Worst basic manicure ever! Bring back Tony! New owners need training on basic customer service.

They destroyed my nails! I went in for a gel manicure and I will never go back- stay away!

I had an excellent experience here!! Kim did my nails. $35 spa pedi, WiFi available, however no ability to add a tip on the credit card receipt. So please bring cash. I had to go back later and tip Kim. When the other over priced salon across the street tells you they are booked for the next four days, don't waste time, come to VB Nails!!! read more

My 89 year old mother, had two hours between doctor appointments last week. She has been coming to VB Nails for 20 years, and we called to see if Tony might possibly be free to re-do her nails. She had fallen and was in a wheelchair and arm sling, and wrist brace. Tony said he was getting ready to leave, but would stay for her. He changed his plans, treated her with such care, and even sat on the floor to give her a pedicure while she was still in her wheelchair. No wonder he has such a loyal customer base. I recently moved back to Va Beach, and was told by two people that VBNails was the place to go. So, I made an appointment on 12/15/18 for a pedicure and gel manicure. It was the epitome of a rush job. The man who did my pedicure turned on the water and told me to put my feet in; the water was scalding temperature. Thankfully, the woman next to my chair noticed my grimace and turned on some cold water. My pedicure was rushed so fast that each time he grabbed a leg or toe, my laptop nearly fell out of my lap. No exaggeration. Then another man did my gel manicure. I assume he was the manager because he answered the phone and scheduled appointments. The gel hardening light boxes were very old. Another rush job, and each time my hands were in the light boxes, he would disappear with his cell phone. He was gone so long that I had to take my hands out of the box due to being too hot. When one of my fingers touched the top of inside the box, it was so hot I immediately jerked my finger away from the top. I pulled the manicure man aside and told him how dissatisfied I was and showed him my nails. He looked and asked me to sit down and he'd "fix it." I declined his offer upset that he was okay with his job performance sufficient to allow me to pay $50. I tipped $10 due to habit and prior to inspecting my nails. I would like for VBNails to credit my AMX card immediately. Needless to say, my manicure looked like I had done it myself but worse. I'll let the photos that I took in my car immediately after leaving evidence my disappointing and uncomfortable experience at VBNails. Never again. read more

This is an excellent place to go and have a manicure or pedicure. I go to this nail salon often and have Cody paint my fingers and toes. Everybody that works here does a great job. I recommend this place. I only have a few places that I go to have my nails done and this is one of them!!! Very clean and many choices of color, and the bathroom is always clean as well. If your trying to get the Hailey Bieber/chrome nails they do it good here! I didn't get acrylics I got gel Polish so it would probably look even 10 times better with acrylics. read more

I love and trust VB nails . All technicians are excellent . My favorites are Kim , Lisa and John . They keep everything clean and sanitized . Everyone is professional and caring , always with a positive energy . Tony keeps everyone laughing and he can help the most difficult Ingrown toe nails . I love the comfortable massage chairs and foot /ankle massages too! The manicures and pedicures are very thorough and wonderful . I always feel amazing when I leave and my fingers and toes always look perfect . The polish is applied very well and lasts for weeks with out chipping. I give VB nails five stars ! read more

I asked for specific treatment (no cuticle cutting) and was impressed with the attention still paid to my hands and feet. Here on vacation got a wonderful pedicure and mother in law got acrylic refill. He took the time on my pedi and cleaned my nails and feet very well! I always look for that when I get pedi. Also refill looked wonderful Tony shaped her nails and painted them beautifully. Great place to come and close to the boardwalk !! read more

Recently moved to the area. Thought I would give them a try. What a mistake? I was convinced to get ombre...they are terrible they were so thick and clunky. The acrylic was old they started lifting after a few days. My cousin got gel manicure and there was gel everywhere on her skin. read more

Best nail salon ever! Been coming here for at least ten years and wouldn't go anywhere else! Nobody does nails as good as Tony, seriously the best! It's funny because sometimes, when I am out, and I see someone else's nails that look awesome, I always ask who does their nails, and 99% of the time, they tell me, Tony, at VB Nails, and I laugh. Yes, he is that good, but please don't tell him because it might go to his head. However, if you do, it's ok; his wife, Lisa, will put him in his place. And btw Lisa is excellent at picking out just the right color if you are indecisive like me, and she gives excellent pedicures too! Going to VB nails is like visiting family and friends; we always have a great time! John is also good at pedicures, but no worries, everyone there is good and has been with VB nails a long time. I am very picky and rarely give reviews but after ten years of having my nails done at VB nails I think I can finally vouch for them. Go see Tony; you won't regret it! read more
