I have been coming to Olea for about 6 months now & have been working with Jamie. She is AMAZING. Our first couple sessions consisted of her finding stretches and other movements that tend to my needs specifically. Once we were able to locate where the issues were stemming from, I noticed immediate improvement! Jamie is very understanding and extremely patient, as when I first came in to Olea I felt as if I have tried everything else & this was my last hope. Now I can move freely again! I am so grateful to Jamie and the rest of the Olea community!

I can't believe I haven't written a review for Olea yet!…read more My fiancee found Olea for me. I tweaked my shoulder pretty severely the night before a big performance and as the amazing person that he is, he googled Olea and booked an appt for me that night with the session being immediately the morning after. Already, 5 stars for being able to accommodate me within less than 12 hours and he was able to pre-pay them as well! My therapist, Katie, worked with me to fix me and relieve my pain temporarily but the best part was that she gave me exercises and showed me how to relieve pain on my own. That was gold! She was so. freaking. good that immediately after I started seeing her once a month for close to 6 months. During this time she really took the time to assess me properly, work on specific areas and cater my sessions to me + my body. Every session was phenomenal and I really learned a lot. Now I go back here and there. I can go back to get some real bodywork done or I can go back when I just feel like I need a zen, relaxing massage. I love that I can get whatever type of massage that I need in that moment. This is truly a gem in Charlotte! Definitely love the staff and the receptionist. I won't see anyone else. I've gotten massages on various vacations (resorts, cruises, etc) and it's an on-going joke between my fiancee and I now: He'll ask, "Is it Olea-good?" and I always respond, "Nope." because he knows how much I rave about them

I got a Groupon for a 1-hour massage. Alison was easy to reach (she actually returns phone calls!)…read more She also is great about communicating via texts. I was able to schedule for my appointment on July 4th. Location is easy to find in a small business park, not far off Independence Blvd. She shares the office space with other independent therapists; her room is no different from any other massage rooms I have been to - overall it was comfortable, dark and efficient. A few things I thought were positive about Alison: 1. She gave me a full hour! Not an hour but minus the changing in and out of clothes time. 2. She spent a good amount of time on my glute, a body part that is often forgotten during massage. 3. She spent time on head, feet & hands Overall I was very happy with the quality of her service. I know sometimes Groupon deals turn out to be "not-so-good" deals and I'm glad this is not the case.

But let's be honest: the real magic is Tina. I've been to spas all over the world, from luxury resorts to hidden little sanctuaries, and when my muscles are in full rebellion with those deep, stubborn tension knots, nobody compares to Tina. She doesn't just massage; she assesses. You can feel her mapping out every line of tension. Every pressure point is intentional, every movement strategic. The woman has magical hands and the expertise to back it up. If you need someone who actually knows what they're doing, not generic strokes, but real skill that gets at the source, Tina is the one. I won't see anyone else in Charlotte.

I wasn't asked about the pressure throughout the entire massage, but I was randomly wincing and recoiling at the pain. I could not relax, let go, or drift off. I wouldn't come back here. When I expressed how the face massage wasn't what I expected less than 5 minutes in, I was still charged full price for this service. There were also multiple points throughout the massage where the masseuse was hands off, and not massaging my body to grab lotion or whatever else, instead of keeping supplies handy. I'm saddened that this has been one of my worst "spa" experiences to date.
