduled a polish change nor would I pay for a polish change that I can do at home myself. Also, I'm going on vacation so I would NEVER just do a polish change. I work on my feet all day. It would never even come out of my mouth for a polish change. Then I'm told well they can do massage & lotion (basically a proper pedicure like I scheduled), but they already put polish on my nails. I said forget it. Neither my feet nor hands were put in any water, no massage, no lotion, absolutely NOTHING except for what I could've done at home for free!!! They charged me $105 for just a gel polish change on my hands and feet!!!! No lotion, no massage...absolutely NOTHING for $105!!! And my toenails look HORRIBLE! He got polish on my skin and cuticles. I had to file them down when I got home bc the corners were so sharp! I had been there once before and seen Jessica and she was great. Unfortunately, she wasn't there and I only had this day to get my nails done before my trip. Came in with really botched nails after a bad gel manicure at another salon and a lot of breakage. I honestly didn't expect much could be done, but she did such a good job cleaning them up and giving me a fresh coat of polish so I can start growing them out again. Jessica, the owner does my nails. While working on my nails she keeps a head set on to answer the phone. On top of constantly getting interrupted to take a phone call, she also greets people and sometimes stops to go to cash register. She constantly stops in the middle to help others. Last time I went she came back to my nails and 3x started on the next nail before finishing the last one. I had to say something to her. I am a busy person as well, but I still give my customers 100% attention. It was quite annoying. This is always happening so I decided to go somewhere else. Not rushed like some other places. Vincent did my pedicure and they have awesome massage chairs that have USB ports in them! It's a rainy Saturday so I expected it to be busier as it's a small place with 6 pedi chairs and 6 mani chairs. Not too crowded but could imagine it would be? Definitely make an appointment! Another nail place gave me the WORST dip manicure I have ever seen so I raced over to Angel Nails to see if they could squeeze me in and fix them. I've recently moved to Virginia Beach and have tried 3 other nail salons, and Angel Nails Deluxe was the best hands down. I made an appointment and had to wait about 10 minutes for my services. I got a regular pedicure and a gel manicure; one man did my pedicure and another man came and did my gel manicure pretty much simultaneously. I usually don't like that because it is not as relaxing as getting the services consecutively, but I didn't mind because my time was limited yesterday. I found out about Angel Nails through a friend. I am very picky when it comes to nail salons and I wish I found this place sooner!!! I went to get a full set by Henry and he is AMAZING. I see him every 2-2.5 weeks now for a fill and he knows just how I like my nails!!. There is no going home a trying to fix them or filing them yourself. You can actually sit back and relax. I found out about this place from my coworkers who have been religiously going to this place forever. I had received a gift card from my coworker so I had to try. I had the best service there they really take great care of you! 3 people worked on me, Vincent did my pedicure, Lily did my manicure and Henry applied the chrome nails I wanted. They all were very friendly. It took me 2 hours there but they make sure you are taken good care of. So make sure you don't have anything planned after. I really like how they are very tech savvy with sterilizers and everything and it shows how clean they are and have the latest nail products. They are a bit pricey but worth every penny. At the end of your mani and pedi they do Spa Wax and they peel it. For your hands they massage it shortly after and your feet and hands will be super soft! Best nail place ive ever been to. They were very nice when i walked in greeted me and i only waited about 15 min because it was kinda busy just because its so good. They sat me down and the seats were nice and the lady did my toes really good. I got three massages one exfoliate one lotion then an oil massage. She trimmed up everything and did my shellac french tips amazing. They also did my nails while i was getting my toes done. They took off my acrylics very well and cleaned up my nail really nicely. Thirdly their basic pedicure includes scrubs, rubs, callus removal, mud rub, hot towel, and drying your toes in the chair while your massage chair works overtime on your back.
