I requested a French pedicure with regular polish and was told it couldn't be done--only gel was an option. I know that's not accurate because I've had that exact service done there before. The owner kept trying to push a gel pedicure despite me clearly declining. When I decided to leave, he then told me I owed $10 for simply running water in the pedicure chair. I refused, and he even threatened to call the police--I told him I'd gladly wait. The whole experience felt uncomfortable and unprofessional. Looking back, I should have trusted my first impression--there were no customers, and the atmosphere was off. Lesson learned: don't compromise quality for convenience. Out of respect for the technician (who I started seeing after I delivered my son), I will not post her name. My pedicure went well, but everything went downhill afterwards. I requested that my existing nails be soaked off. Instead of properly soaking them, the nail technician essentially ripped them off my nails. The process was so rough that my thumb began bleeding. She took a fake nail and slid it under the acrylic to remove my nails. She said "oh no, I'm sorry". What upset me even more was that instead of just apologizing, I was told it was because I have "thin nails." That is simply not true. My thumb was bleeding because my nails were not removed correctly. When I checked out, I spoke with who I believe was one of the owners to explain what had happened. Rather than showing concern or offering an apology, I felt dismissed and looked at as though I was overreacting. The interaction was demeaning, and I left feeling like my concerns didn't matter. To make matters worse, when I asked for my receipt, it was handed to me in a way that felt rude and dismissive. I have never left a salon feeling so embarrassed, disrespected, and insignificant. I can't say why I was treated this way. I don't know if it was simply poor customer service or something else, but regardless, no customer should leave feeling this way. Unfortunately, I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend this salon based on my experience. I believe customers deserve to be treated with care, respect, and professionalism--especially when a service results in an injury.

However, it felt as though the nail technician was obligated to take me as a client and was interrupted from his festivities. I sat down, complimented his Christmas sweater, and explained what I wanted done. From the start, he was condescending and very rough with my hands, but I didn't say anything. Every request I made, he countered with options that didn't make sense. I'm not a nail artist--I simply asked for a soak-off because he didn't have the matching acrylic powder. Instead, he kept insisting on refilling with what he had, even though the colors didn't match and I wanted a French design. He repeatedly told me a French wasn't possible because the acrylic difference would show, which is exactly why I originally requested a soak-off. I tried to compromise by choosing a dark nude or gray, but it still wasn't the look I wanted. He then told me he couldn't do a French at all. At that point, I told him that as the artist, he should be able to offer solutions rather than rushing the process. He responded by speaking rudely in his language to his coworkers and then abruptly got up from his seat. I have never been treated this way in any establishment. I was shocked, confused, and embarrassed, and I truly wish I had never stepped foot inside. I came in with high hopes and left with nothing but attitude, rudeness, and disappointment--and no holiday nails I was so excited for. Moral of the story: ask all questions at the front desk before being assigned to a technician, so you don't end up with someone who clearly doesn't want to work or be bothered. (Tom)

During my service, the nail technician used an electric filing system on my natural nails. Since the manicure, all of my fingernails have become extremely thin and brittle, and the damage has continued as my nails have grown. Most concerning, one of my thumbnails has now split/separated into two layers, leaving me having to protect it while the damaged portion grows out. I contacted the owner to explain what happened and show her the condition of my nails. Her response was essentially to ask me what I wanted her to do because she had never seen anything like this before. I found that response particularly disappointing. As the owner of a nail salon, I expected concern, accountability, and an effort to address the damage--not for the responsibility of determining a solution to be placed back on me as the customer. This isn't simply a matter of not liking how my nails looked after a manicure. My natural nails were physically damaged, and I am now dealing with brittle, peeling, and splitting nails that will take months to completely grow out. I understand that problems can occasionally happen with any service. What matters is both the quality of the service and how a business responds when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with both in this situation. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this salon to be cautious about allowing an electric file to be used extensively on their natural nails.

The ladies who work here are incredible and do wonderful work. I have had great experiences with them, and the woman who did my pedicure today was fantastic. Unfortunately, my manicure that was done by the man (owner/manager) was a completely different experience. He did not ask me what shape I wanted and started shaping my nails square. When I explained that I wanted a rounded shape, he repeatedly sighed and acted frustrated when I asked him to round the edges more. He also argued with me multiple times about the length of my nails when I asked to cut them shorter. He said, "I'm going to cut them short then you're going to want them long when we get finished." I am the customer paying $163 (before tip) for this, therefore should be able to communicate the shape and length I want without feeling like I am inconveniencing the person doing my nails. The finished manicure was also very sloppy. I do a better job at home. There are areas where the polish does not cover the entire nail, visible splotches and unevenness, and the shape is not what I requested. I pointed out specific things that I wanted fixed before I left, but he would not correct them. Instead, he looked at me and said, "We're all done. Go pay." And he got up to walk to the register. I wasn't asking for perfection. I was asking for an issues to be corrected before leaving. I want to be very clear that my experience is not a reflection of the ladies who work here. They have always been wonderful, and my pedicure today was excellent. My issue is specifically with the manicure I received from the owner/manager and the way he acted when I tried to communicate. I hope the owner takes customer concerns more seriously in the future, because the women working here clearly care about providing good service, and I would hate for one poor experience to overshadow the excellent work they do.

I entered with the mindset for walking out with pretty polished toes, but quickly changed my focus to healthy feet first. I no longer wanted to put lipstick on the pig. Katrina was very professional, knowledgeable and patient. The atmosphere was beautifully decorated with positive phrases of affirmation and soothing music very relaxing. The room, equipment and staff presentation was as sterile as an operating room. I have Happy Feet!!!!! I will be returning for a follow appointment. You can tell they take pride in what they do.
