Don't recommend this place. I got a gel manicure. Prior to going my nails were hard. They did not soak the nails to remove the previous polish. They drilled it. Afterwards my nails were soft and brittle. Within days the gel nail polish started chipping and breaking. I went back to them and all they were willing to do is not charge me for the soak to remove the current gel polish. Even though they are fast the quality is subpar. read more

One of the nicer nail salons in the area. They have 16 pedicure chairs & 14 nail stations, so can handle many customers at once. They carry OPI polish, which is appreciated. The soothing classical music playing gives it a spa like feel. Only gripe is they told me it was a 10 min wait at the door, but was actually 25 min. I don't mind waiting, just wish they were more realistic in their timing estimate. I'd come back again. read more

I get pedicures only in special occasions, took my daughter with me. Service was too quick...no attention to details. When I mention the lady about my big toenail not being straight, she look and blame it on my toe shape. It was her not doing it right. I have been coming here since I moved to Monroe 3 years ago. I will admit, it was definitely trial and error. We've had some mishaps but I'm a creature of habit so I kept returning. I have seen plenty of nail techs go in and out. Just when I was about to give up on them, I found Anne. She is absolutely amazing! She takes her time (but still gets you out quickly). I gave this place two tries to get my nails right. I was getting engaged and told them that. I paid $65 for the first set and got nothing close to what I asked for except the color. I literally bawled over my nails. I went back in less than 10 mins after they were finished and asked them to fix them and was told they'd be $65 to fix them. I walked out. I called and talked to the owner and gaslit me, or tried to, into it being my fault the nails were screwed up but he told me half price to fix them. Whatever. I needed nice nails for the second biggest day of my life with the first being my wedding day. I went back the next day and was told $80. Absolutely not. Then I was gaslit and lied to with the original nail tech saying she never spoke to me to tell me a price (the $65 from the day before). She said she didn't want to do my nails and she wouldn't do them. I firmly and sternly told her I shouldn't have to pay at all but I agreed to half of the $65 and I'll keep my word. That's all I'm paying. She asked me "what is it you want to pay?" I repeated my statement. She walked off. Eventually came back and tried to file my nails to fix the shape. Not a chance. She removed my set. Sent me to someone else. Needless to say they're still screwed up and uglier than sin. They're thick, uneven shape, looks like a bugs butt. They're supposed to be almond/oval. I was told "extra $10 for long nail". Uhhh. No. You cut off half of the tip after chastising me for not having them long enough. I think absolutely not, I am not paying extra for giving you length so you don't screw my nails up again. Needless to say, I will never be back. Which sucks because there's a Ukrainian woman there who does amazing work. Everyone else is incompetent. I ended up paying almost $115 between 2 sets for nails an apprentice could have done and I'm still going to have to go somewhere else to get them fixed. read more

Went in for a pedicure. Decided on the Spa Pedicure, as it says it " would leave you feeling pampered ". Uh, nope. I felt nothing of the sort. I went to get a pedicure last week, it was mediocre. I went for the cheapest option when I usually go all out at other salons( so gave Benefit of the doubt due to price I paid) today, I went back for a full set, opted for gel and requested a manicure too since my cuticles looked bad. I asked for a rounded natural nail and ended up with almond or, what could be almond. They are all uneven. I asked multiple times to not make them pointy as i work in healthcare so, I have to wear gloves. Well, they are pointed and lop sided. She completely ignored my request for a pedicure and instead butchered my cuticles with the nail drill and said "it's okay I'll do it for free , no need to pay for manicure. " after I reminded her for the second time. 10/10 would not recommend. Also, when I was checking out she tried to charge me for a white/pink gel set and foot gel color. I would give zero stars if possible! Thought it would be nice mother daughter time. They rush you and ask several times if you have been there before. We said no which I guess they assumed we didn't know anything about how the nail process works, we asked for gel nail polish and when they get done with my toes and my daughters nails I notice they are not taking the steps for the gel nails. I ask if it was gel polish they said you never asked for gel when in fact I said gel when I booked the appointment. So they had to redo the nails and scolded us the hole time! Horrible experience! I arrived at 4:30pm and needed to get a mani pedi which was not possible because they started me at 5pm ( I had to pick up my kids by 6pm) which I was totally ok with until the owner told me " It would be nice that when you come and get your pedicure you can relax and don't have to hurry" I replied yes I know but I have to pick up my children and I waited a while before I got started to which he replied "It's not like you are going to walk in and be serviced right away there's at least a 10min wait." Waited to get my nails done (optional) in which I figured it wouldn't take long for her to do a fill in. Needless to say it took forever because she stopped doing my nails 3-4 times;to polish other customers toes, went to the front for people to check out( someone was already there to do that task) and to help clean. A week later a nail broke, went to see how much it would be to get it fixed. Walked in and everyone acted lost (didn't see the male owner who I would have rather dealt with). I went in requesting a polish change and the staff clearly didn't want to perform the services. She tells me to choose a color then as I start looking at the colors she picks up the book and says I can look while at the table. Once I sit down she says "it'll be a $30" for a polish change which is clearly an outrageous price. If you don't want to service someone just say that when they walk in the door. First time I went in, the owner ranted and raved about how they don't take walk-ins because they want to be able to get those with an appointment time in at their designated time slot without having them wait forever. Great - that was the whole reason I found a new salon, so I was pleased about that. My initial visit there, they talked about how thick my nails looked from the previous salon, yet I left with THICKER nails at Villa Nail Spa! What the heck? I gave them the benefit of the doubt though and went back for a second time. Second time I went in after making an appointment well in advance (a week), I spent an hour with acetone on my fingers and watched Lora do someone else's nails for that hour. I've gotten my nails done for 30 years - it doesn't take an hour to remove SNS, sorry. If they did a stellar job, I may have overlooked it, but honestly, they didn't. I got my SNS removed, had her file my REAL nail and left. I was so mad at the hypocrisy of them double-booking me that I left. I get things happen and sometimes you overbook by accident, but you can't tell me that? You leave me sitting there? Nope. My time is valuable, too.
