As a long-term client who has supported this business since 2019 through their relocation and the pandemic, I am deeply disappointed by my recent experience. After more than 20 sugaring services, this is not based on the quality of the providers, but due to the owner's short-sighted policies around their own "customer loyalty" program. When I recently presented my completed loyalty card for the advertised 50 percent discount, I was informed it could only be redeemed with the original provider, who no longer works there. That restriction was not communicated when the card was issued (nor is it printed on the card), and customers have no control over staff turnover. Staff contacted the owner, Kristen, who decided chose not to honor the promotion. While the providers I had, (Nou and Kait) were consummate professionals, the ownership seems to lack focus on customer satisfaction and retention. I happily supported a small business, holding up my side of the equation and expected the owner to do the same. Did my Brazilian with Nou, based on the amazing reviews I read about her on here. She didn't disappoint! Made me feel pretty comfortable and loved her humor. The only reason why I'm knocking off a star is because new clients are advised to come 15 minutes early and I was extremely diligent about making that mark, carving out extra time from my busy work day. I got there really early and there was absolutely no one at the front desk for almost 20 minutes. I ended up getting checked in about 10 minutes after my appointment time which was a little frustrating. The actual service itself is good to make me be a regular client though! Ladies (and men) this is THE place to come for hair removal. I'm serious. I have been all over Charlotte to try and find a waxing place with talented people, calming environment, and something that doesn't burn/take my skin off (that's gross but it has happened ). My skin is sensitive so I looked up sugaring and found this place. I was hesitant at first because to me (I'm a stingy person) I thought the price was a touch high, but oh my goodness is it worth it. For real.. I don't spend a lot of money on myself for "maintenance" type things, but this is 100% worth it. The staff is awesome! I've seen Jaielle quite a few times and she is wonderful. It's not awkward and she is genuinely interested in talking to her clients, making them feel comfortable and taking your mind off the pain as much as possible. Now when I say pain it's not horrible, but it is different for each person. Don't get me wrong, any time you remove hair, esp in sensitive areas, it will hurt! I've been getting traditionally waxed in my underarms and bikini line and full bikini for the last year or so and to be honest, most times I dread the process because traditional waxing is painful and it burns sometimes. I cannot brag enough about the whole customer service I received here. I booked my appointment through Yelp. Based on the appointment times shown available there wasn't a time open for the original service I wanted so I decided to get a similar service with less hair removal. I received both an email and text confirmation/reminder about my appointment ahead of time. I did have a little trouble finding the spa since there's a slightly curled piece of printer paper with the spa name on it on a dark tinted door window. Once I got in I was warmly met by the receptionist. I filled out the first time client paperwork and then was quickly greeted by my esthetician which happened to be Kristen the owner. When she was asking me questions about my knowledge of sugaring I told her I had originally wanted a different service due to scheduling availability and she told me she'd be able to still do that service instead of my compromise service. She talked to me the whole time and also thoroughly explained the necessity for a product that would help with skin irritation I already had and I could tell she knew a lot about this product and sugaring in general. She was over and done with the entire service in 15 minutes, which is the fastest I have ever received this service anywhere. Upon checking out, I did decide to get the travel size product that she recommended for me. I was given a little packet with some aftercare information and when ahead and read books for my next appointment. I use to get Brazilian waxes and switched to Brazilian sugaring. I'll never go back. The hair grows back slower and thinner and I get less ingrown hairs.
