I requested a French pedicure with regular polish and was told it couldn't be done--only gel was an option. I know that's not accurate because I've had that exact service done there before. The owner kept trying to push a gel pedicure despite me clearly declining. When I decided to leave, he then told me I owed $10 for simply running water in the pedicure chair. I refused, and he even threatened to call the police--I told him I'd gladly wait. The whole experience felt uncomfortable and unprofessional. Looking back, I should have trusted my first impression--there were no customers, and the atmosphere was off. Lesson learned: don't compromise quality for convenience. My friend told me about this place a few months ago and I cannot gate keep any longer Everyone who has ever done my nails there is amazing but JANE is my girl! She is the absolute BEST nail tech I have EVER had. Jane listens to exactly what you want and if you're indecisive like me she will help you figure something out that you will absolutely LOVE. They have 100s of colors including my fave cat eye options and they keep up with the newest, healthiest trends. On my nails I have the NEW T.A.P. Hybrid gel! It feels and looks so natural but is sturdy enough to last 3+ weeks. I'm rough on my hands at work and Jane makes sure she applies the right amount to ensure longevity. Another bonus, my natural nails are growing like crazy! Anyway...I could go on and on about how much I love this place. I'm scared to post because as busy as Jane is now y'all might make it harder for me to book an appt . Oh and another thing.... Their salon is A+ for cleanliness and amazing customer service! I recently moved to Monroe and was really excited to check out this salon. I came in for a refill…read moreservice. There appeared to be an employee holiday party happening during business hours while customers were still inside--which, given the holidays, wasn't an issue to me. However, it felt as though the nail technician was obligated to take me as a client and was interrupted from his festivities. I sat down, complimented his Christmas sweater, and explained what I wanted done. From the start, he was condescending and very rough with my hands, but I didn't say anything. Every request I made, he countered with options that didn't make sense. I'm not a nail artist--I simply asked for a soak-off because he didn't have the matching acrylic powder. Instead, he kept insisting on refilling with what he had, even though the colors didn't match and I wanted a French design. He repeatedly told me a French wasn't possible because the acrylic difference would show, which is exactly why I originally requested a soak-off. I tried to compromise by choosing a dark nude or gray, but it still wasn't the look I wanted. He then told me he couldn't do a French at all. At that point, I told him that as the artist, he should be able to offer solutions rather than rushing the process. He responded by speaking rudely in his language to his coworkers and then abruptly got up from his seat. I have never been treated this way in any establishment. I was shocked, confused, and embarrassed, and I truly wish I had never stepped foot inside. I came in with high hopes and left with nothing but attitude, rudeness, and disappointment--and no holiday nails I was so excited for. Moral of the story: ask all questions at the front desk before being assigned to a technician, so you don't end up with someone who clearly doesn't want to work or be bothered. (Tom)

Afterwards my nails were soft and brittle. Within days the gel nail polish started chipping and breaking. I went back to them and all they were willing to do is not charge me for the soak to remove the current gel polish. Even though they are fast the quality is subpar.

Busy is understandable and they work very hard. The problem is they don't tell you they are booked and too busy when you call to make an appointment. My only feedback is please don't make an appointment for when you're slammed. Tell me you are busy so I can plan a different time. Also don't charge to fix the rare lifting nail only days after having a fill-in. Otherwise the experience is perfect!

There is only one tech who is detail oriented enough that I would trust to do good work. And she was quiet, which was a super bonus because this place is a cacophonous chamber of aural torture. The owner is really loud and she seems to think she's funny. She just happened to be working next to my tech every single time. Not relaxing at all. coming to appointments here felt like a chore rather than self care. Further, every time I slipped my hands into those UV slots I could feel the residue of a thousand other hands that had done the same. I asked once if they disinfected between very client and my tech said they did, but never, ever in the year or so that I went, did I see them disinfect anything, including the tools. Just thinking about it skeeves me out! I have set myself free from the cost and the obligation of having to get the plastic nails repaired all the time, and my natural nails are starting to heal from the damage they caused!
